  • Windows authentication skip for one folder and allow local domain's user

    I have intranet application with windows authentication on it. Annonymous users are not allowed. Now i am trying to add one subfolder which should be allowed to local domain users too. I enabled "annonymous access" iis on that subfolder and that worked. but i am using AJAX(timer control) on one of page of that subfolder and when timer_ticks it gives "sys is undefined error". any idea to solve this issue?     Hi all, I have a 512 kb/s DSL service at home. I do not have a static IP but I can get one if I pay some extra to my ISP. Now, if I get the static IP, can I make my home box act as my internet host? What else do I need? Thanks P.S.   • Capture virtual machine traffic in Fiddler

    I'm running Ubuntu in a virtual machine (host machine is Windows 7). Is it possible to use Fiddler in the host machine to capture the traffic from the virtual machine? Seeing as the virtual machine's network must be passing through the host computers NIC, can Fiddler capture the packets? (I don't know of any free alternative to Fiddler for Linux, except Tamper Data, but I need a bit more control). Thanks.

    I am looking for a way to move all files and subfolders within a given directory to somewhere else and after the movement delete the original folder. For example, suppose in current path, there is a folder called FOLDERA, I am trying to move all files and subfolders from FOLDERA to the current path and then remove FOLDERA, but I need to do this with a command line. I try MOVE command but I find that it can only move the files. Anyway to do that? Thanks.

    Is there a possibility to store nginx locations in DB instead of the config to serve them dynamically? The task is to create dynamic URLs for video files based on user's IP and video ID. The idea is when the user visits my website such an dynamic URL is created and added to the db as a new nginx location that exists just for this user and not for others. Or nginx doesn't fit my task and I need to use another tool? Thanks.

I have a collection of zip files in a folder in my home directory (~/zip_files) which I would like to be able to link to through apache, such that when somebody who visits my website which I'm using Apache to host clicks a link to one of the zip files, he can download it through the web.     I have a system account with which I run a database (namely mongodb). By default it has no home. Now I'd like to trigger scp commands from that account, with ssh keys authentication to a remote server, to export backups. Should I just create a /home/mongodb and /home/mongodb/.ssh folders manually to store the SSH keys, like the default for regular users ? Is it still considered a system account after that ? Thanks!

    I have two servers that I have been able to connect fine as s1.website.com and s2.website.com I connected to s1.website.com earlier today without any issues, however, when I connected to s2.website.com it gave me the "Server Unexpectedly Closed Network Connection" I have researched this elsewhere and someone concluded it to a "brute force attempt" However, I know this is not the case.     We are running NGINX 7.65 on a Ubuntu 10 server. NGINX is setup as a reverse proxy to an IIS website where the viewstate is passed through the headers. We want to set up the cache feature in NGINX but need to make sure it does not mess up the viewstate and cookies associated with each individual customer.     If someone knows a software with these features: Works from the tray area Very lightweight Works also in Windows XP (preferably workstation, nothing serverish required) Can show a bandwidth usage graph, where I can easily see each PC's usage I can inspect a computer's connections, find out the ports and applications that are using them (eg, all bandwidth is consumed by PC #3, that's running uTorrent.exe from port 33003) ...I'd happily check it out.
