    Hello, there, I have a such piece of code: $("#choose").change(function(){ $.get("get_results.php", {name: $("#choose").val()}, function(data){ if(data !== ""){ $("#results").html(data); }else{ $("#results").html('<strong>Sorry, no records.</strong>'); } }); }); Now the problem is that the first condition ( if(data !== "") ) is always evaluated correctly and executed, but the else clause ('Sorry, no records') never shows up. Can anyone spot the error? Data passed for the else clause is specifically "". Thank You.

    Ok I'm trying to make search terms bold in this search script I'm making, except I can't get it to work case insensitive. function highlight($term,$target){ $terms = explode(" ", $term); foreach($terms as $term){ $result = (eregi_replace($term, "<strong>$term</strong>", $target)); } return $result; } That is the function I have so far.. It says on PHP.net that eregi_replace is case insensitive matching but it's obviously not working for some reason. (I'm a noob). Any ideas? :D

    HI: How to set the default font for different language in the xubuntu? For example, I am using xubuntu9.10(English release),and I do not like the default English and Chinese font. I have tried to use "Application-setting-appearance-fonts" to edit the default font,however it just work for the English. The default font of Chinese is "WenQuanYi Zen Hei". I do not like it. I want to use "Microsoft YaHei", I copy this file from my Win7 system. And I tried remove the "WenQuanYi Zen Hei" by "sudo aptitude remove ttf-wqy",it show me it is successfully removed. What firefox extension can i use to either freeze or disable cookies for this one specific site? I dont want to whitelist every site i visit because one site is giving me trouble.

    ISP's recommend you segment your marketing and transactional emails by using different IPs. I want to start using DKIM, but since DKIM is a domain based reputation system I wonder if signing with the same company.com domain will impact the reputation of transactional emails, since both them and marketing will be signed with the same domain? Is using DKIM with subdomains possible? Would something like this: bulk.company.com and transactional.company.com be a good idea? Thanks!

    Task at hand: Microsoft sign drivers on Win 7. I microsoft signed my driver package 3 times every time thinking I might have missed a step or something. However, I cannot seem to get rid of the Windows Security error message "Windows can't verify the publisher of this driver software'. This is not the first time I have signed the driver packages. I was successfully able to sign other driver packages a few months ago. However, with this driver package I keep getting Windows security dialog box. Here's the procedure I follow - Create a new cat file using INF2CAT tool. Self sign the driver using a Versign Class 3 Public Primary Certification Authority - G5.cer. Run the microsoft tests on DTM Servers and clients with the devices that use this driver. Create WLK submission package. Self sign the cab file. Submit the package for certification. The catalog file that comes back after successfully passing tests says Name of signer "Microsoft Windows Hardware Comptibility Publisher". When I check the validity of signature using SignTool, it says the signature is vaild. However, when I try to install the driver with new signed catalog file the windows complain. Any ideas?   • What is Error 324? Is it related to Google Chrome? Or Verizon Webmail?

    My in-laws are having trouble with signing into their Verizon Webmail account at webmail.verizon.net, only when they are on their wireless network. When they try to log in from wireless they get "Error 324" in the browser, in both Google Chrome AND IE8. But they can access any other site, and they can get on their Verizon email when they plug in directly to the browser. Does anyone know why this is?

    I've an application that need to be deployed to some testers. those with windows machine are reporting that the certificate used for signing the application couldn't be installed because of an unknown critical extension (1.2.840.113635.100.6.1.4) is there a way to make that critical extension known to windows (vista 64bit specifically)? I'm guessing that all this system of extension give user the ability to register callbacks to interpret the various added extensions (it would be totally useless otherwise)

While searching for a way to automate a build process that involves jar signing, I came across expect, and thought I could use it to supply a password to jarsigner (whether having a password in a shell script is a good idea I understand the risks of). expect "Enter Passphrase for keystore:" Instead of catching this, the jarsigner sat waiting at that line. Am I completely misunderstanding the point of "expect" and if I am, what can I use to achieve this effect?

  • Moved files only opening as 'read-only' in Excel

    I moved a large directory of Excel files to another machine. When I sign in as myself (administrator signing into domain) then the files open just fine, but when I sign in as a Power User directly onto the machine, the files open as 'Read-Only'. I've reset all the attributes through both Windows and DOS, but to no avail. Also I checked on the Search Indexing bug, but indexing is already turned off. Any ideas?

    My in-laws are having trouble with signing into their Verizon Webmail account at webmail.verizon.net, only when they are on their wireless network. When they try to log in from wireless they get "Error 324" in the browser, in both Google Chrome and Internet Explorer 8.     Hi all, If I understand PGP correctly, I can digitally sign my email with my private key, which will prove they are from me, right? I created my public and private key on my server, but I can't work out how to set up digital signing with Windows Live Mail. Just to be clear, I'm talking about my own domain email account and not a hotmail account. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

    I have Postfix with spamassassin and forward the emails (including spam) to gmail.com, my problem is that when I send "legitimate" emails to gmail.com it is marked as spam, I've done everything that the guidelines said like signing with DKIM, setup a SPF for my domains, require authentication for outbound mails, etc. Now I wonder what I'm doing wrong?

  • Learn WinRT or Unity 3d?

    I am not sure where to ask advices about career development, so I am sorry if I am wrong. My question is what is better for me to learn, Win 8 and metro style applications or try to focus on some 3d engine, like Unity 3d? On the one hand I`ve got enought experience in c# and programming for business applications (WinForms and WPF), on the other hand I was always been fasinated by the creation of computer games and have strong math background. Which is better in terms of my career and new job opportunities?
