  • Why is Firefox changing the color calibration of this image?

    - by eoinoc
The symptom of my problem is that the same hex color in a PNG image does not match the CSS-defined color defined by the same hex code. This problem only happens in Firefox when gfx.color_management.mode is set to 2 (tagged images only) rather than 0 (off). (Firefox ICC color correction described here). The image is http://dzfk93w6juz0e.cloudfront.net/images/background-top-light.png which at the bottom has the color #c8e8bd. However, the shade of green is different to that color when Firefox color calibration is enabled. Is this image inadvertently "tagged" for color correction?

  • What is the correct way to reset and load new data into GL_ARRAY_BUFFER?

    - by Geto
I am using an array buffer for colors data. If I want to load different colors for the current mesh in real time what is the correct way to do it. At the moment I am doing: glBindVertexArray(vao); glBindBuffer(GL_ARRAY_BUFFER, colorBuffer); glBufferData(GL_ARRAY_BUFFER, SIZE, colorsData, GL_STATIC_DRAW); glEnableVertexAttribArray(shader->attrib("color")); glVertexAttribPointer(shader->attrib("color"), 3, GL_FLOAT, GL_TRUE, 0, NULL); glBindBuffer(GL_ARRAY_BUFFER, 0); It works, but I am not sure if this is good and efficient way to do it. What happens to the previous data ? Does it write on top of it ? Do I need to call : glDeleteBuffers(1, colorBuffer); glGenBuffers(1, colorBuffer); before transfering the new data into the buffer ?

  • Libgdx change color of Texture at runtime [on hold]

    - by Springrbua
i allready asked this on Stackoverflow, but i think this question may belong here. In a Libgdx game i have some Animations for my Player. All the Frames for this Animation are inside a TextureAtlas. The Player Textures show a human, with a white T-Shirt. The T-Shirt is the only white part of the Player. Now i want to be able to replace the white color with red for Player1, with green for Player2 and so on. How can i do that, without loosing the advantage of the TextureAtlas (Texture switching)? Ofc 1 way would be to store 4 versions of every Frame, for 4 different Players (colors). But there are games out there, where you can fully customize the Player, give him a blue hat, red pants and pink shirts and so on. How can this be done? Thanks a lot! EDIT: The question on Stackoverflow

  • Is IronScheme complete enough or stable enough to be worth learning?

    - by World Engineer
IronScheme is mentioned on Wikipedia as a successor to a failed project called IronLisp, bringing Lisp to CLR and .NET, the way Clojure does for the JVM. Does anyone have experience with this language? It looks fairly complete (99%) but I'm not sure how to judge whether it's worth my time to fiddle with getting it set up or not. By stable or complete, I mean using it for actual projects rather than just fiddling with tools and Project Euler style problems.

  • How to effectively color pixels in a BufferedImage?

    - by Ed Taylor
    I'm using the following pice of code to iterate over all pixels in an image and draw a red 1x1 square over the pixels that are within a certain RGB-tolerance. I guess there is a more efficient way to do this? Any ideas appreciated. (bi is a BufferedImage and g2 is a Graphics2D with its color set to Color.RED). Color targetColor = new Color(selectedRGB); for (int x = 0; x < bi.getWidth(); x++) { for (int y = 0; y < bi.getHeight(); y++) { Color pixelColor = new Color(bi.getRGB(x, y)); if (withinTolerance(pixelColor, targetColor)) { g2.drawRect(x, y, 1, 1); } } } private boolean withinTolerance(Color pixelColor, Color targetColor) { int pixelRed = pixelColor.getRed(); int pixelGreen = pixelColor.getGreen(); int pixelBlue = pixelColor.getBlue(); int targetRed = targetColor.getRed(); int targetGreen = targetColor.getGreen(); int targetBlue = targetColor.getBlue(); return (((pixelRed >= targetRed - tolRed) && (pixelRed <= targetRed + tolRed)) && ((pixelGreen >= targetGreen - tolGreen) && (pixelGreen <= targetGreen + tolGreen)) && ((pixelBlue >= targetBlue - tolBlue) && (pixelBlue <= targetBlue + tolBlue))); }

