Let's say I have an user table in declarative mode: class User(Base): __tablename__ = 'user' id = Column(u'id', Integer(), primary_key=True) name = Column(u'name', String(50)) When I know user's id without object loaded into session, I update such user like this: ex = update(User.__table__).where(User.id==123).values(name=u"Bob Marley") Session.execute(ex) I dislike using User.__table__, should I stop worrying with that? • How can I connect to MSMQ over a workgroup?

  I'm writing a simple console client-server app using MSMQ. I'm attempting to run it over the workgroup we have set up. They run just fine when run on the same computer, but I can't get them to connect over the network. I've tried adding Direct=, OS:, and a bunch of combinations of other prefaces, but I'm running out of ideas, and obviously don't know the right way to do it. My queue's don't have GUIDs, which is also slightly confusing. Whenever I attempt to connect to a remote machine, I get an invalid queue name message. What do I have to do to make this work?   Hello, I have this loop written in C++, that compiled with MSVC2010 takes a long time to run. Same thing happens when I try a different approach for the socket creation. If I use: socket = new Socket(); socket.setSoTimeout(500); socket.connect(new InetSocketAddress(address, port), 1000); I have the same problem but with the SocketTimeoutException instead. I get a java.net.SocketTimeoutException: Read timed out if port was open but there was no banner to be read and java.net.SocketTimeoutException: connect timed out if server is not live or port is closed.   Apologies if my terminology is off, I'm new to C#. I'm trying to use an ApplicationContext file to store mysql conn values, like dbname, username, password. The class with mysql conn string is "using" the namespace for the ApplicationContext, but when I print out the connection string, the values are making it. A friend said, "I'm not initializing it" but couldn't stay to expand on what "it" was. and the "Console.WriteLine("1");" in ApplicationContext.cs never shows up. Do I need to create an ApplicationContext object and the call Initialize() on that object? Thanks for any help. • SwingWorker exceptions lost even when using wrapper classes

  I've been struggling with the usability problem of SwingWorker eating any exceptions thrown in the background task, for example, described on this SO thread. That thread gives a nice description of the problem, but doesn't discuss recovering the original exception. The applet I've been handed needs to propagate the exception upwards. But I haven't been able to even catch it. I'm using the SimpleSwingWorker wrapper class from this blog entry specifically to try and address this issue. It's a fairly small class but I'll repost it at the end here just for reference. Thank you for the help so far :) Edit 3 So it turns out that installing the ca-certificates package didn't install the one that I needed. I found this post about certificates being presented out of order. This seems to be the case with my request to sagepay. The solution ended up being to install another CA certificate from Verisign. I'm not sure why this fixes the issue with it being out of order but it does, but I suspect the out of order issue really isn't a problem at all and it was infact because I was missing a certificate all along. The additional certificate is available in that post but I didn't want to blindly trust it. I've looked at the list of CA certificates from cURL's site and it is listed there so I do trust it.
