  • WPF zoom canvas and maintain scroll position

    - by Alex McBride
    I have a Canvas element, contained within a ScrollViewer, which I'm zooming using ScaleTransform. However, I want to be able to keep the scroll position of the viewer focused on the same part of the canvas after the zoom operation has finished. Currently when I zoom the canvas the scroll position of the viewer stays where it was and the place the user was viewing is lost. I'm still learning WPF, and I've been going backwards and forwards a bit on this, but I can't figure out a nice XAML based way to accomplish what I want. Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated and would aid me in my learning process. Here is the kind of code I'm using... <Grid> <ScrollViewer Name="TrackScrollViewer" HorizontalScrollBarVisibility="Auto" VerticalScrollBarVisibility="Auto"> <Canvas Width="2560" Height="2560" Name="TrackCanvas"> <Canvas.LayoutTransform> <ScaleTransform ScaleX="{Binding ElementName=ZoomSlider, Path=Value}" ScaleY="{Binding ElementName=ZoomSlider, Path=Value}"/> </Canvas.LayoutTransform> <!-- Some complex geometry describing a motor racing circuit --> </Canvas> </ScrollViewer> <StackPanel Orientation="Horizontal" Margin="8" VerticalAlignment="Top" HorizontalAlignment="Left"> <Slider Name="ZoomSlider" Width="80" Minimum="0.1" Maximum="10" Value="1"/> <TextBlock Margin="4,0,0,0" VerticalAlignment="Center" Text="{Binding ElementName=ZoomSlider, Path=Value, StringFormat=F1}"/> </StackPanel> </Grid>

  • Handle exceptions with WPF and MVVM

    - by Jon Cahill
    I am attempting to build an application using WPF and the MVVM pattern. I have my Views being populated from my ViewModel purely through databinding. I want to have a central place to handle all exceptions which occur in my application so I can notify the user and log the error appropriately. I know about Dispatcher.UnhandledException but this does not do the job as exception that occur during databinding are logged to the output windows. Because my View is databound to my ViewModel the entire application is pretty much controlled via databinding so I have no way to log my errors. Is there a way to generically handle the exceptions raised during databinding, without having to put try blocks around all my ViewModel public's? Example View: <Window x:Class="Test.TestView" xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation" xmlns:x="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml" Title="TestView" Height="600" Width="800" WindowStartupLocation="CenterScreen"> <Window.Resources> <BooleanToVisibilityConverter x:Key="BooleanToVisibilityConverter" /> </Window.Resources> <StackPanel VerticalAlignment="Center"> <Label Visibility="{Binding DisplayLabel, Converter={StaticResource BooleanToVisibilityConverter}}">My Label</Label> </StackPanel> </Window> The ViewModel: public class TestViewModel { public bool DisplayLabel { get { throw new NotImplementedException(); } } } It is an internal application so I do not want to use Wer as I have seen previously recommended.

  • Why does Internet Explorer break "pegman" display in Google Maps API v3?

    - by Chad
    On my site here, the SteetView control, aka "Pegman", works great under Firefox. Under IE (7 in this case, but tested on 8 as well - same result) it breaks the display of the pegman control. Here's my map code: var directionsDisplay; var directionsService = new google.maps.DirectionsService(); var map; directionsDisplay = new google.maps.DirectionsRenderer(); var milBase = new google.maps.LatLng(35.79648921414565, 139.40663874149323); var mapOpts = { streetViewControl: true, zoom: 12, center: milBase, mapTypeControlOptions: { style: google.maps.MapTypeControlStyle.DROPDOWN_MENU }, mapTypeId: google.maps.MapTypeId.ROADMAP }; map = new google.maps.Map($("#dirMap").get(0), mapOpts); directionsDisplay.setMap(map); var basePoly = new google.maps.Polygon({ paths: [new google.maps.LatLng(35.724496338474104, 139.3444061279297), new google.maps.LatLng(35.74748750802863, 139.3363380432129), new google.maps.LatLng(35.75765724051559, 139.34303283691406), new google.maps.LatLng(35.76545779822543, 139.3418312072754), new google.maps.LatLng(35.767547103447725, 139.3476676940918), new google.maps.LatLng(35.75835374997911, 139.34955596923828), new google.maps.LatLng(35.755149755962755, 139.3567657470703), new google.maps.LatLng(35.74679090345495, 139.35796737670898), new google.maps.LatLng(35.74762682821177, 139.36294555664062), new google.maps.LatLng(35.744422402303826, 139.36346054077148), new google.maps.LatLng(35.74860206266584, 139.36946868896484), new google.maps.LatLng(35.735644401200986, 139.36843872070312), new google.maps.LatLng(35.73843117306677, 139.36174392700195), new google.maps.LatLng(35.73592308277646, 139.3531608581543), new google.maps.LatLng(35.72686543236113, 139.35298919677734), new google.maps.LatLng(35.724496338474104, 139.3444061279297)], strokeColor: "#ff0000", strokeOpacity: 0.8, strokeWeight: 2, fillColor: "#FF0000", fillOpacity: 0.35 }); basePoly.setMap(map); var marker = new google.maps.Marker({ position: new google.maps.LatLng(35.79648921414565, 139.40663874149323), map: map, title: "Ruby International" }); function calcRoute() { var start = new google.maps.LatLng(35.74005964772476, 139.37083393335342); var end = new google.maps.LatLng(35.79648921414565, 139.40663874149323); var request = { origin: start, destination: end, travelMode: google.maps.DirectionsTravelMode.DRIVING }; directionsService.route(request, function(result, status) { if (status == google.maps.DirectionsStatus.OK) { directionsDisplay.setDirections(result); } }); } The only real difference from my code and Google's code is that I use jQuery's document ready function instead of the body onload event to initialize my map. Can't imagine that's the cause though (works in v2 of the maps). Have I found a bug or is there something wrong in my code? Thanks in advance!

