• Is possible to auto-import a module from a diferent subfolder in other subfolder?

  I have a kind of plugin system, with this layout: - Python -- SDK -- Plugins ---- Plugin1 ---- Plugin2 All 3 have a __init__.py file. I wonder if is possible to be able to do import SDK from any plugin (as if SDK was in the site-packages folder). I'm in a situation where need to deploy, update, delete, add or change SDK files or any of the plugins under non-admin accounts, and wonder if I can get SDK in a clean way (I could sys.path.append in all plugins but I wonder if exist a better option). I imagine that using this in the Plugins init coulkd work: import sys import os ROOT_DIR = os.path.abspath(os.path.join(os.path.dirname(__file__),'..')) print ROOT_DIR sys.path.append( ROOT_DIR ) But clearly is not executed this code (I imagine init was auto-magicalled executed in the load of the module :( )

• How do I add xen kernel boot parameters in grub2?

  I know that I can add command line parameters to the grub2 command line by editing /etc/default/grub according to this answer How do I add a boot parameter to grub2 in Ubuntu 10.10? However, that would apply to ALL kernels would it not? How do I apply the command line parameters to specific kernels? i.e. only xen. • Android - BroadcastReceiver CONNECTIVITY ACTION

  in my project there's a service that listens for changes in the connectivity. When wifi is switched off to on then it gets called. The problem it's that i'm using a fragment and inside a fragment there's a button with the setonclicklistener(); and onclick(); SOMETIMES when i touch the button then the service receives an intent that the connectivity has changed (the method gets called without any reason...). • How does one pronounce "cron" as in "cron job"?

  Before someone ban-hammers this question as they do with all other pronunciation questions, let me explain its relevance. Verbal communication among co-workers and partners is important; today I was on a conference call with people discussing what I thought was something to do with "Chrome", as in Google Chrome. I pronounce the "cron" in "cron job" with a short O, much like "tron", "gone," or "pawn", but this individual pronouced it with a long O, as in "hone", "bone", or "stone" (notice the e at the end of all those!). Is there a standard pronunciation? Or is this a matter of opinion. For example, there's nothing ambiguous about the pronunciation of "Firefox", but debate is raging over "potato" and "tomato".

  I've getting lots of 404 errors from crossdomain.xml. • Maximize, minimize and close buttons are either not present or not working in Lubuntu

  As the title indicates, the maximize, minimize, and close buttons are either not present or not working on my Lubuntu desktop. In fact, it only seems to be Google Chrome that displays the buttons at all, and only the close button works in Chrome, maximize and minimize don't do anything. When I use regular Ubuntu, they're all there just fine but not on Lubuntu. This all seemed to occur after I hooked my netbook up to an external monitor while using Lubuntu. Not sure if that had anything to do with it or not, but it seemed too big of a coincidence to not mention. Any ideas what the cause and a fix might be? Thanks in advance.

• Blogger Dynamic template sometimes broken

  In all browsers (IE, Chrome, etc.) in my office and in all Blogger blogs using the dynamic template, I'm having this strange problem: No menu on the right side (except for the Subscribe button - other buttons are missing) plus no layout selection bar (top row). This problem is occasional, not happening reliably; any ideas? Update: whenever I get the menu problem with dynamic templates, I also seem to get a broken page (in Chrome, IE, etc) with simple templates - see second screenshot. Does anyone having this issue?
