• How to troubleshoot deallocation of object in uitableview?

  I have a table view with tall cells. About 300 in height. The cells are custom and have an associated nib. In cellForRowAtIndexPath, I access an object in an array using indexPath.row. The object has properties, which I assign to labels on the custom cell. This works fine for the first two cells. Once I scroll enough for the third cell to get created, the app crashes.   i have this enormous array that i am pulling from an API for BattleField Bad Company 2, and the soldier stats can be pulled as a multi dimensional array with an inner array for each soldier, however the API sormats it sorting the soldiers by name alphabetically, i want to sort them by rank (which is just another key within that soldiers array). ive been trying to figure this out for days, anyone have any ideas? • iPhone Simulator locks up immediately upon Build / Run

  I'm having a problem getting my MacBook set up to build iPhone *apps* in xCode. The iPhone Simulator locks up and shows the "spinning circle" busy icon. I've tried everything I can think of, including resetting the simulator tried all of the different hardware options tried the two debug build choices in xCode. uninstalling the SDK and completely reinstalling I downloaded the SDK today - "xcode_3.2.2_and_iphone_sdk_3.2_final" I'm just upgraded from Leopard to Snow Leopard (10.6.3). I've run all the software updates. xCode version says 3.2.2 (1650) If it matters, my MacBook is 3-4 years old, 13 inch, dual 2.16 ghz intel cores, 2 gig RAM. I've never had a single problem with it.   I've got an old Juniper SSG5 running ScreenOS 5.4.0r6.0. Once a day, more or less, it'll start randomly dropping packets at a rate of ~5-10%. We currently solve this issue by simply rebooting the unit, after which it resumes working in perfect condition. As this error has started appearing randomly, without any configuration or hardware changes, I'm assuming I've got an aging unit about to fail. As such, I've got a replacement SSG5 running ScreenOS 6.0. I've dumped the config on the 5.4 and imported it into a clean 6.0, and it seems to gladly accept it, and all my configuration seems to be A-OK. However, upon connecting the new unit, all outside-initiated connections seem to be blocked. If I browse our external IP from the inside, everything works perfectly, and it's not just port 80, SSH, Crashplan - all of our policies route correctly. All normal networking, initiated from the inside, work perfectly as well. If on the other hand I browse our external IP from the outside, everything is blocked. Barring differences between ScreenOS 5.4 and 6.0, the config is identical. • Which are the Extreme Programming "core" practices?

  Recently, I began reading about agile methodologies and XP in particular. I am a bit confused, though, about what are considered the practices involved in extreme programming. More precisely: Wikipedia reports 12 practices, which I someway believe to be the "classic" ones. Both Kent Beck and Ron Jeffries indicate 13 practices (you can find the links at the bottom of wikipedia page about "Extreme Programming Practices", I cannot post them here since I am new user of Stack Overflow), while this review of Kent Beck's "XP explained" (2nd edition) report more than 20 somewhat different practices. As a complete beginner in the topic (and basically as a complete beginner as a programmer), I would like to be enlightened on the matter. My impression is that I should look at Beck's book, since the second edition has been written after several years of XPerience, but I can find a lot less material based on that.

All servers are in local network behind router, with NATed external ip:ports (http/s 80/443 to proxy, and ssh 22 to all servers). Problem is, that sometimes proxy server netstat reports MILLIONS of SYN_RECV connections. From same IP / same ports. • IE Mixed Content Warining when using https URLs and http:443 URLs?

  I'm getting the good ole' "This page contains both secure and nonsecure items." dialog in IE when connecting to an HTTPS site. No big deal... I've just got something coming in over a non-secure connection so that should be an easy fix, right? So I go into "View Web Page Privacy Policy..." to look to see where I've included an HTTP file, and this is what I see... https://blah/path/to/file.htm https://blah/path/to/file.js http://blah:443/path/to/file.css Um... ok... so... there is an HTTP only URL being requested, but it is going over port 443 ("https://blah/" is shorthand for "http://blah:443/") so... What is the deal with this!? IE 7.0.5730.13 can't possibly be THAT stupid, can it? Is there an IIS setting that needs to be tweaked?

• Java Charset problem on linux

  Hi, problem: I have a string containing special characters which i convert to bytes and vice versa..the conversion works properly on windows but on linux the special character is not converted properly.the default charset on linux is UTF-8 as seen with Charset.defaultCharset.getdisplayName() however if i run on linux with option -Dfile.encoding=ISO-8859-1 it works properly.. how to make it work using the UTF-8 default charset and not setting the -D option in unix environment. edit: i use jdk1.6.13 edit:code snippet works with cs = "ISO-8859-1"; or cs="UTF-8"; on win but not in linux String x = "½"; System.out.println(x); byte[] ba = x.getBytes(Charset.forName(cs)); for (byte b : ba) { System.out.println(b); } String y = new String(ba, Charset.forName(cs)); System.out.println(y); ~regards daed
