  • Display arbitrary size 2d image in opengl

    I need to display 2d images in opengl using textures. The image dimensions are not necessarily powers of 2. I thought of creating a larger texture and restricting the display to the part I was using but the image data will be shared with openCV so I don't want to copy data a pixel at a time into a larger texture. EDIT - it turns out that even the simplest Intel on board graphics under Windows supports none-power-of-2 textures.

    I'm looking for recommendations for an easy to use reporting/business intelligence tool that can interface with an sql server or access database. It can be web-based or a desktop tool. Ideally it would be freeware or low cost, and easy to use for users who are not that technically savvy (below the level of someone who can generate reports and complicated queries in Access). Any tools I've seen so far (such as Crystal Reports) are either too expensive or too complicated to use for non-power users.

    I have been trying to make a Cross-platform 2D Online Game, and my maps are made of tiles. My tileset, which I render the tiles from, is quite huge. I wanted to know how can I disable hardware rendering, or at least making it more capable. Hence, I wanted to know what are the basic limits of the video ram, as far as I know, Direct3D has a texture size limits (by that I don't mean the power-of-two texture sizes).

All documentation I have seen refers to .NET or Java solutions, I was in doubt whether PHP can be used as access is performed using SOAP. I have found no further information about this, I assume the answer is yes, but wonder why there is not a single reference to this being possible - all solutions seem to be .NET Any suggestions?     Im trying to force my phone to go to sleep as soon as i turn my screen off, but whenever i install with adb, packagemanager informs me that it wont grant the permission i need, so my service throws an exception. I was able to install another app called power save mode toggle which has the same permission, and it seems to work, so i should be able to get this to work, right?

  • So what if custom HTML attributes aren't valid XHTML?

    I know that is the reason some people don't approve of them, but does it really matter? I think that the power that they provide, in interacting with JavaScript and storing and sending information from and to the server, outweighs the validation concern. Am I missing something? What are the ramifications of "invalid" HTML? And wouldn't a custom DTD resolve them anyway?

It is completely 2D, and I draw bitmaps as sprites on the canvas, and it technically works, but I have a few features that I need to add that will require drawing many more bitmaps on the screen, and there will be a lot more movement. After paying a huge amount for a database, doing all the processing including batch at the app server and not using the power of the database seems to be a waste.     I've been looking at L.in.oleum and am intrigued by it's mix of higher-level constructs (loops, dynamic variables) with low-level assembler power (registers). Are there other languages like Lino out there, which blend the speed of assembler with productivity enhancing features? EDIT: I realized this kind of sounds like an ad. I'm genuinely interested in other assembler-like languages, Lino is just the only one I happen to know of.