  • Getting a table cell to become a different color on mouseover

    - by Andrei Korchagin
Currently, when I create a table, and I mouseover a cell, that entire row is highlighted. I'm trying to make it so that it is only the immediate cell. Here's all the CSS code that pertains to tables in my stylesheet: table{margin:.5em 0 1em;} table td,table th{text-align:center;border-right:1px solid #fff;padding:.4em .8em;} table th{background-color:#5e5e5e;color:#fff;text-transform:uppercase;font-weight:bold;border- bottom:1px solid #e8e1c8;} table td{background-color:#eee;} table th a{color:#d6f325;} table th a:hover{color:#fff;} table tr.even td{background-color:#ddd;} table tr:hover td{background-color:#fff;} table.nostyle td,table.nostyle th,table.nostyle tr.even td,table.nostyle tr:hover td{border:0;background:none;background-color:transparent;} I know it's probably a simple fix but I can't find where to make it work. Everything I try just kills the mouseover effect entirely rather than making it the way I want it. Thanks in advance!

  • [JavaScript-CSS-Firefox] Cannot change borderColor of TD

    - by Tadeus Prastowo
Using JS to set the background color of a TD is fine. But, setting the border color is problematic in FF 3.0.18 although IE 6 doesn't experience this. FF is problematic in that it requires the TD element to have an attribute style initialized to border-style: solid. Without that, setting border color of a TD won't work. Is this known bug? How do I set the border color without having to set style attribute as well as the initialization value? I know another trick of setting the class attribute instead of setting the border color directly. Is this an indication that somehow TD hates having its border color set dynamically? Is this known as well? The problematic code is below (the goal is find out why setting the border color of simple truth 1 does not work while simple truth 3 works when I employ the trick described above): <html> <head> <title>Quirks FF 3.0.18</title> <style type="text/css"> table { border-collapse: collapse; } </style> <script type="text/javascript"> function changeBgColor() { document.getElementById('simple').style.backgroundColor='yellow'; document.getElementById('simple2').style.backgroundColor='yellow'; document.getElementById('simple3').style.backgroundColor='yellow'; } function quirk(id) { var x = document.getElementById(id); x.style.border = '2px solid red'; } </script> </head> <body> <input type="button" onclick="changeBgColor()" value="Change background color"/> <input type="button" onclick="quirk('simple')" value="Change border color 1"/> <input type="button" onclick="quirk('simple2')" value="Change border color 2"/> <input type="button" onclick="quirk('simple3')" value="Change border color 3"/> <table> <tr><td id="simple">Simple truth 1</td></tr> </table> <table> <tr><td><span id="simple2">Simple truth 2</span></td></tr> <table> <tr><td id="simple3" style="border-style: solid">Simple truth 3</td></tr> </table> </body> </html>

  • How do I set the text color of a Cocoa tooltip?

    - by Adam Preble
I am using BGHUDAppKit for an outline view within a HUD-style (black) NSPanel. As such the text in my outline view cells is light gray or white. Unfortunately this means that when I hover to bring up a tooltip for a cell's value, it shows up as light gray text on yellow, which is illegible. How can I set the text color for the tooltip, or is there a way that I can modify the control itself (without changing its appearance) to work better with the tooltip mechanism?

  • How to color highlight text in a black/white document easily

    - by Lateron
I am editing a 96 chapter book. The text is in normal black letters on a white background. What I want to be able to do is: I want to have any changes or additions automatically shown in another (per-selected) color. Without having to a)high lite a word or phrase to be changed or added and then b)going to the toolbar and clicking on the font color In other words I want the original color of the text to remain as it is and any additions or changes to be visible in another color without having to use the toolbar. Can this be done? I use OpenOffice or Word 2007 in Windows 7.

  • Photoshop changes colors when moved to a different monitor

    - by Jason
This Yahoo! answers question pretty much sums up my predicament. Unfortunately I haven't really found an actual answer. Here's a screen shot of what happens when I place Photoshop between my monitors. Imagine that the left side of my laptop is the right square and the yellow is the right side of my monitor. When I move the program to one side fully or the other, it takes on the corresponding color. Obviously the color on the right is correct and Photoshop is changing the color of the image when it moves to my external monitor. Also notice how none of the tools or anything are different colors, just the actual image itself. How do I fix this? EDIT You may also notice that the color palette in the left corner is showing that yellow tinge. I didn't actually pick that yellow color, it's supposed to be showing the grey on the left that I used to fill in the square.
