• wmi not available for some time after reboot

  I'm having the problem with the WMI availability on logon. • Help to solve "Robbery Problem"

  Hello, Can anybody help me with this problem in C or Java? The problem is taken from here: http://acm.pku.edu.cn/JudgeOnline/problem?id=1104 Inspector Robstop is very angry. Last night, a bank has been robbed and the robber has not been caught. And this happened already for the third time this year, even though he did everything in his power to stop the robber: as quickly as possible, all roads leading out of the city were blocked, making it impossible for the robber to escape. Then, the inspector asked all the people in the city to watch out for the robber, but the only messages he got were of the form "We don't see him." But this time, he has had enough! Inspector Robstop decides to analyze how the robber could have escaped. To do that, he asks you to write a program which takes all the information the inspector could get about the robber in order to find out where the robber has been at which time. Coincidentally, the city in which the bank was robbed has a rectangular shape. The roads leaving the city are blocked for a certain period of time t, and during that time, several observations of the form "The robber isn't in the rectangle Ri at time ti" are reported. Assuming that the robber can move at most one unit per time step, your program must try to find the exact position of the robber at each time step. Input The input contains the description of several robberies. The first line of each description consists of three numbers W, H, t (1 <= W,H,t <= 100) where W is the width, H the height of the city and t is the time during which the city is locked. The next contains a single integer n (0 <= n <= 100), the number of messages the inspector received. The next n lines (one for each of the messages) consist of five integers ti, Li, Ti, Ri, Bi each. The integer ti is the time at which the observation has been made (1 <= ti <= t), and Li, Ti, Ri, Bi are the left, top, right and bottom respectively of the (rectangular) area which has been observed. (1 <= Li <= Ri <= W, 1 <= Ti <= Bi <= H; the point (1, 1) is the upper left hand corner, and (W, H) is the lower right hand corner of the city.) The messages mean that the robber was not in the given rectangle at time ti. The input is terminated by a test case starting with W = H = t = 0. This case should not be processed. Output For each robbery, first output the line "Robbery #k:", where k is the number of the robbery. Then, there are three possibilities: If it is impossible that the robber is still in the city considering the messages, output the line "The robber has escaped." In all other cases, assume that the robber really is in the city. Output one line of the form "Time step : The robber has been at x,y." for each time step, in which the exact location can be deduced. (x and y are the column resp. row of the robber in time step .) Output these lines ordered by time . If nothing can be deduced, output the line "Nothing known." and hope that the inspector will not get even more angry. Output a blank line after each processed case.

• Python - help on custom wx.Python (pyDev) class

  I have been hitting a dead end with this program. I am trying to build a class that will let me control the BIP's of a button when it is in use. so far this is what i have (see following.) It keeps running this weird error TypeError: 'module' object is not callable - I, coming from C++ and C# (for some reason the #include... is so much easier) , have no idea what that means, Google is of no help so... I know I need some real help with sintax and such - anything woudl be helpful. • Strange intermittent SQL connection error, fixes on reboot, comes back after 3-5 days (ASP.NET)

  For some reason every 3-5 days our web app loses the ability to open a connection to the db with the following error, the strange thing is that all we have to do is reboot the container (it is a VPS) and it is restored to normal functionality. Then a few days later or so it happens again. Has anyone ever had such a problem? I have noticed a lot of ANONYMOUS LOGONs in the security log in the middle of the night from our AD server which is strange, and also some from an IP in Amsterdam. I am not sure how to tell what exactly they mean or if it is related or not. Server Error in '/ntsb' Application.   I've been wondering why when I set the settings.py of my django project 'arvindemo' debug = Flase and deploy it on Apache with mod_wsgi, I got the 500 Internal Server Error. • php/dos : How do you parse a regedit export file?

  My objective is to look for Company key-value in the registry hive and then pull the corresponding Guid and other keys and values following it. So I figured i would run the regedit export command and then parse the file with php for the keys I need. So after running the dos batch command >regedit /E "output.txt" "HKLM\System....\Company1" The output textfile seems to be in some kind of UNICODE format which isn't regex friendly. I'm using php to parse the file and pull the keys. • SIFR 3.0 - Font Size

