• Which workflow engine should I chose for implementing a dynamic reconfiguration of workflows?

  I want to be able to interrupt a running workflow instance, say when a new activity is about to be invoked, and extract information both about the structure of the workflow and the data in the particular instance. Then I will consult with an external system and according to its response I will possibly alter the behaviour of the workflow. The options I would like to have are addition/removal of activities and altering parameters for the activities to be invoked. I am currently struggling with the engine it's best to go with. I have looked at WWF, Apache ODE, Oracle Workflow and Active BPEL and as far as I understand they can all provide me with the options I need. I would really appreciate any recommendations on which one will be the easiest to work with for my purpose and any restrictions either of the above might have that would prevent me from reaching my goal. • Rsspnse.redirect will not redirect on Internet explorer

  Hi, I am using Response.Redirect("someurl",true); in the page_preInit event to redirect all the requests that come to a page. It works fine on Firexox, but if i access the page from internet explorer 7/8, it says page can not be found and will not redirect to new URL. Any idea why this happens?? Update: I tried giving a radom URL in the redirect such as google.com and it works fine. Actually the URL I am trying to redirect is not accessible on my machine, it is on another VPN. I guess IE will not change the URL on the addressbar if it can not access the URL. Firefox on the other hand changes the address on the address bar.

  Hi... I've have a table view that consist of item list that depends on the item that were purchased using in app purchasing. My question was how can I reload the tableView when the purchasing was completed/(or when new item was added on my list). The response of the storekit takes time to complete. Are there anyways to tell the app that the purchasing was completed and new item was added on my list so that I can reload my tableView. At this time I reloading my table view by adding [myTableView reloadData] in viewWillAppear method. But what if the user was already viewing the tableView, I can't reload the tableView because the viewWillAppear had passed. thanks...

  I'm using the built-in ajax functionality of MVC2. Basically the user types a search query, and on every key press a set of results for the query is shown. This works fine in almost all cases, but sometimes the server is a bit slow with a single response, and thus the result for the next key stroke is returned before the previous. When the previous key stroke result set is finally returned to the client it will overwrite the results for the newer search query that should actually have been shown. My code follows more or less along these lines: <% using (Ajax.BeginForm("SearchUser", null, new AjaxOptions() { UpdateTargetId = "findUserResults" }, new { id = "findUserAjaxForm" })) {%> Every keystroke submits this form and thus outputs the results in the 'findUserResults' element. • Clean way to output values in ASP.NET MVC Views when value is not null

  Is there a better way to write the code below? I have quite a few blocks that are similar, and this is making the code in the Viewpage very messy to work with. The data value with the associated label only needs to be output when certain conditions are met, which is almost always if the value is not null. • crypto++ / pycrypto with google app engine

  Hi, I am using crypto++ to send AES encrypted http requests to app engine, planning to decrypt them there. My plan is to encrypt the portion after the '?' so it's something like: http://myurl.com/Command?eiwjfsdlfjldkjfs when it is encrypted. However, I'm stuck figuring out how to decrypt it at the other end and still user get() on the response to get the args. Can someone advise if I am taking the wrong approach? Should I be decrypting and not using get() but my own parser then?

• How to make drupal known submitting custom content

  Hi, I know this is not a drupal forum but, as I’m not getting any response there, I decided to give it a shot here. I’m creating a web site that accepts custom content from users. So, for that matter, this site has a form and a custom module. Instead of using admin theme, this form is placed inside custom template which is created to have a uniform look with the rest of the pages. As a result, creating form elements through hook_form is out of question. Here’s where my problems lie. As this form uses custom theme, I’m not sure as to what can I do to make drupal know that user is submitting new content data when the form is submitted? Would I need to use same query string that of content submission page of admin page like - ?q=node/add/page for action attribute of the html form? (OR) the only way is to map the url to my custom function and invoke some sort of hook inside of it? Thanks

• SQL Server mirroring connection doesnt work

  I have 2 servers srv-erp1 and srv-erp3. I made them mirror on each other. All setup is done by lots of tutorials and examples. But when I call ALTER DATABASE MIRROR_TEST SET PARTNER = 'TCP://srv-erp3:5022' It`s response is: The server network address "TCP://srv-erp3:5022" can not be reached or does not exist. Check the network address name and that the ports for the local and remote endpoints are operational. I go to cmd on srv-erp3 and use netstat -an... this port is listening. I go to cmd on srv-erp1 and use telnet srv-erp3 5022...and its ok to connect. All firewalls are turned off. The only difference in config of srvrs is that srv-erp1 is on Windows Server 2003 R2 x64, and srv-erp3 is on Windows 2008 R2 x64 What can be the reason of this problem? Regards, Dmitry.

  I'm having an encoding issue, and I'm not sure where to look for the problem. • jQuery ajax request to php, how to return plain text only

  I am making an ajax request to a php page and I cannot for the life of me get it to just return plain text. $.ajax({ type: 'GET', url: '/shipping/test.php', cache: false, dataType: 'text', data: myData, success: function(data){ console.log(data) } }); in test.php I am including this script to get UPS rates. I am then calling the function with $rate = ups($dest_zip,$service,$weight,$length,$width,$height); I am doing echo $rate; at the bottom of test.php. When viewed in a browser shows the rate, that's great. But when I request the page via ajax I get a bunch of XML.   I am fairly new to MVC but not sure exactly which Redirect... replaces the standard redirect used in WebForms ie the standard Response.Redirect() For instance, I need to redirect to other pages in a couple of scenarios: 1) WHen the user logs out (Forms signout in Action) I want to redirect to a login page 2) In a Controller or base Controller event eg Initialze, I want to redirect to another page (AbsoluteRootUrl + Controller + Action) It seems that multiple redirects get called in some cases which causes errors, something to do with the fact a page is already being redirected? How can cancel the current request and just redirect?

