  • Grabbing "last saved by" metadata from access '03 file to excel '03 in VBA

    So I am in Excel trying to read the last saved metadata from an Access database, but I cannot figure out how on earth to do this. If I use environ$("username") it will give my the last saved information for the excel document where I am coding, not the access db that I want it to grab from. Excel has a built in function for grabbing username data, but I cannot find one for access. How can I do this?! Any help is greatly appreciated!

We will be invoking this access database from a program that uses .net/SQL Server 2008. While invoking the application we would like to add the linked tables so that the users can just run the reports/modules from access without having to worry about linking the tables. Other considerations is that 1 product can have some pieces and 1 product can be a piece. Price product equal a sum of quantity * price of all their pieces. I need update the price of the main product when the price of the product child (piece) is changed. Following the previous example, if I change the price of this product "memory" (is a piece too) to 60€, then product "Computer" will must change his price to 320€ How I can do it using queries? Already I have tried this to obtain the price of the main product, but not runs.     I have remote email access from an iPhone or my Android phone, but I cannot setup a Windows Email Client to check my email using the exact same information I provided in my phones. The email system is an Exchange 2003 and I hate using the cheap Outlook Web App that it has. User: [email protected] Password: 1234 Server: mail.domain.com And that works for they phones. So why can't I get it to work on my email client? Maybe a DNS problem?

    I have just setup a Win2008R2 DirectAccess server (and also a Win2008R2 Active Directory server). From the Internet I can Remote Desktop login to the AD server, but I cannot RDP into the DirectAccess server. I can PING both servers and get an IPv6 response. (I can RDP to the DirectAccess server from the internal company network) DirectAccess is configured to allow full intranet access. I think I've hit a mental block, the answer will probably be obvious, but I just can't see it.
