    Hi, I have built a small text based search engine on ROR which will display relevant records having a specified search word in it.since few of the records has more than 1000 words i have truncated each result set to 200 characters.My views file search.html.erb looks like this <% @results_with_ranks.each do |result| -%> <% content_id = rtable.find(result[0]).content_id %> <% content= Content.find(content_id) %> <%= truncate content.body, :length => 200 %><br/> <p> Record id <%= content.id %></p> <hr style="color:blue"> <% end -%> I want to provide an option so that whenever any truncated record is selected its entire body has to be displayed. I also want to paginate the result page displaying some fixed number of records per page.Can any body help me in doing this? Thanks in advance.

    I wonder if there are any good practices for addressing Spring controllers in JSP. Suppose I have controller: @Controller class FooController { // Don't bother about semantic of this query right now @RequestMapping("/search/{applicationId}") public String handleSearch(@PathVariable String applicationId) { [...] } } Of course in JSP I can write: <c:url value="/search/${application.id}" /> But it's very hard to change url then. If you familiar with Rails/Grails then you now how this problem resolved: redirect_to(:controller => 'foo', :action = 'search') But in Spring there is so much UrlMappers. Each UrlMapper have own semantic and binding scheme. Rails alike scheme simply doesn't work (unless you implement it yourself). And my question is: are there any more convenient ways to address controller from JSP in Spring?

On click of search button, results are obtained. How do I load the array and redisplay tableview with results in search method. After I loaded the results in array, I tried [self viewdidload];, hoping the cells will be loaded. But didn't.     I have a table categories containing categories id having the records of 1 to 20. when i am doing the search query by using the IN function in mysql i got the results. but i am struggling to get the results using order by. The limit may be vary for every search as this is one of the input value. For example I have tried this query to find out the search results, select * from categories where category in (20,16,12,8) order by rand(), id limit 0,6 this query is executed and the results are in random category_id. the results will be, 8 12 16 20 and following this, another two records must be 8 12 If category_id contains only one record for 8 then, it should follow from 12,16. How can i achieve this ? thanks in advance.