  • Flex DataGrid with ComboBox itemRenderer

    - by Jamie Love
    Hi there, I'm going spare trying to figure out the "correct" way to embed a ComboBox inside a Flex (3.4) DataGrid. By Rights (e.g. according to this page http://blog.flexmonkeypatches.com/2008/02/18/simple-datagrid-combobox-as-item-editor-example/) it should be easy, but I can't for the life of me make this work. The difference I have to the example linked above is that my display value (what the user sees) is different to the id value I want to select on and store in my data provider. So what I have is: <mx:DataGridColumn headerText="Type" width="200" dataField="TransactionTypeID" editorDataField="value" textAlign="center" editable="true" rendererIsEditor="true"> <mx:itemRenderer> <mx:Component> <mx:ComboBox dataProvider="{parentDocument.transactionTypesData}"/> </mx:Component> </mx:itemRenderer> </mx:DataGridColumn> Where transactionTypesData has both 'data' and 'label' fields (as per what the ComboBox - why on earth it doesn't provide both a labelField and idField I'll never know). Anyway, the above MXML code doesn't work in two ways: The combo box does not show up with any selected item. After selecting an item, it does not store back that selected item to the datastore. So, has anyone got a similar situation working?

  • XNA Alpha Blending to make part of a texture transparent

    - by David
    What I am trying to do is use alpha blending in XNA to make part of a drawn texture transparent. So for instance, I clear the screen to some color, lets say Blue. Then I draw a texture that is red. Finally I draw a texture that is just a radial gradient from completely transparent in the center to completely black at the edge. What I want is the Red texture drawn earlier to be transparent in the same places as the radial gradient texture. So you should be able to see the blue back ground through the red texture. I thought that this would work. GraphicsDevice.Clear(Color.CornflowerBlue); spriteBatch.Begin(SpriteBlendMode.None); spriteBatch.Draw(bg, new Vector2(0, 0), Color.White); spriteBatch.End(); spriteBatch.Begin(SpriteBlendMode.None); GraphicsDevice.RenderState.AlphaBlendEnable = true; GraphicsDevice.RenderState.AlphaSourceBlend = Blend.One; GraphicsDevice.RenderState.AlphaDestinationBlend = Blend.Zero; GraphicsDevice.RenderState.SourceBlend = Blend.Zero; GraphicsDevice.RenderState.DestinationBlend = Blend.One; GraphicsDevice.RenderState.BlendFunction = BlendFunction.Add; spriteBatch.Draw(circle, new Vector2(0, 0), Color.White); spriteBatch.End(); GraphicsDevice.RenderState.AlphaBlendEnable = false; But it just seems to ignore all my RenderState settings. I also tried setting the SpriteBlendMode to AlphaBlend. It blends the textures, but that is not the effect I want. Any help would be appreciated.

