  • Error while generating a PDF file with Excel in ASP.NET

    I have to generate an excel file and a PDF file from an asp.net application. I'm using the Interop assemblies and I can generate the excel file without any problem. But when I'm generating an pdf file with the add-in SaveAsPDFandXPS.exe I'm getting the next error: Exception HRESULT: 0x800A03EC with a debug I see the error is in the next method which is used to export de PDF file: _objWB.ExportAsFixedFormat(Excel.XlFixedFormatType.xlTypePDF, _nombreArchivo, Excel.XlFixedFormatQuality.xlQualityStandard, false, false, Type.Missing, Type.Missing, false, Type.Missing);

  • Undesired "flashing" in Jquery dropdown menu?

    Hi, I've got the following piece of Jquery: $("#collapse-menu > li > a").click(function() { $(this).toggleClass("expanded").toggleClass("collapsed").find("+ ul").slideToggle("medium"); }); What it basically does is expands or collapses a menu of nested "lists" which contain dropdowns (simplified example): <ul id="collapse-menu"> <li><a class="expanded">Basic Details</a> <ul> <li> <select> .... </select> </li> <li> <select> .... </select> </li> The code works absolutely fine EXCEPT when a large value is selected in any of the dropdowns. At that point, when clicked, the menu will still expand/collapse correctly but "flash" quickly while doing so, as if the entire element was being reset somehow. The data itself is fine but it's the flashing that's unwanted. The strange thing is that if a small value is selected in a dropdown, there's no flashing. When a large value is selected (say, above 30 in an age dropdown of 18-99), the flashing starts happening. Can anyone tell me why this is happening? Or whether there's something not right about the Jquery that's causing this. Thanks. UPDATE: Adding a bounty to this. Have tried a few similar plugins/solutions out there on the net but they all seem to suffer from this "flashing" problem when large dropdown values are selected by default. If it helps, here's a typical similar solution: http://www.i-marco.nl/weblog/jquery-accordion-menu/index_collapsed.html# ... but it suffers from the same problem when dropdowns are added inside the accordion. I hope someone has a clean solution, instead of needing to hack this somehow.

  • How to store UISegmentedControle state in NSUserdefaults

    The problem is when de selectedSegmentIndex is unselected: "UISegmentedControlNoSegment" alias "-1". The other states (0, 1, 2 , etc.), I can store as Integers and retrieve with carTypeSegmentedControl.selectedSegmentIndex = [defaults integerForKey:@"typeOfCar"]; But -1 is no NSInteger. I also tried to remove the Integer out of the NSUserdefaults but a request would return an "0", which is not acceptable. So, is there another easy way? tnx for reading

    For the life of me I cannot deserialize the protobuf file from Open Street Maps. I am trying to deserialize the following extract: http://download.geofabrik.de/osm/north-america/us-northeast.osm.pbf to get Nodes and I am using http://code.google.com/p/protobuf-net/ as the library. I have tried to deserialize a bunch of different objects but they all come up null.     java.util.Collections has several unmodifiable methods that provide unmodifiable collection views by wrapping collections in decorators that prohibit mutation operations. Java 6 added support for java.util.NavigableSet and java.util.NavigableMap. I'd like to be able to have unmodifiable NavigableSets and NavigableMaps, but java.util.Collections#unmodifiableSortedSet(SortedSet) and java.util.Collections#unmodifiableSortedMap(SortedMap) are not sufficient because they do not support the operations that are particular to NavigableSet and NavigableMap. Are there de-facto implementations for unmodifiableNavigableSet and unmodifiableNavigableMap?

A de-facto equivalent definition of that type already exists in our solution in a different assembly. When adding the SoapTypeAttribute to the existing class and replacing the references to the generated class in the generated code, everything runs perfectly and as expected. How would I tell Visual Studio to use the existing class in the generated code?

  • Is it possible to access a running instance of an app using JNA/JNI?

    I'm writing a test engine for a Java application that has some of the code written in C. This application uses JNI to access it's native part. In the engine I'm writing, I use Fest to control de UI and perform the tests. However, I,m blind when dealing with the part that is written in C. I wonder if I can use JNA or JNI to access the native part of the app. I believe that the fact that the application is already running is huge issue here.

I've searched high and low and it's hard to find references to this pattern anywhere outside of PoEAA.
