  I'm using the WebRequest object to post data to a login page, then post data to a seperate page on the same site. I am instantiating a CookieContainer and assigning it to the WebRequest object so that the cookies are handled. The problem is that I do not want to retain the cookie after I post data to the other page. How can I delete that cookie?

I am attempting to obtain PCI compliance for my site but the Mcafee security scan has thrown a: Potential Sensitive Persistent Cookie Sent Over a Non-Encrypted (SSL) Channel Drupal (default behavior) sets a session cookie when you simply arrive at the site. This is causing the problem. Clearly, the entire site shouldn't be under SSL; plenty of other sites set session cookies like this. What gives?

• Finding Missing UDP Frames Using Wireshark + Custom Dissector (for CQS)

  How do you use Wireshark to identify missing UDP frames? I have written a custom dissector for the CQS feed (reference page). One of our servers gaps when receiving this feed. According to Wireshark, some UDP frames are never received. I know that the frames were sent because all of our other servers are gap-free. A CQS frame consists of multiple messages, each having its own sequence number. My custom dissector provides the following data to Wireshark: cqs.frame_gaps - the number of gaps within a UDP frame (always zero) cqs.frame_first_seq - the first sequence number in a UDP frame cqs.frame_expected_seq - the first sequence number expected in the next UDP frame cqs.frame_msg_count - the number of messages in this UDP frame And I am displaying each of these values in custom columns, as shown in this screenshot: A typical CQS log will consist of millions of rows, so I can't just eyeball it. Is there any way I can get Wireshark to tell me which frames are missing?

  I'm attempting to get gltail set up on my local system to monitor logs remotely. I've got all the dependencies installed, but when I go to run gltail ... ./gl_tail configfile ../config.yaml I get this output: Missing gem net-ssh. Ubuntu: sudo gem install -y net-ssh -r .. which I've done a number of times. Here is the output: dev@ubuntu:~/Desktop/Fudge-gltail-e5b252d/bin$ sudo gem install net-ssh Successfully installed net-ssh-2.0.15 1 gem installed Installing ri documentation for net-ssh-2.0.15... • Installing Wordpress - constant PHP/MySQL extension appears missing

  I've got Win2003 w/IIS6, PHP 5 and MySQL installed. I can confirm PHP is installed correctly because I have a testMe.php that runs properly. When I run the Wordpress setup, I get informed that Your PHP installation appears to be missing the MySQL extension which is required by WordPress. But in my PHP.ini in the DYNAMIC EXTENSIONS section I have extension=php_mysql.dll extension=php_mysqli.dll I verified that mysql.dll and libmysql.dll are both in my PHP directory. I copied my libmysql.dll to the C:\Windows\System32 directory. When I try to run the initial setup for WordPress, I get this answer. I've Googled setting this up, and everything comes down to the above. I'm missing something, but none of the instructions that I've found online seem to cover whatever that is.

• How to rewrite the domain part of Set-Cookie in a nginx reverse proxy?

  I have a simple nginx reverse proxy: server { server_name external.domain.com; location / { proxy_pass http://backend.int/; } } The problem is that Set-Cookie response headers contain ;Domain=backend.int, because the backend does not know it is being reverse proxied. How can I make nginx rewrite the content of the Set-Cookie response headers, replacing ;Domain=backend.int with ;Domain=external.domain.com? Passing the Host header unchanged is not an option in this case. Apache httpd has had this feature for a while, see ProxyPassReverseCookieDomain, but I cannot seem to find a way to do the same in nginx.

It shouldn't, since this isn't mandated by the standards and indeed we're getting the headers in various different orders So we would like to rewrite the headers in Apache so that the cookie headers always appear in a specific order. Are there any web servers (obsolete or otherwise) which transmit cookie information using the COOKIE environment variable instead of the HTTP_COOKIE used by Apache? I've never seen COOKIE and other CGI libraries don't seem to support it.

