• VS 2010 breaks my keydown events

  I have a custom control, a groupbox, which reacts on key events on a assigned key. It is possible to remove this groupbox, as well as adding more dynamically. Havnt been any trouble in VS 2008 so far. Two days ago i installed VS 2010. And i started to get multiple event fireing, and removing a groupbox did not remove the specific key events attached to it. Where did it go wrong? I use -= on the events present in the gruopbox code to remove them before removing the groupbox.

• RSA Encrypt in PHP to decrypt in .NET

  In PHP I am RSA encrypting a message to be decrypted by .NET application... but I keep getting a "Bad Key" exception from .NET.... For RSA encryption, I am using PEAR class Crypt_RSA- encrypting with the public key (which is a modulus, exponent pair) I get from working encryption system in .NET... I guess the easiest question would be- does "Bad Key" mean it is not able to decrypt the message whatsoever? IE, it is not encrypted correctly? The harder question is- Is there anything specific about RSA encryption that causes quirks between .NET and PHP?

  Lets assume I have two tables Table tA ID ID2 SomeColumns Table tB ID ID2 SomeOtherColumns I am looking to create a Object let's call it ObjectA (based on tA), that will have a one-to-many relationship to ObjectB (based on tB). In my example however, I need to use the combination of ID and ID2 as the foreign key. If I was writing SQL it would look like this: select tB.* from tA, tB where tA.ID = tB.ID and tA.ID2 = tB.ID2; I know that for each ID/ID2 combination in tA I should have many rows in tB, therefor I know it's a one-to-many combination.   Basically I've got the below schema and I'm inserting records if they don't exists. However when it comes to inserting a duplicate it throws and error as I would expect. My question is whether there is an easy way to make Hibernate to just ignore inserts which would in effect insert duplicates?   I use MacBookPro8,2. First of all I installed MacOS, then WIn7 on sde4, then Ubuntu on sde5 and swop on sde5. After installing ubuntu win7 isn't loaded when I choose it in grub. Win boot writes the following message: file: \boot\BCD Status: 0xc0000225 An error occurred while attempting to load the boot configuration data What shall I do? Try to repair windows using CD(in this case I think I will damage grub) or I can somehow configure grub to make it work properly?

  I am trying to switch a table from being a many-to-one mapping to being many-to-many with an intermediate mapping table. However, when I switched it over and tried to do a query on it with NHibernate, it's giving me this error: "Interceptor.OnPrepareStatement(SqlString) returned null or empty SqlString." My query was originally something more complex, but I switched it to a basic fetch all and I'm still having the problem: Session.QueryOver<T>().Future(); It would seem to either be a problem in my model mapping files or something in my database. • How to use ctrl-i for an emacs shortcut without breaking tabs

  I want to redefine the emacs keyboard shortcut control-i to be "MOVE CURSOR UP" To do this, I added the following line to my .emacs file: (global-set-key (kbd "C-i") 'previous-line) What I then discovered is that the tab key, by default, does whatever is bound to control-i, which is obviously not what I want. So, to restore normal tab behavior, I added this to my .emacs file (global-set-key (kbd "<tab>") 'indent-for-tab-command) This mostly works. BUT, tab no longer works for auto-completing commands in the mini buffer. How can I fix that? Or is there a better way of going about this? Thanks.

I am currently avoiding host-key warnings using StrictHostKeyChecking no. I naively understand that someone can impersonate as the server and I risk losing my password to him if that were the case. However, if I am using only public/private Key based authentication ( using PasswordAuthentication no ), can the intruder still cause harm? So basically, with ssh -o "StrictHostKeyChecking no" -o "PasswordAuthentication no" : 1) Can the intruder decipher my private key? 2) Are there any other security threats? regards, JP

  My goal is to get a weighted average from one table, based on another tables primary key. Example Data: Table1 Key WEIGHTED_AVERAGE 0200 0 Table2 ForeignKey LENGTH PCR 0200 105 52 0200 105 60 0200 105 54 0200 105 -1 0200 47 55 I need to get a weighted average based on the length of a segment and I need to ignore values of -1. I know how to do this in SQL, but my goal is to do this in LINQ. It looks something like this in SQL: SELECT Sum(t2.PCR*t2.LENGTH)/Sum(t2.LENGTH) AS WEIGHTED_AVERAGE FROM Table1 t1, Table2 t2 WHERE t2.PCR <> -1 AND t2.ForeinKey = t1.Key; I am still pretty new to LINQ, and having a hard time figuring out how I would translate this. The result weighted average should come out to roughly 55.3. Thank you.