• Wordpress database query running slow - one of the columns doesn't exist!

  Hi there. I'm having some problems with the query that wordpress runs. That's the one: SELECT DISTINCT ID,post_title,post_date,post_content,MATCH(post_title,post_content) AGAINST ('S') AS score FROM wp_posts WHERE MATCH (post_title,post_content) AGAINST ('S') AND post_date <= 'S' AND post_status = 'S' AND id != N AND post_type = 'S' ORDER BY score DESC When I'm running this query in phpmyadmin it says that N column doesn't exist so clause "AND id != N" si not making any sense. I ran the query again without this clause and db behaved like fully optimized one. Please can someone give me a hint on that? My questions are: What this clause is used for? What wordpress is trying to find by running this and Can I modify core wordpress files to get rid of this clause? Any response or help greatly appreciated!!

• How to check for an active Internet Connection on iPhone SDK?

  I would like to check to see if I have an Internet connection on the iPhone using the Cocoa Touch libraries. I came up with a way to do this using an NSUrl. The way I did it seems a bit unreliable (because even Google could one day be down and relying on a 3rd party seems bad) and while I could check to see for a response from some other websites if Google didn't respond, it does seem wasteful and an unnecessary overhead on my application. - (BOOL) connectedToInternet { NSString *URLString = [NSString stringWithContentsOfURL:[NSURL URLWithString:@"http://www.google.com"]]; return ( URLString != NULL ) ?   I have an xsd file Foo.xsd. I tried following ways to refer it in a WSDL file but it doesnt work. 1) placed the xsd file in local file system and imported it as <xsd:import namespace="http://ws.test.com/" schemaLocation="file:///D:/wsdl/Foo.xsd"></xsd:import> 2) Placed the xsd file in web root folder and imported as <xsd:import namespace="http://ws.test.com/" schemaLocation="http://localhost:8080/Xfire/Foo.xsd"></xsd:import> When I run the client I get null for the fields of response object. But this works when I embed the type definition inside the WSDL itself. How do we specify the path to external xsds? I am using xFire 1.2.6 for generating webservices. Client is generated using xFire WSGen ant task.

  Hello, For a middleware system with internet (which works inside a set-top box) I want to develop a primitive Facebook interface where users can type their user-names and password, showing their latest notification, messages and other casual stuff on the TV screen by using the recent Facebook Graph API. This middleware program uses Java ME to run programs (such as this simple facebook app) and it can connect to internet however it doesn't have a real web browser. Without browser it can connect to any url to retrieve the JSON response however I am not sure how to achieve authentication without a real browser. Under this circumstances, is it possible Facebook authentication? If you think so, what approach would you suggest ? Thanks

  I am trying to do some screen-scraping of a website. The content that I want to get is inside of an IFrame. How do I get the InnerText or HTML that is being displayed inside of the IFrame? I am using .Net 4.0 and C#. I want to be able to do this from a WinForm.   I created a controller and a model. The controller is called "Admin" and the model is called "Album". I edited database.yml with proper info and did the rake db:migrate command which didn't return any errors and did migrate the db inside schema.rb. • Why does Google append while(1); in front of their JSON responses?

  This is something I've always been curious about, is exactly why Google appends while(1); in front of their (private) JSON responses. For example, here's a response while turning a calendar on and off in Google Calendar: while(1);[['u',[['smsSentFlag','false'],['hideInvitations','false'],['remindOnRespondedEventsOnly','true'],['hideInvitations_remindOnRespondedEventsOnly','false_true'],['Calendar ID stripped for privacy','false'],['smsVerifiedFlag','true']]]] I would assume this is to prevent people from doing an eval() on it, but all you'd really have to do is replace the while and then you'd be set. I would assume eval prevention is to make sure people write safe JSON parsing code. I've seen this used in a couple other places, too, but a lot more so with Google (Mail, Calendar, Contacts, etc.) Strangely enough, Google Docs starts with &&&START&&& instead, and Google Contacts seems to start with while(1); &&&START&&&. Does anyone know what's going on here?

• JSF skips phases - How to debug that?

  Hey fellows, I have to debug a foreign jsf application thanks god. The problem is, that I submit a form, but the values aren't carried over. With a phase listener I can see, that the life cycle doesn't run completely through, so to say it skips phase 2 -5: After the restore view phase, the render response phase is directly called. I miss the apply values, validation, update model actions and so on. So, this could be a chicken-and-egg problem: 1. The responsible phases aren't called, so the new form input can't be carried over. 2. The system doesn't recognize any new input and therefore directly renders after restoring the view. I checked that there is no call of responseComplete() oder renderResponse(). I'm stuck somehow. Any idea to validate one of the two hypothesis? Or how to debug that in general? Did anybody have a similar problem?

• How to find why NSMutableData is invalid

  I access a RESTFUL url and get back results. The results are in JSON. I turn the response into a string via: - (void)connectionDidFinishLoading:(NSURLConnection *)connection { NSString *json = [[NSString alloc] initWithBytes:[self.receivedData mutableBytes] length:[self.receivedData length] encoding:NSUTF8StringEncoding]; The json variable has a value of 0x0. When I mouse over it, I see <Invalid CFStringRef. How can I debug this to tell why it is invalid? I render the JSON given back through the browser in A JSON parser. That checks out fine. Results are given back by entering an ID in the URL. Other IDs return results without issue. The result set is fairly large.
