• Oracle ALTER DATABASE OPEN

  Hi everyone, Im having some trouble with an oracle database. Every time i try to connect, i get this message. ORA-01033: ORACLE initialization or shutdown in progress I searched the web, and found that the solution is to execute an alter database open command, but what I dont understand is where should i execute if, since I cant connect to the database. So far I've found PyMT, but haven't really seen any comments on the maturity of that product, so any input in that regard would be much appreciated. I'd also like some other suggestions on API's that might be of interest, since googling have only given so much, and as with PyMT, it is quite difficult finding opinions on the frameworks out there.