  I have data in 2 tables, and I want to create a report. Table A: tableAID (primary key) name Table B: tableBID (primary key) grade tableAID (foreign key, references Table A) There is much more to both tables, but those are the relevant columns. The query I want to run, conceptually, is this: select TableA.name, avg(TableB.grade) where TableB.tableAID = TableA.tableAID The problem of course is that I'm using an aggregate function (avg), and I can rewrite it like this: select avg(grade), tableAID from TableB group by tableAID but then I only get the ID of TableA, whereas I really need that name column which appears in TableA, not just the ID. Is it possible to write a query to do this in one statement, or would I first need to execute the second query I listed, get the list of id's, then query each record in TableA for the name column... seems to me I'm missing something obvious here, but I'm (quite obviously) not an sql guru...

  I am trying to call ssh-keygen using a variable through bash as an input instead of a file to get a fingerprint of a public key. This method does not work as it says the key file is invalid (it's correct for sure) echo $pubkey | ssh-keygen -lf /dev/stdin This does work ssh-keygen -lf /dev/stdin < alpha.pub This does not work because I get an ambiguous redirect ssh-keygen -lf /dev/stdin < $(echo $pubkey) I would appreciate some insight as to how to get ssh-keygen to read from a variable with a public key and if possible, an explanation as to why the redirects aren't doing what I think they should be doing. I searched online but many of the redirect tutorials didn't seem to answer my questions.

  What if you could work on anything you wanted? Redgate is doing an experiment of sorts this week.  Called Down Tools Week.    The idea is that they stopped working on their regular projects for a week and strike out on something that catches their attention and drives their passion. Evidently in many cases, these projects have turned out to be new features in their existing products that individual were interested in, some were internal iniatives and some where evidently off the wall new ideas.   Today is show and tell where they will share with each other what they have been working on. There may well be some interesting announcements coming out of this.    The prospects are exciting. I understand that Google does something similar allowing their employees a specified amount of time to work on projects of their own choosing.    This has been the breeding ground for some of my favorite services. It is a shame that more companies do not follow such practices.   Now I know that most companies cannot afford to shut down everything for a week and sometimes you can't really explore an interesting idea in 8 hours a week or however much time Google allocates, but still it may be worth while. What would happen if your company gave you as an individual 1 week each quarter to work on a project of your own design and see what happens?   I would be happen if you still had to get approval for before your week long adventure. Personally, I think that this could be a very effective use of training budgets.   Give me a week to research something on my own and you would be amazed at what I can find out.    Maybe this should be the prerequisite before starting a new project.   Stagger the team onboarding but have everyone spend a week long sabbatical studying BizTalk before starting a project that will hinge on BizTalk. The show and tell afterwards is a great way to keep everyone honest or at least reassure management that everyone is honest.    If your goal was to spend a week researching and exploring a new technology and you had to do a show and tell afterwards to show off what you had learned, then everyone can learn a bit of what you just learned.     Sounds like a promising win win for me. Maybe it is a pipe dream, but what if .... What would you work on if given the opportunity to work on anything you wanted?

• Identity column SQL Server 2005 inserting same value twice

  I have a stored procedure that inserts into a table (where there is an identity column that is not the primary key- the PK is inserted initially using the date/time to generate a unique value). We then use SCOPEIDENTITY() to get the value inserted, then there is some logic to generate the primary key field value based on this value, which is then updated back to the table. In some situations the stored procedure is called simultaneously by more than one process, resulting in "Violation of PRIMARY KEY constraint..." errors. This would seem to indicate that the identity column is allowing the same number to be inserted for more than one record. First question- how is this possible? Second question- how to stop it...there's no error handling currently so I'm going to add some try/ catch logic- but would like to understand the problem fully to deal with properly

Create a key called FacebookDisplayName with a string value, and add the Display Name you configured in the App Dashboard. Create an array key called URL types with a single array sub-item called URL Schemes. Give this a single item with your app ID prefixed with fb. This is used to ensure the application will receive the callback URL of the web-based OAuth flow. The finished .plist should look something like this: My question is where to put these values?   I have a three level database with the following structure (simplified to only show the primary keys): Table A: a_id Table B: a_id, b_id Table C: a_id, b_id, c_id So possible values for table C would be something like this: a_id b_id c_id 1 1 1 1 1 2 1 1 3 1 2 1 1 2 2 2 1 1 2 2 1 2 2 2 ... I am now unsure, how foreign keys should be set; or if they should be set for the primary keys at all. My idea was to have a foreign key on table B B.a_id -> A.a_id, and two foreign key on C C.a_id -> A.a_id and ( C.a_id, C.b_id ) -> ( B.a_id, B.b_id ). Is that the way I should set up the foreign keys? Is the foreign key from C->A necessary? Or do I even need foreign keys at all given that all those columns are part of the primary keys? Thanks.

Here are the things I usually did. 1) Store the user name in cookie. The user name are not encrypted. 2) Store a secret key in cookie. The secret key is generated using one way function based on user name.
