  • How to append query parameter at runtime using jQuery

    Through JavaScript I am appending one query parameter to the page url and I am facing one strange behaiviour. <div> <a href="Default3.aspx?id=2">Click me</a> </div> $(function () { window.location.href = window.location.href + "&q=" + "aa"; }); Now I am appending &q=aa in default3.aspx and in this page the &q=aa is getting added continuously, causing the URL to become: http://localhost:1112/WebSite2/Default3.aspx?id=2&q=aa&q=aa&q=aa&q=aa&q=aa&q=aa&q=aa&q=aa&q=aa&q=aa&q=aa&q=aa&q=aa&q=aa&q=aa&q=aa&q=aa&q=aa&q=aa&q=aa&q=aa One would say just pass it like <a href="Default3.aspx?id=2&q=aa">Click me</a>, but I cant do that. The value of this query parameter is actually the value of an HTML element which is in default3.aspx. I have to add it in runtime. What are the ways to achieve this?

  • SQL error C# - Parameter already defined

    Hey there. I have a c# application that parses txt files and imports the data from them into a sql db. I was using sqlite and am now working on porting it to sql server. It was working fine with sqlite but now with sql i am getting an error when it is processing the files. It added the first row of data to the db and then says "parameter @PartNumber has already been declared. Variable names must be unique within a batch or stored procedure". Here is my whole code and SQL table layout ... the error comes at the last insertCommand.ExecuteNonQuery() instance at the end of the code...     I use CXF(2.2.3) to compile the Amazon Web Service WSDL (http://s3.amazonaws.com/ec2-downloads/2009-07-15.ec2.wsdl) But got error as below. Parameter: snapshotSet already exists for method describeSnapshots but of type com.amazonaws.ec2.doc._2009_07_15.DescribeSnapshotsSetType instead of com.amazonaws.ec2.doc._2009_07_15.DescribeSnapshotsSetResponseType. Use a JAXWS/JAXB binding customization to rename the parameter.     I am adding I18N to my rails application by passing the locale using url params. My urls are looking like http://example.com/en/users and http://example.com/ar/users (for the english and arabic locales respectively). In my routes file, I have defined my routes with a :path_prefix option: map.resources :users, :path_prefix => '/:locale' And locale is being set using a before_filter defined in ApplicationController def set_locale I18n.locale = params[:locale] end I also defined ApplicationController#default_url_options, to add locale to all urls generated by the application: def default_url_options(options={}) {:locale => I18n.locale} end What I want is to add a link in the layout header (displayed in all pages) that would link to the same page but with the other locale. For instance, if I am browsing the arabic locale, I want a "English" link in the header, that will redirect me back to my current page, and set the locale to english. Is there a way to do this in rails?

Is there any function in the Java Restlet or in Java itself that allows you to see the parameter ids? e.g. http://mywebsite.com/calculator?id1=value1&id2=value2&id3=value3 = I'm trying to access the values of id1, id2, and id3 so that I don't have to require people using the web service to input all parameters (some of them are likely to be 0).

The documentation explains it with the following, but what if a table has multiple columns that allow NULL? I really don't get it :/ SQL doesn't allow inserting a completely empty row, so if initialValues is empty this column [/row for replace] will explicitly be assigned a NULL value

    Hello all, I've got a chunk of code that's passing an NSMutableDictionary (amongst other things) to a method in another class: [self.shuttle makeAPICallAndReturnResultsUsingMode:@"login" module:@"login" query:credentials]; The NSMutableArray credentials is previously defined like this: NSMutableDictionary *credentials = [[NSMutableDictionary alloc] init]; [credentials setObject:username forKey:@"username"]; [credentials setObject:password forKey:@"password"]; The method that receives it looks like this: -(id)makeAPICallAndReturnResultsUsingMode:(NSString *)mode module:(NSString *)module query:(NSMutableDictionary *)query The code works fine up until this point within the above method: [query setObject:self.sessionID forKey:@"session_id"]; At this point, the application terminates -- the console informs me of this exception: * Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSInvalidArgumentException', reason: '* -[NSCFDictionary setObject:forKey:]: method sent to an uninitialized mutable dictionary object' This leads me to believe that I must initialize NSMutableDictionary in some way in my new method before I can access it, but I have no idea how. Any advice?

    Dear fellow Programmers, I try to use the following google map webservice in order to locate greek addresses: http://maps.google.com/maps/api/geocode/json?address=??ad?µ?a? 16&sensor=false and it does not work. If I hit the same exactly address but written with latin alphabet characters: maps.google.com/maps/api/geocode/json?address=akadimias 16&sensor=false, it works and returns the right result.   • Passing to service custom class instance in WCF

    Hi, I have my custom class Customer with its properties. I added DataContract mark above the class and DataMember to properties and it was working fine, but I'm calling a service class's function, passing customer instance as parameter and some of my properties get 0 values. While debugging I can see my properties values and after it gets to the function, some properties' values are 0. Why it can be so? There's no code between this two actions. DataContract mark workes fine, everything's ok. Any suggestions on this issue? I tried to change ByRef to ByVal, but it doesn't change anything. Why it would pass other values right and some of integer types just 0? Maybe the answer is simple, but I can't figure it out.   • PHP Session variables not passing across pages

    Common problem, but I'm stumped. Session variables are passing across pages on my local (localhost) deployment, but not on my (www) host. I use a common includes file for each page with this code: $sessionDomain = "/"; @ini_set("session.cookie_path",$sessionDomain); $sessionName = "ccSID".md5('/store/'); session_name($sessionName); session_start(); I confirmed that the session ID cookie (ccSIDxxxxx...) remains the same across pages in my browser, but session variables don't seem to hold up when changing to a page in a different directory.

    Hi, on my silverlight 4 app I am trying to link up the drop event on a list box to my viewmodel. I am using expression blend 4's event trigger and invokecommandaction to hook up the drop event. Setting break points on my viewmodel, I can see the relevant function is fired when I drag a file onto the list box, however I cant seem to get access to the drageventArgs. I tried sending the entire listbox as a command parameter, and that doesn't work. Any ideas? Thanks

    Alright, PHP is throwing this error at me (in the log) when I run the code mentioned below: Error mysql_num_rows() expects parameter 1 to be resource, string given in (place) on line 10 Line 9-11 $queryFP = ("SELECT * FROM db"); $countFP = mysql_num_rows($queryFP); $aID = rand(1, $countFP); I think it has something to do with the $queryFP's syntax, but I'm not completely sure how to fix it since $queryFP's syntax is the simplest query I've ever seen.

    I recently came along this line of code: CustomData_em_free_block(&em->vdata, &eve->data); And I thought, isn't: a->b just syntactic sugar for: (*a).b With that in mind, this line could be re-written as: CustomData_em_free_block(&(*em).vdata, &(*eve).data); If that's the case, what is the point of passing in &(*a), as a parameter, and not just a? It seems like the pointer equivalent of -(-a) is being passed in in, is there any logic for this? Thank you.