• Dropbox context menu missing in OS X

  Problem My Dropbox context menu is missing in OS X Snow Leopard (10.6.8). While the Dropbox service runs normally, Finder doesn't show the icons and also doesn't give me the ability to browse files on the website or copy the public link. What I've tried Removed ~/.dropbox and ~/Dropbox/.dropbox.cache Reinstalled Dropbox.app (both 1.4.7 stable and 1.5.0 experimental), went through the setup again Restarted Finder Logged out and back in All of these I've done over and over again, in random permutations. I've made sure that Dropbox appears in the Login Items under my Account (and I've never touched that) I don't know if ~/Library/Contextual Menu Items is missing the Dropbox plugin or if there shouldn't be one after all. In any case, I can't get the icons or the menu to appear.

• Missing tables on Scaffold Dynamic Data page

  I created a Linq-to-SQL DBML for the first time. I dragged and dropped all my tables over to the designer. The tables all appear in the designer.cs file. In Global.asax, I also have model.RegisterContext() with the ScaffoldAllTables = true option. The routes are also setup. I can pull up the Scaffolding page, but there's at least one table that is missing that I'm trying to get to show up. This missing table has a relationship with a child table that references it. The child table appears. When viewing data for the child table, the column that references the missing/parent table shows the numeric PK int value, rather than showing the "name". So instead of showing "Cars" it shows 1, and instead of showing "Planes" it shows 2, etc. There's another table in the DB that has the same type of structure as the missing table, and it is correctly appearing in the scaffolded tables. For this missing table, I've tried explicitly adding the ScaffoldTable attribute to no avail. Does anyone know what would cause a table like this to not appear in the list Scaffolded tables?   My application users asked if it were possible for pages that contain a jqGrid to remember the filter, sort order and current page of the grid (because when they click a grid item to carry out a task and then go back to it they'd like it to be "as they left it") Cookies seem to be the way forward, but how to get the page to load these and set them in the grid before it makes its first data request is a little beyond me at this stage. Does anyone have any experience with this kind of thing with jqGrid? Thanks!

• Missing subject field values in user certificate (Windows)

  I am trying to enroll (on behalf of) a user certificate but certain fields appear to be missing in the subject field. Specifically, O and OU. Using ADSI, I see that the fields have the values I want but when I generate the certificate using Enroll on Behalf, certreq.exe, or certmgr.msc (run as different user) O does not appear at all and OU values are the AD containers the user account belongs to. This occurs despite my specifying the values in my .inf for certreq and setting the values in certificate properties when using certmgr.msc. Am I missing something or could I have configured something wrong? I am using an in internal CA.

• Method to control multiple sites using same cookie?

  Is it possible for two different web pages to use the same cookie? For example, some news sites now have buttons on the bottom, where if you are logged into facebook, you can just click the button to "like" the article. Is this a case of a 3rd party website using facebook's cookie to know which account you are, and if so, is there a way I can control it? I'm not sure how the new "like" system works, so maybe the button part isn't actually on the news site, but hosted on facebooks servers or something, so it's really facebook itself accessing its own cookie. If that's the case, is there a way I can choose when a site accesses its own cookie? Thanks for any help!

  I have a dual-boot setup with Ubuntu (lucid) and Windows 7. I have the Windows file system shared on Ubuntu through Samba. Occasionally, I am working on Windows and my machine will go into hibernate (i.e. when the battery level is critical). By default, my GRUB settings boot me into Ubuntu. So when I get back to my PC, sometimes I just hop into Ubuntu instead of going back to Windows. However, if I write any files to the Windows file system during that Ubuntu session, the next time I do go back to Windows (which resumes from hibernate), those files are missing. Obviously, the state of the actual file system and the hibernate snapshot become out of sync, and Windows chooses the hibernate snapshot, overriding any changes I may have made thru Ubuntu. For now, I've disabled the hibernate option in the Windows power settings, but is there any utility I can use to get back some of those missing files?
