  I'm trying to get the title of the active window. The application is a background task so if the user has Eclipse open the function returns "Eclipse - blabla", so it's not getting the window title of my own window. I'm developing this in Python 2.6 using PyQt4. • drupal hook_menu_alter() for adding tabs

  I want to add some tabs in the "node/%/edit" page from my module called "cssswitch". When I click "Rebuild Menus", the two new tabs are displayed, but they are displayed for ALL nodes when editing them, not just for the node "cssswitch". I want these new tabs to be displayed only when editing node of type "cssswitch". The other problem is when I clear all cache, the tabs completely dissapear from all edit pages.   I am facing a strange issue with JSF. I have developed one controller and bind it to request scope. I need to access one jsf page like http://localhost:8080/selectRule.jsf?type=A and on the same IE session I want to issue another request like http://localhost:8080/selectRule.jsf?type=B as we can see, only the type is changing here. This is why I have a ruleController bound to request scope, so that every request, creates the controller and pulls out the data depending upon type. I have a private HtmlSelectOneMenu choices item in the page. What I see is, somehow only once in the session the getChoices() is getting called. This is what I see For each url, one new ruleController object is getting created. Only first time getChoices() are called. In the subsequent time, if I change the URL in the web browser, the getChoices() method are not getting called though a new controller is getting created. Note: I am using JSF 1.1

Now have lots of .BAD files each one containing an error message and somewhere in the middle, the actual email address it was supposed to be sent to. What is the easiest way to extract from each file "just" the "email address", so that I can have a list of the actual failed emails? I can code in C# and any suggestion will be truly welcomed. And later the selectedTypeChanged()-listener-method. So everytime the selected editor style type is update one selection later. I.e. after a page reload (the type is initally null) the user selects the A, now the getDynamicEditorGrid() is executed again with type null and after that the type is changed to A. Again the user selects now B (after A) and now the getDynamicEditorGrid() is executed with the type A and after that the type is changed to B. What is wrong with my code? How can I fix this really strange behavior...

  I keep coming across scenarios where it will be useful to store a set of arbitrary data in a table using a per-row key/value model, rather than a rigid column/field model. The problem is, I want to store the values with their correct data type rather than converting everything to a string. This means I have to choose either a single table with multiple nullable columns, one for each data type, or a set of value tables, one for each data type. I'm also unsure as to whether I should use full third normal form and separate the keys into a separate table, referencing them via a foreign key from the value table(s), or if it would be better to keep things simple and store the string keys in the value table(s) and accept the duplication of strings. Old/bad: This solution makes adding additional values a pain in a fluid environment because the table needs to be modified regularly. • MySQL searching using many 'like' operators: is there a better way?

  I have a page that gets all rows from a table in a database, then displays the rows in an HTML table. That works great, but now I want to implement a 'search' feature. There is a searchbox, and search-terms are separated by a space. I am going to make it search three fields for the search terms, 'make' 'model' and 'type.' These three fields are VARCHAR(30). Currently if I wanted to search using 3 terms (say 'cool' 'abc' and '123') my query would look something like this. SELECT * FROM table WHERE make LIKE '%cool%' OR make LIKE '%abc%' OR make LIKE '%123%' OR model LIKE '%cool%' OR model LIKE '%abc%' OR model LIKE '%123%' OR type LIKE '%cool%' OR type LIKE '%abc%' OR type LIKE '%123%' That looks really bad, and it will get even worse if there are more search terms or more fields to search. My question to you: is there a better way to search? If so, what?

• how to focus the next cell, if the cell value=1 or 0 in flexgrid in vb.net?

  Dear sir's & madam. im using flexgrid in my project,it contains 6 colums,if the first column value is 1 then automatically focus ill move on the sixth column.help me anybody.. (im used in flex grid payment id,payment type,bank name,bank code,reffrence code,referance no,amount. the payment type is like cash or credit or cheque,suppose when i place the value in payment type is cash then the next focus is go to amount)

• What is the best file format to parse?

  Scenario: I'm working on a rails app that will take data entry in the form of uploaded text-based files. I need to parse these files before importing the data. I can choose the file type uploaded to the app; the software used by those uploading has several export options regarding file type. While it may be insignificant, I was wondering if there is a specific file type that is most efficiently parsed. This question can be viewed as language-independent, I believe. (While XML is commonly parsed, it is not a feasible file type for sake of this project.)
