• "Access is denied" iFrame IE

  I have an iframe in b.com which attempts to grab the jQuery library from a.com [my website]. Whenever it does this I get the "Access is Denied" error in both IE7 and IE8. I have checked out Fiddler and it doesnt show that the script is getting blocked - but IE does errors with "Access is Denied" What is causing this prob and how to get around it ? Thx

  I've got a piece of tracking code which is capturing REMOTE_HOST, SERVER, REQUEST_METHOD, SCRIPT_NAME and QUERY_STRING. It grabs these from ServerVariables and sticks them in a database by user and IP. What is the best way to pick up the exact contents of what was posted back to a URL in ASP.NET? Is there an HTTP_POST? I'd rather not grab something and then have to parse it.

  I have a client who is wanting to create a link which contains product codes so that his customers hit a page with just those products displayed in an attempt to increase conversion rates from affilliate sites. My question is whats the best way to send these multiple products in a single URL For example: http://www.mydomain.co.uk/bespoke-list.php?catNo=234-324-232-343 Obviously then the site would grab the codes from the string and display them...   I know there's a way to capture a bitmap of a window in Windows without anything that may be obscuring it (e.g. you have a window with a dialog in front, but the dialog is not captured as it would be if you did a simple pixel grab), but I can't remember how to do so. Also I believe this is only possible in Windows Vista and above, with the introduction of the compositing window manager?

• Can I reuse my existing TCP-Server?

  At the moment I have an existing application which basically consists of a desktop GUI and a TCP server. The client connects to the server, and the server notifies the client if something interesting happens. Now I'm supposed to replace the desktop GUI by a web GUI, and I'm wondering if I have to rewrite the server to send http packets instead of tcp packets or if I can somehow use some sort of proxy to grab the tcp packets and forward them to the web client?   So I am in Excel trying to read the last saved metadata from an Access database, but I cannot figure out how on earth to do this. If I use environ$("username") it will give my the last saved information for the excel document where I am coding, not the access db that I want it to grab from. Excel has a built in function for grabbing username data, but I cannot find one for access. How can I do this?! Any help is greatly appreciated!

  Hi Guys, I am building a widget for my users and trying to get it working however I keep running into a X-Domain issue with this header. httpfox gives me - NS_ERROR_DOM_BAD_URI - and on further investigation I find that its Access-Control-Request-Method: GET Access-Control-Request-Header: x-requested-with I am not sure why its not loading but I basically call a script and then I am trying to grab some html to load it but it gets blocked with the above headers. How can I get around this prob ?

Google currently says that I cannot filter on 'votes' because I order by 'date.' I don't see a way that I can do this the way I want to, so I'd appreciate any advice.

The problem is that var data = $( 'textarea.editor' ).val(); returns default content and also getData(). What I have to do to grab the actual content? I'm using the "struct" library to do the broad unpacking, but is there a simple way to say "Grab the next 13 bits" rather than have to hand-tweak the bit manipulation? I'd like something like the way C does bit fields (without having to revert to C). Suggestions?

• jquery-like HTML parsing in Python?

  Is there any Python library that allows me to parse an HTML document similar to what jQuery does? i.e. I'd like to be able to use CSS selector syntax to grab an arbitrary set of nodes from the document, read their content/attributes, etc. The only Python HTML parsing lib I've used before was BeautifulSoup, and even though it's fine I keep thinking it would be faster to do my parsing if I had jQuery syntax available. :D
