If I do either of the following the warning goes away: /*! \var GLOBAL_VAR * \brief This is my global initialisation array for MY_STRUCT * \returns */ MY_STRUCT GLOBAL_VAR = { 1, 3, 2, 1, }; Or: /*! \var GLOBAL_VAR * \brief This is my global initialisation array for MY_STRUCT */ MY_STRUCT GLOBAL_VAR = 3; The isn't very useful as it puts a "Returns" into my HTML documentation and the second one breaks my code!     Hello! I have an interface that, among other things, implements a "public IEnumerator GetEnumerator()" method, so I can use the interface in a foreach statement. I implement this interface in several classes and in one of them, I want to return an empty IEnumerator. Right now I do this the following way: public IEnumerator GetEnumerator() { ArrayList arr = new ArrayList(); return arr.GetEnumerator(); } However I consider this an ugly hack, and I can't help but think that there is a better way of returning an empty IEnumerator. Is there?

Basically I have 4 selects at the moment, but only the first one is populated with data at this point, but I want to grab the value from all of them when working with them. <select class="changeValue" id="drpOne"></select> <option id=1>1</option> <option id=2>2</option> <option id=3>3</option> <select class="changeValue" id="drpTwo"></select> JQuery: $('.changeValue').change(function() { var data = {}; data["Id1"] = $('#drpOne:selected').attr("id"); data["Id2"] = $('#drpTwo:selected').attr("id"); In this case, drpTwo will return 'undefined'. Is there anyway to get a null instead?

  • Different return XML in a WCF Operation

    I am writing a service to a international HTTP standard, and there is one method that can return three different XML results, call them Single, Multiple and Error. Now I've written an IXmlSerializable class that can consume each of these results and generate them. However, WCF seems to insist that I can only have a single return XML root name. I have to choose an XmlRoot for my custom object of either Single, Multiple or Error. How can I set up WCF so that I can choose at runtime what the root will be?     My application supports twitter and needs to open browser for OAuth. When the user clicks the Share on Twitter button, the main activity will create another subactivity (TwitterActivity) to handle twitter authentication issues. Here is a flow graph showing how activities are invoked currently. Main is short for MainActivity and Twit for TwitterActivity. startActivity() OAuth intent OAuth callback finish() Main ---------------> Twit ------------> Browser --------------> Twit --------> Browser As you may notice, after the TwitterActivity calls finish() to stop, it will now return back to MainActivity, but Browser instead. How can I make it return back to MainActivity? Many thanks

  • PostgreSQL - best way to return an array of key-value pairs

    I'm trying to select a number of fields, one of which needs to be an array with each element of the array containing two values. Each array item needs to contain a name (character varying) and an ID (numeric). I know how to return an array of single values (using the ARRAY keyword) but I'm unsure of how to return an array of an object which in itself contains two values. The query is something like SELECT t.field1, t.field2, ARRAY(--with each element containing two values i.e. {'TheName', 1 }) FROM MyTable t I read that one way to do this is by selecting the values into a type and then creating an array of that type. Problem is, the rest of the function is already returning a type (which means I would then have nested types - is that OK? If so, how would you read this data back in application code - i.e. with a .Net data provider like NPGSQL?) Any help is much appreciated.

    I have an array of objects. The objects have a property called level that is a string which contains a number and is in consistent format. I am trying to find the highest number and return just that one but I seem to be blocked as far as how to proceed from my current code. I'm trying to invoke a method with reflection that has a generic return type, like this: public class SomeClass<T> { public List<T> GetStuff(); } I get an instance of SomeClass with a call to a Repository's GetClass<T> generic method. MethodInfo lGetSomeClassMethodInfo = typeof(IRepository) .GetMethod("GetClass") .MakeGenericMethod(typeof(SomeClass<>); object lSomeClassInstance = lGetSomeClassMethodInfo.Invoke( lRepositoryInstance, null); After that, I this is where I try to invoke the GetStuff method: typeof(SomeClass<>).GetMethod("GetStuff").Invoke(lSomeClassInstance, null) I get an exception about the fact that the method has generic arguments. However, I can't use MakeGenericMethod to resolve the return type. Also, if instead of typeof(SomeClass<>) I use lSomeClassInstance.GetType() (which should have resolved types) GetMethod("GetStuff") returns null! UPDATE I have found the solution and will post the answer shortly.

    I have a query as follows: SELECT 1 FROM shop_inventory a JOIN shop_items b ON b.id=a.iid AND b.szbid=3362169 AND b.cid=a.cid WHERE a.cid=1 GROUP BY a.bought The only thing I need to do with this data is work out the number of rows returned (which I could do with mysqli -> num_rows;. However, I would like to know if there is a method to return the number of rows that match the query, without having to run num_rows? For example, the query should return one row, with one result, number_of_rows. I hope this makes sense!

    Let's say I have a C# method public void CheckXYZ(int xyz) { // do some operation with side effects } Elsewhere in the same class is another method public int GetCheckedXYZ(int xyz) { int abc; // functionally equivalent operation to CheckXYZ, // with additional side effect of assigning a value to abc return abc; // this value is calculated during the check above } Is it necessarily bad style to refactor this by removing the CheckXYZ method, and replacing all existing CheckXYZ() calls with GetCheckedXYZ(), ignoring the return value? The returned type isn't IDisposable in this case. Does it come down to discretion?
