  Is it possible to add an effect to a datagrid when I call invalidatelist to update the data? If it can be done, can the effects be selectively applied to only certain cells in the grid? The grid is showing an array with some nested array in it. I'm using an int counter to keep track of the nested array element position. When the counter is advanced, I tell the grid to update using invalidatelist.

  I have an android app that periodically, say once a week downloads content from a server in XML. The content is used by the app, different Acitivities use different parts of the content. My question is a design one, should I save the data in SQlite or just keep it as an XML file, which one would be faster to read? The app can only use one content piece at a time, which means subsequent XML content downloads replace the old one.

  I have an HD 250 Gb It is portioned to C,D,E C has 50 GB D has 50 GB and the rest is given to E, On C I have Windows 7, I decided to install Opensuse On E. I have installed Opensuse Successfully. Now Opensuse loader shows Windows7 option when I it loads but, when I chose to load windows 7 I get " A Disk read error occured, press ctrl+alt+e to restart". Does any one has an Idea How to fix windows 7 and keep Opensuse ? My Opensuse is 12.2. Thanks

  Weird question: I have an iPod Touch and plan to get an iPhone once the next generation comes out. Now, my main machine is a Windows PC which is where the iPod is connected to. As I need a Mac to do development, I wonder if it is possible to connect the iPod to the Mac for Xcode/Development but keep it synced to Windows for Syncing?   I have a number of .js files that I would like to be stored in the same directories as their views (they're specific to a view - its simply to keep the javascript separate from the view's HTML) However, adding them to the /Views/ControllerName/ directory wont work because when a request is made to the webserver for the .js file: <script type="text/javascript" src="/Views/ControllerName/myscript.js"></script> It would essentially be directed at the 'Views' controller which obviously doesnt exist.   Are there any search tools that allow you to set up a simple token/grammar parsing system that work similar to regular expressions? What we want to do is search our ColdFusion code for queries that do not have cfqueryparams in them. A regular expression gets a bit tough in this situation because I can't keep track of the start tags while looking for something else before getting an end tag. It seems like a parsing system would work more accurately.

• When would I want to model a class with a private ctor?

  Hi, I've seen plenty of classes in .NET which have private constructor (Stream is one of them I think). When would I want to model a class like this? I keep thinking that if my class has no internal state/fields, then I can make it have a private constructor. Am I on the right track with this idea? I can understand the use of a factory (I've run into the tipping point a few times), but not with a private constructor class. Thanks
