  • ant support for dynamic target

    I previous saw some similar questions on stackoverflow but didn't see any solution. I guess the answer could be impossible and I am trying to see who can provide me this confirmation. AFAIK, an ant project contains several targets and each target may have several tasks. There is an task MacroDef that defines a sequential of `things' (tasks I suppose?). I tried to put target inside this block but ant complains the name of the target is missing (I am using the attribute of the macrodef to generate the name of the target). So it could be a dead end. Then I found that by using a task `script', we have access to the Project and can even call addTarget/AddOrReplaceTarget from there. But it seems that the targets I create there have no impact on the running targets. Does that mean ant doesn't support manipulating dependencies at target runtime? Is there any way to generate these targets before ant start building the dependency graph?

    I scripted the tables in my dev database using SQL 2008 - generate scripts option (Datbase-right click-Tasks-Generate Scripts) and ran it on the staging database, but the script throws the below error for each table Msg 102, Level 15, State 1, Line 1 Incorrect syntax near '('. Msg 319, Level 15, State 1, Line 15 Incorrect syntax near the keyword 'with'. If this statement is a common table expression, an xmlnamespaces clause or a change tracking context clause, the previous statement must be terminated with a semicolon.     Hi there, I hope I can make myself clear in English and in what I want to create. I first start with what I want. I want to make a IBANcalculator that can generate 1-n IBANnumbers and also validate a given IBANnumber. IBANnumbers are used in many countries for payment and the tool I want to make can be used to generate the numbers for testing purpose. On wikipedia (Dutch site) I found a list with countries and their way of defining the IBANnumber. What I want to do it to make a kind of an array that holds all the countries with their name, the code, there IBANlength, the bankingformat and the account format. The array needs to be used to: Generate a select list (for selecting a country) used to check part for generating numbers used to check part for validating number I don't know if an array is the best way, but that's so far the most knowledge I have.     I need to keep under version some large files (some Gigs). I don't need, and I can't keep under version all the version of the files. I want to be able to remove from my VCS large files version at some moment. What control version system could I use? EDIT: The files that I want to keep under version control are big .zip files or ISO images. These files may contains executable software or data (seismic data, SAR images, GNSS data) and they are provided by the software supplier of my company.

    The google page speed tool recommends me to set 'Expires' headers for images etc. But what is the most efficient way to set an Expires header for an image?   • jQuery Supersized Plugin callback when slideshow finishd

    I am using the Supersized jQuery plugin which makes images fullscreen and also implements a slideshow. Currently, this plugin does not have a callback for when the slideshow is finished, rather, it just continually repeats. Is there a way that I could trigger a function after the last slide is shown? Currently, I have it working to trigger a function when the last slide STARTS to be shown, as I have a setInterval which checks for the "last" class on the slideshow images. But, this runs the function when that last slide starts, not when it is finished. Does anyone have ideas on how I could accomplish this?

  • CSS Sprites : Mysterious Concept Explored ?

    I have 3 different images and now I want to create an sprite using css so that I am reducing HTTP Request. I am totally new to this concept and have not idea as to how to approach this. Can anyone suggest me what would be best bet for me ? Also I have seen there are some CSS Sprite generator engines where in you submit .zip folder containing your images and than they would combine it. I tried doing that but did not understood of what was happening and so any guidance regarding creating and using CSS sprites would be highly appreciated. Update: I have gone through the AList Part but it was not very clear to me. Can anyone explain the use case of CSS Sprites using an example ? Thanks.

  • Routing error when trying to use same view for update and create flows (Rails 3)

    My overall use case: I have a Listing model that has many images. The Listing detail page lists all the fields that can be updated inline (through ajax). I want to be able to use the same view for both update listing and create new listing. My listing controller looks as follows: def detail @listing = Listing.find(params[:id]) @image = Image.new #should this link somewhere else? respond_to do |format| format.html # show.html.erb format.xml { render :xml => @listing } end end def create # create a new listing and save it immediately. So the view doesn't break. @listing.save @image = Image.new # redirect_to "/listings/detail/@listing.id" #this didn't work respond_to do |format| format.html # show.html.erb format.xml { render :xml => @listing } end end The PROBLEM I'm using a partial that shows the same form for the create view and the detail view. This works perfectly except for one thing: When I pull up http://0.0.0.0:3000/listings/detail/7, it works perfectly.     At my place of work we have a legacy document management system that for various reasons is now unsupported by the developers. I have been asked to look into extracting the documents contained in this system to eventually be imported into a new 3rd party system. From tracing and process monitoring I have determined that the document images (mainly tiff files) are stored in a number of 1.5GB files. These files seem to be read from a specific offset and then written to a tmp file that is then served via a web app to the client, and then deleted. I guess I am looking for suggestions as to how I can inspect these large files that contain the tiff images, and eventually extract and write them to individual files.

    Hi, Let's say i have an image uploader script, i want to prevent the upload directory from executing Php or even html by only showing it as plain text, i've seen this trick in many websites but i don't know how they do it. Briefly, if i upload evil.php to that directory, and i try to access it i will only see a plain text source , No html or php is executed. ( but i still want the images to appear normally ofcourse) I know i can do like that by header("content-type:text/plain"); but that's will not be helpful, because what i want, is to set the content-type:text/plain automatically by the server for every thing outputed from the upload directory except images. Note: i'm running php 5.3.2/Cent OS and the latest cPanel. Thanks

  • jquery ui-effects-wrapper causing havoc

    Hi all, I am using jquery-ui and at some point I use the show and hide functions quite heavily to animate changing images coming in and out. From some reason, after a few tries all of a sudden the controls on my page stop responding to clicks. After a bit of poking arround using firebug I discovered my page is filled with div's of the class ui-effects-wrapper. I have no idea why this happens or how to stop it. If I remove these divs I can no longer see the images I've been animating. Any ideas?

    I am using S3 to store images and I am resizing and compressing images before it gets uploaded using PHP.     Hi, I am not sure if there is a term to describe this, but I have observed that content management systems store all kinds of data in a single table with their bare minimum properties while the meta data is stored in another table in form of key value pairs. for eg. everything (blog posts, pages, images, events etc) is stored in one table and considered as a post. I understand that this allows for abstraction and easy extensibility we are considering designing our new project this way. It is not exactly a CMS but we plan to keep adding modules to it in stages. Lets say initially there will be only posts and images on which comments can be posted. Later on we might add videos which will also have the commenting feature. what are the drawbacks of this approach ? and will it work for a requirement like ours ? Thanks

I am working on the google maps integration in iphone (objective C). i am calculating zoom level dynamically so that two map points fits the iphone screen. it is good for locations very far, but i have issue that if two locations are very near to each other the zoom level then the images go blank and does not show anything other than blurred image, which i dont want. i want that if location are very near then there should be some default level zoom that should be called or fitted in, so that images wont blur.

    According to this, there's no way to convert a HRESULT error code into a Win32 error code.
