    I'm looking for a Firefox setting or extension that can easily toggle between showing and hiding of all images without reloading the page (similar to Opera's feature - the 'Show only cached images' feature is preferable, but optional in my case). I have found an extension that can show/hide images (Image-Show-Hide) but it needs to reload the page to show/hide the images. I prefer that the page not reload when unhiding images from a page previously set to hide all images.

  • Firefox 3.6/4: modify/ tweak spell-check dictionary?

    I edit frequently on Super User, and it is a pain to edit for capitalization or words that are shortened, i.e. Win7 instead of Windows 7, or windows versus Windows. Using Firefox 3.6 and/or 4, Is there a way (using an extension or configure settings) I can configure the dictionary to automatically recognize words that may not be capitalized or are shortened (while editing a post)? Say, have the dictionary see Win7 and underline it so that I can right-click on it, and select Windows 7? I would want it to be configurable, so I can tell it what to look for, etc... Ideas or recommendations?

And I am not sure, if the data from the request can actually be used for tracking :) question: I want the awesome features of the addon, without connecting to their server: marked text should be send only to the searchmachines. what should I do next? thank you.

  • phpize: m4 error just in one extension

    On Linux, I installed php 5.3.8 from source. Using phpize for installing an extension works fine but not on one specific extension (mysqlnd). # cd /opt/php/5.3.8/ext/pdo && /opt/php/5.3.8/bin/phpize ... this runs ok # cd /opt/php/5.3.8/ext/mysqlnd && /opt/php/5.3.8/bin/phpize Cannot find config.m4. Make sure that you run '/opt/php/5.3.8/bin/phpize' in the top level source directory of the module` As you can see error can not be that I am not on top level source directory since I am. I tried to call phpize from ext folder - did not work either! For info I have m4 installed Any idea? Thanks :)

  • Set default tab url in firefox 14

    In the latest firefox update, new tabs show -instead of the previously default blank page- a window of recently viewed pages. Before this was available, I had installed an 'addon' to allow this (called 'fvd speed dial'). It worked fine however I have since delete.d this as it is no longer needed but still loads the page where the addon was housed:'chrome://fvd.speeddial/content/fvd_about_blank.html'. I have reinstalled firefox yet the same problem still occurs. On the 'about:config' page I have found the setting 'browser.newtab.url' but do not know the default url. Is there any way to remedy this? I will just add, I appologise if this is not the case with the new tab feature. It is all I have gathered from the firefox update page. Also, I do not want to, ideally, simply restore my settings as I have changed some of them (such as the search bar, that work fine. I am on windows-xp, home edition. Not sure of what service pack.

    There are a lot of webdeveloper addons available, for Firefox, like firebug. But is there a html editor addon for Firefox. Which I can edit my website. Viewing the edits real-time (using localhost or via ftp?) and saving the edits(CTRL+S) I am currenlty using firebug and it would save a lot of time if I could save the (local) .html file using a firebug like addon!(or firebug itself?) I Found a firebug addon to save .css files... now just need one to save html, and I am good to go!

  • Need software to save videos from 4tube.com - to watch the videos smoothly

    Isn't there a programs that will capture screen writes at the hardware level? I have tried several Firefox add-ons, and several stand-alone programs, and none of them will save videos from this site. I even paid for Replay Media Catcher, and it didn't work, so I got a refund. (The website for the best Firefox video downloader I have, Downloadhelper, said Replay Media Catcher worked with that site.) I have a slow internet connection, and cannot watch videos smoothly unless I can cache them. This site (4tube.com) doesn't cache, when you restart, it reloads, when you pause it stops - so I need to be able to save the videos to be able to watch them.

    Is allowing dynamic extension loading dangerous for some reason? I ask because I need it to include the pecl oauth.so extension to make the Google Adwords PHP SDK work using dl(). I've tried all other alternatives but just can't get it to work: http://php.net/manual/en/function.dl.php enable_dl is set to off by default inside my php.ini, I enabled it, restarted apache and it works. If it's safe to use why is it disabled by default? I'm the only user with access to the server and it will be hosting a web application. Any advice would be helpful!

    My Apache process segfaults whenever I call curl_exec() from PHP with an "https://" URL. If I use http instead of https as the URL transport, it works perfectly, so I know curl and the other curl options are correct. I can use curl from the command-line on that server using the https version of the URL and it works perfectly, so I know the remote server is responding correctly, the cert isn't expired, etc.. Can anyone recommend another extension, software, or solution that can automatically shutdown the computer after all downloads have finished in Firefox 4 or later versions?     I need to start reading The TCP/IP Guide. I have to admit that compared to other informative guides/tutorials/articles out there, this guide isn't so cluttered. However, I still find it a little bit hard to read, especially when reading for several hours. I don't know if it's the font, the contrast or the spacing, but this is why I've always preferred learning from books rather than from the internet. What can I do to make this guide more readable?     I want to re-indent my code but the rails tags <% foo %> get aligned to the left with no indentation. What I'm using is: markup utilities format pretty print Does anyone know if there is a way to reconfigure this behavior? UPDATE: I just found this out but cant seem to get it working: "The 'Pretty print' option for Markup - Utilities - Format is now implemented internally using a Dreamweaver-style source format profile. This affords slightly prettier output than was possible before. Advanced users can override the factory format profile by placing an appropriately constructed file at ~/Library/Application Support/BBEdit/SourceFormat.profile." I opened the bbedit app package, found the file, copied it to the folder indicated in "application support" and tweaked the desired indentation width just as a test before touching anything else, and it doesnt seem to do anything.

    I looking for ip changer what is faster than PROXY (i tried Elite Proxy Switcher + Firefox add-on, but it's too slow. I set automatic switching to 4 sec and yes he change the ip every 4 sec however it's not enough because it loads pages very slowly.) Secondly I tried the TOR Project but this is not good..because the TOR would be nice and working good however he needs more than 10 seconds, a new identity and it's not to good for me because i want to change my ip lass than 10 sec. So I find the solution. This is IPfucker alias ipFlood (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox.../ipflood/) But it does not work on all sites unfortunately...because this is just simulation "Simulate the use of a series of proxy changing at each new connection.". Anyone knows a solution to the problem? Is there an alternative (VPS, Proxy, TOR)? Thanks in advice.

    When using Google Chrome, I would like to have a page scroll up so the bottom of form fields are at or above the bottom of the window when I click in the text input to begin entering something. However, if the form height is larger than the window, the top should not be scrolled off automatically. I want to go from: to: An bonus essential feature would be for the input box to automatically be resized in height (but not width) to fill the window. This feature ideally would be configurable: enable/disable and margin above and below. There should be no scrolling or resizing for one-line input boxes. Is there an extension or userscript that does something like this?

  • Tab stacking in Firefox

    I often use multiple tabs (30 or more). Since I upgraded to Firefox 17, the addon that I had been using to allow tab stacking is no longer compatible. (I believe Tab Mix Plus was the add-on). I'm not interested in changing the color of my tabs or having them listed down the left side of my window. I'd like to have them all along the top of the window in rows. Does anyone know an add-on compatible with Firefox 17?