  I have been working with SIFR 3.0 for some time now and the font-size never seems to work correctly. I understand the most basic concepts behind SIFR. SIFR runs when you load the page. It does some calculations one the size of the HTML rendered font and then replaces it with a flash movie that is roughly equal to that size. Because of this, you want to style your HTML font to match the size of your SIFR font as close as possible. My problem always comes up when trying to style these two font sizes to match. Let's say I want to use a SIFR font of Helvetica Neue Lt at about 32px. The HTML equivalent is something like Arial Narrow at about 36px with some negative letter spacing. So here is what I do. In sifr.css I'll write: @media screen { .sIFR-active h1 { visibility: hidden; z-index: 0 !important; font-size: 36px; } } Great, that gets the default HTML font the size I need. Now I need to update the flash SIFR font size. So I go into sifr-config.js and write something like this: sIFR.replace(HelveticaNeueThinCond, { selector: 'h1', css: '.sIFR-root { color: #762123; font-size: 32px; line-height: 1em; }', transparent: true }); So right now everything is working great. That is until my h1 text wraps more than one line. For some reason, when the text wraps it only shows the first line. It seems calculates the height wrong. This is very weird because I ran some tests. I took "visibility: hidden" off of "sIFR-active h1" to make sure that the HTML rendered text was the right size. It is, it takes up two lines. However, when the Flash replaces this text it gives it a min-height of one line of text. Odd. The only way I could find to fix this wrapping problem was to remove "font-size: 32px;" from "sIFR.replace(HelveticaNeueThinCond" in sifr-config. The problem I run into then is that it inherits the font-size set in sifr.css. Now the problem is that my HTML text is bigger then the SIFR text. So occasional my HTML text will wrap to a new line before my SIFR text leaving a big white space. So, how do I set two different font-size (one for my HTML text and one for my SIFR) without losing the wrapping. The only time I have been able to use the successfully is when I have a SIFR font that is so similar to a web safe font that they can share the same font-size attribute. Thanks

• Python: How to read huge text file into memory

  I'm using Python 2.6 on a Mac Mini with 1GB RAM. I want to read in the whole file and sort it according to the second column. I know, that I could do the sorting without reading the whole file into memory. But I thought for a file of 500MB I should still be able to do it in memory since I have 1GB available. However when I try to read in the file, Python seems to allocate a lot more memory than is needed by the file on disk. So even with 1GB of RAM I'm not able to read in the 500MB file into memory. If I change AWK to GAWK and run the original script here is the output: gawk: cmd. line:11: print $1,$2, $g[i] > "output_"f[i]".csv gawk: cmd. line:11: ^ unterminated string So I edit the relevant line to fix the unterminated string print $1,$2, $g[i] > "output_"f[i]".csv" Then it runs through fine produces no errors, but there is no output files. • PHP5.3 is not working with MySQL5.1 IIS7 Times out

  I have set up PHP5.3, MySQL5.1, and IIS7 on Window 7 but php doesn't want to work with MySQL. I'm assuming it is a configuration error or an incomplete install on my part. MySQL5.1 is working PHP5.3 is working, phpinfo() shows info and that i have enabled MySQL IIS is setup and using fastCgiModule to run PHP IIS registers php.ini updates port 3306 is firewall free and open to the world php.ini is configured correctly I have added c:\php to the Windows systems PATH In the past I remember moving a file, libmysql.dll, to System32 but I doesn't look like that come with php5.3.1, as the driver comes built in now http://us3.php.net/manual/en/mysqlnd.install.php. (This has been giving me so much trouble I have been documenting my findings on my blog as http://inteldesigner.com/2010/code/having-problems-getting-php5-3-to-work-with-mysql5-1 ) NEED: I need to install PHP manually, don't want to use the quick installer or an older version I need to get PHP5.3 to work with MySQL5.1 so i can install Wordpress2.9 and Drupal7a Any links or suggestion would be great, I have already done everything on the iis web site, nothing is working. I have been mostly working with the generated classes so I'm not entirely familiar with the process that generates these classes. A simple example of the "property customization" would be great! Alternative method of generating the Java classes would be fine as long as the schema can still be used.

If I change AWK to GAWK and run the original script here is the output: gawk: cmd. line:11: print $1,$2, $g[i] > "output_"f[i]".csv gawk: cmd. line:11: ^ unterminated string So I edit the relevant line to fix the unterminated string print $1,$2, $g[i] > "output_"f[i]".csv" Then it runs through fine produces no errors, but there is no output files. • Why does Git.pm on cygwin complain about 'Out of memory during "large" request?

  Hi, I'm getting this error while doing a git svn rebase in cygwin Out of memory during "large" request for 268439552 bytes, total sbrk() is 140652544 bytes at /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/Git.pm line 898, <GEN1> line 3. 268439552 is 256MB. Cygwin's maxium memory size is set to 1024MB so I'm guessing that it has a different maximum memory size for perl?   You are a super-hero in the year 2222 and you are faced with this great challenge: starting from your home planet Ilop you must try to reach Acinhet or else your planet will be destroyed by evil green little monsters. To do this you are given a map of the universe: there are N planets and M inter-planetary connections ( bidirectional ) that bind these planets. Each connection requires a certain time and a certain amount of fuel in order for you to cover the connection from one planet to another. The total time spent going from one planet to another is obtained by multiplying the time past to cover each connection between all the planets you go through. There are some "key planets", that allow you to refuel if you arrive on those certain "key planets". A "key planet" is the planet with the property that if it disappears the road between at least two planets would be lost.(In the example posted below with the input/output files such a "key planet" is 2 because without it the road to 7 would be lost) When you start your mission you are given the possibility of choosing between K ships each with its own maximum fuel capacity. The goal is to find the SHORTEST TIME CONSUMING path but also choose the ship with the minimum fuel capacity that can cover that shortest path(this means that if more ships can cover the shortest path you choose the one with the minimum fuel capacity). Because the minimum time can be a rather large number (over long long int) you are asked to provide only the last 6 digits of the number.
