    I have upgraded MediaWiki from 1.9.3 to 1.16.1 in a new server. However, the google map is not showing in the link. It's a blank in that page but in the old server with old version it is working fine. I am not a developer so I have no clue on this.     I know it sounds simple but I have 2 problems. On the first sheet I can delete the worksheet by clicking on the tab dropdown and clicking delete, but it reappears when I leave and come back.     I've got an SSD drive for root and /home, and a larger HDD for storage. The storage disk is almost full, and there's a low disk space warning on startup. The warning doesn't have any "don't show again" option, only "ignore" and "examine". It also doesn't go away but sticks on the screen until the ignore button is clicked, so it's very annoying in addition to being competely unnecessary. I tried unselecting the storage HDD in baobab's settings, but that didn't have any effect. I also tried gconf-editor, and looked for apps - gnome_settings_daemon - plugins - housekeeping, but there is no "plugins" under "gnome_settings_daemon". Only "gtk-modules" and "keybindings".   • USB disk not recognized after detaching from DVD player. What to do?

    I had one Transcend 4GB USB stick formatted to NTFS and was working fine. Today I inserted this disk into a DVD player, and it was saying, "loading". After a long time, noting happened, and it seemed that the stick (NTFS) is not recognized by it. I took out the stick and tried to reformat to FAT32. But the stick is not being recognized in my machine (Ubuntu 12.04). I tried the advices from USB drive not recognized after Erase Disk, without any success. When I tried Disk Utility, the stick is indicated as a generic device. See image, Formatting this device fails, saying, No medium found. Again see image, gparted does not even list this device. The same thing happens for fdisk. It is not listed there. Have I totally lost this stick? What should I do?

    Let say I have foo.bar domain, and I force the user to use the https over http. The question is as browsers just accept and load the forwarded/new page(when the request for http://foo.bar - https://foo.bar), does the google bot(or other search engines) accept the forwarded page and index the new page and just ignore the old page? in other word, does search engines accept https beside the http? thanks in advance.

    I share my computer with someone who does not have a google account, I do not want them to be able to click on chrome and potentially access my saved data (ie. passwords/CC info). Everytime I attempt to logoff chrome (not my email, chrome itself), I only get the option to delete or change user. I just want my info off, do I have to delete my account each time or is there a way to just log my infomation off chrome?

Every time that I start up Firefox with the intent to go to a specific page, I end up typing half the URL in the Google search box when iGoogle steals focus away from the URL bar.     So I'm doing a fresh install of Ubuntu on my laptop right now. I also have a jumpdrive with Ubuntu installed on it with a persistent setup. What I would like is to be able to plug the jumpdrive into my laptop and have the installs sync certain data. I don't want docs and such to sync of course, but I would like some software to sync with installs and updates, mostly security and recovery stuff. Here's an example of what I would like to happen: I already have TestDisk installed on my jumpdrive but I haven't booted the drive in a while. I plug it in to my laptop where TestDisk has been updated and Wireshark has been installed. I would like the jumpdrive to check to see what has changed on the laptop install (in this case TestDisk has updated and Wireshark has been installed) and make those changes to the jumpdrive. Is there any kind of software to do that?

    I am a new Ubuntu user who has spent a lot of time on Windows. A very common practice for me on Windows was making two drives, C: and D: , storing installs/files in C:, and I used D: for backup or if I downloaded something that I wanted to save, I saved in D: When installing Ubuntu, it asked me if I wanted to replace Windows 7. I thought it would install Ubuntu on C: but instead it used the whole partition, nevertheless I recovered my backup using testdisk. What I wanted to do was to create a similar backup drive on Linux too. My current partition table: sda 8:0 0 232.9G 0 disk +-sda1 8:1 0 230.9G 0 part / +-sda2 8:2 0 1K 0 part +-sda5 8:5 0 2G 0 part [SWAP] sr0 11:0 1 1024M 0 rom So should I use Gparted to create another sda3 and store my important data on that? Also my current sda2 is listed as an extended partition, should I delete it? It's a very small partition, just 1K.
