• onbeforeunload dilemma: iframe breaking vs. annoying message on refresh/back buttons click

  I'm implementing a search service called SearchInsideOut. http://bit.ly/97SFyW This search service simply replaces web page results by full web pages (Yes, I used iframe). The problem I have to deal with is iframe-breaking pages. The promising solution I found is using onbeforeunload to let users decide whether to stay or leave my site. But this also creates another annoying behavior. When users click other links in my site, onbeforeunload will also be triggered. Fortunately, I could solve this case by placing window.onbeforeunload=null in the onclick event of those links of my site. Unfortunately, I have no idea how to detect external events like clicking "refresh/back" buttons. What should I do to solve this difficulty? All suggestions and comments are highly appreciated.

  An almost clean install of Ubuntu 13.10 keeps hiding the power button. I noticed before that my clock and power button were missing in the right top corner. I rebooted my system and they were back. Now I see my power button only is missing. How do I go about fixing this? I can't keep rebooting, can I? The latest thing I did was removing Ubuntu One: Removing Ubuntu One I don't think I did something that might've tinkered with these settings though.

  There have been a few questions like this asked before but not in the same way. I want to put a Facebook Like or Share or Recommend button on all of my website pages. The site is somewhat like Yelp but for different topics. I am wondering which button to put there. Does it do any good to have individual pages "liked" and does it show anywhere besides on that page? I basically just want people to be able to click a button and have the page show up on their wall and their friend's feeds and I am not sure what the best plugin for that is.

• Change the output of the facebook like button [migrated]

  I've tied in the code for the facebook like button from the facebook dev site (I currently use the iframe version) directly into the html of a node (or content post). I want to be able to manipulate what text is sent when someone hits the like button. you can see the site and buttons here www.masteringmoneybasics.org I've tried both the iframe and html5 versions of the button and can't see where to alter what is sent. If there is no way to directly alter what is sent, does anyone know what it looks for in content to be sent so I can structure the node correctly? If you notice, when you like the page, it doesn't get the first sentence of the content, but all content after it, and I've tried putting different content in between the two lines (in its own <p>) and it still grabs the latter. Also how it figures out which image to grab from the page? Most times it doesn't take any image, however twice it's grabbed the middle school image.

In Outlook 2010 I have to click Accept, then click "Send the response now", which is completely useless - what else do I need to say other than "yes, I'll be there"? How do I restore the old behaviour so that a I can accept with a single click? (Declining is different, of course - I might want to edit the message then.)

  To open the LOV popup of an af:inputListOfValues component in ADF Faces, you either click the magnifier icon to the right of the input field or tab onto the icon and press the Enter key. If you want to open the same dialog in response to a user double click into the LOV input field, JavaScript is a friend. For this solution, I assume you created an editable table or input form that is based on a View Object that contains at least one attribute that has a model driven list of values defined. The Default List Type is should be set to Input Text with List of Values so that when the form or table gets created, the attribute is rendered by the af:inputListOfValues component. To implement the use case, drag a Client Listener component from the Operations accordion in the Component Palette and drop it onto the af:inputListOfValues component in the page. In the opened Insert Client Listener dialog, define the Method as handleLovOnDblclickand choose dblClick in the select list for the Type attribute.   I have an application (Star Trek Bridge Commander) which runs fine on Wine when I navigate to its directory and 'open with - Wine Windows Program Loader' from the right click menu. Unfortunately, it quits with a runtime error if I try to use 'wine (path)' or 'wine start (path)' in the terminal. After logout and login, right click on desktop is not working in gnome and unity but working in file manger.When I login into Pantheon session, I don't find an option to open Home folder and my login display manager theme is also changed.I want to get back to default Ubuntu login theme.Can i change the login theme with simple-lightdm manager.   Just did a fresh install of Precise Pangolin on my laptop and noticed that the middle-click (actually three finger-tap on the touchpad) on Firefox doesn't work as it used to. When doing it on a link it doesn't get opened on a new tab, in fact, it doesn't get opened at all. Only the (useless) window size and position controls appear, as demonstrated on terminal in the following screen shot. How do I get my tab-opening middle-clicks back?

  Hi, I don't know exactly how to explain this problem, but I'll try. I have a ListView with several items. Each item has inside a TextView and two ImageView. I want the ImageView change when I click on them, and I want to open a context menu when I press for a long time into the ListView item. For the ImageView, everything works properly. For the whole item, I can show the context menu after a long press, but my problem is that the ImageView changes as well when I am pressing the TextView, for example. • How to allow click-through and a cursor in a background app while not taking the active appearance a

  Here are my goals: My application displays an overlay window above all applications' window. The user can draw in the overlay window. The mouse cursor changes to a specific cursor while in the overlay window. The application that has the active appearance before summoning the overlay window still has it while the overlay window is up and usable. The user does not need to click on the overlay window to activate it before they can draw. Drawing in the window does not steal the active appearance away from the application that has it. With LSUIElement, I get #1, #2, #3, and #5. With LSBackgroundOnly, I get #1, #2, #4, and #6. How can I satisify all of these goals without installing an event tap and processing the mouse events myself? Things I've tried: [NSApp preventWindowOrdering] in mouseDown: [NSApp activateIgnoringOtherApps:YES] in applicationWillFinishLaunching: [myWindow orderFront:nil] in applicationWillFinishLaunching: [myWindow makeKeyAndOrderFront:nil] in applicationWillFinishLaunching: [myWindow orderFrontRegardless] in applicationWillFinishLaunching: [myWindow makeMainWindow] in applicationWillFinishLaunching: (this caused failure of point 4 even with LSBackgroundOnly) SetThemeCursor in applicationWillFinishLaunching: (With LSUIElement) Implementing canBecomeMainWindow in my NSPanel subclass to return NO Except where otherwise noted, none of these made any difference.
