  • Hide Hashtags from the user's address bar

    Does anyone know an easy way to hide hashtags in the user's address bar? I am using a image gallery plugin and the only way to control the start position is to use a hash tag. The problem is the hash tag gives away the relative path of the images folder and it looks bad. Without the hash tag it only loads thumbs and not start image so really it's unavoidable. Thanks!

    I have a dead simple progress "bar" using something like the following: import sys from time import sleep current = 0 limit = 50 while current <= limit: sys.stdout.write('\rSynced %s/%s orders' % (current, limit)) current_order += 1 sleep(1) Works fine, except over ssh with Putty. Putty only updates every 3 minutes or if a line ends with \n. Is this a Putty setting, sshd_config, or can I code around it?

  • Create jquery dropdown like RDP Menu Bar

Basically, I want a block of html to stay hidden at the top of the page with a ~3px edge sticking out (something to mouseover), and when you mouse over it, the hidden section slides down. Basically I want it to work like the RDP full screen menu bar works. Any thoughts on what the best way of doing this is?

    I'm loading a rather large swf as style with the following command: StyleManager.loadStyleDeclarations("assets/modules/"style.swf",true,false,ApplicationDomain.currentDomain); The style is loaded fine but now I would like to add a progress bar to it, but I do not know how to do so.   • Android Mock Location locks GPS on status bar

    I created an app that uses mock locations to insert GPS coordinates. After removing the test provider via: mLocationManager.clearTestProviderLocation(mocLocationProvider); mLocationManager.removeTestProvider(mocLocationProvider); mLocationManager.removeUpdates(mLocationListener); When I launch google maps for example after exiting the app the GPS location is found and then never goes away. "Location Set By GPS" always remains on the notification bar even though my app is ended. Any ideas?

    Ruby by default does not include the method [] for NilClass For example, to check if foo["bar"] exists when foo may be nil, I have to do: foo = something_that_may_or_may_not_return_nil if foo && foo["bar"] # do something with foo["bar"] here end If I define this method: class NilClass def [](arg) nil end end Something like that would make this possible, even if foo is nil: if foo["bar"] # do something with foo["bar"] end Or even: if foo["bar"]["baz"] # do something with foo["bar"]["baz"] here end Question: Is this a good idea or is there some reason ruby doesn't include this functionality by default?

  • Action bar with Search View. Reverse compatibility issues

    I am building a sample app to demonstrate SearchView with filter and other Action Bar items. I am able to successfully run this app on 4.2(Nexus 7). But it is not running on 2.3. I googled about the issue. Came to know that i should use SherLock Action bar. I just went to http://actionbarsherlock.com/download.html, downloaded the zip file and added the library as informed in the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4GJ6yY1lNNY&feature=player_embedde by WiseManDesigns.