  • Using Google Maps v3, PHP and Json to plot markers

    - by bateman_ap
    Hi, I am creating a map using the new(ish) v3 of the Google Maps API I have managed to get a map displaying using code as below: var myLatlng = new google.maps.LatLng(50.8194000,-0.1363000); var myOptions = { zoom: 14, center: myLatlng, mapTypeControl: false, scrollwheel: false, mapTypeId: google.maps.MapTypeId.ROADMAP }; var map = new google.maps.Map(document.getElementById("location-map"), myOptions); However I now want to add a number of markers I have stored in a PHP array. The Array currently looks like this if I print it out to screen: Array ( [0] => Array ( [poiUid] => 20 [poiName] => Brighton Cineworld [poiCode] => brighton-cineworld [poiLon] => -0.100450 [poiLat] => 50.810780 [poiType] => Cinemas ) [1] => Array ( [poiUid] => 21 [poiName] => Brighton Odeon [poiCode] => brighton-odeon [poiLon] => -0.144420 [poiLat] => 50.821860 [poiType] => Cinemas ) ) All the reading I have done so far suggests I turn this into JSON by using json_encode If I run the Array though this and echo it to the screen I get: [{"poiUid":"20","poiName":"Brighton Cineworld","poiCode":"brighton-cineworld","poiLon":"-0.100450","poiLat":"50.810780","poiType":"Cinemas"},{"poiUid":"21","poiName":"Brighton Odeon","poiCode":"brighton-odeon","poiLon":"-0.144420","poiLat":"50.821860","poiType":"Cinemas"}] The bit now is where I am struggling, I am not sure the encoded array is what I need to start populating markers, I think I need something like the code below but not sure how to add the markers from my passed through JSON var locations = $jsonPoiArray; for (var i = 0;i < locations.length; i += 1) { // Create a new marker };

  • iPhone Device 3.1 SDK Breaks vertical alignment of UITableViewCellStyleValue1 textLabel

    - by user171089
    Can anyone provide an explanation for the following phenomenon? As of the iPhone Device 3.1 SDK, I've found that if a UITableViewCell is of style UITableViewCellStyleValue1 and its detailTextLabel.text is unassigned, then the textLabel does not display in the center of the cell as would be expected. One notable caveat is that this only happens for me when I'm testing on the Device – the iPhone Simulator 3.1 SDK displays the cells correctly. Also, this is not a problem when using the iPhone Device 3.0 SDK. Below is a simple UITableView subclass implementation that demonstrates the problem. @implementation BuggyTableViewController #pragma mark Table view methods // Customize the number of rows in the table view. - (NSInteger)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView numberOfRowsInSection:(NSInteger)section { return 3; } // Customize the appearance of table view cells. - (UITableViewCell *)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView cellForRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath { static NSString *CellIdentifier = @"Cell"; UITableViewCell *cell = [tableView dequeueReusableCellWithIdentifier:CellIdentifier]; if (cell == nil) { cell = [[[UITableViewCell alloc] initWithStyle:UITableViewCellStyleValue1 reuseIdentifier:CellIdentifier] autorelease]; } switch (indexPath.row) { case 0: cell.textLabel.text = @"detailTextLabel.text unassigned"; break; case 1: cell.textLabel.text = @"detailTextLabel.text = @\"\""; cell.detailTextLabel.text = @""; break; case 2: cell.textLabel.text = @"detailTextLabel.text = @\"A\""; cell.detailTextLabel.text = @"A"; break; default: break; } return cell; } @end

  • Matplotlib pick event order for overlapping artists

    - by Ajean
    I'm hitting a very strange issue with matplotlib pick events. I have two artists that are both pickable and are non-overlapping to begin with ("holes" and "pegs"). When I pick one of them, during the event handling I move the other one to where I just clicked (moving a "peg" into the "hole"). Then, without doing anything else, a pick event from the moved artist (the peg) is generated even though it wasn't there when the first event was generated. My only explanation for it is that somehow the event manager is still moving through artist layers when the event is processed, and therefore hits the second artist after it is moved under the cursor. So then my question is - how do pick events (or any events for that matter) iterate through overlapping artists on the canvas, and is there a way to control it? I think I would get my desired behavior if it moved from the top down always (rather than bottom up or randomly). I haven't been able to find sufficient enough documentation, and a lengthy search on SO has not revealed this exact issue. Below is a working example that illustrates the problem, with PathCollections from scatter as pegs and holes: import matplotlib.pyplot as plt import sys class peg_tester(): def __init__(self): self.fig = plt.figure(figsize=(3,1)) self.ax = self.fig.add_axes([0,0,1,1]) self.ax.set_xlim([-0.5,2.5]) self.ax.set_ylim([-0.25,0.25]) self.ax.text(-0.4, 0.15, 'One click on the hole, and I get 2 events not 1', fontsize=8) self.holes = self.ax.scatter([1], [0], color='black', picker=0) self.pegs = self.ax.scatter([0], [0], s=100, facecolor='#dd8800', edgecolor='black', picker=0) self.fig.canvas.mpl_connect('pick_event', self.handler) plt.show() def handler(self, event): if event.artist is self.holes: # If I get a hole event, then move a peg (to that hole) ... # but then I get a peg event also with no extra clicks! offs = self.pegs.get_offsets() offs[0,:] = [1,0] # Moves left peg to the middle self.pegs.set_offsets(offs) self.fig.canvas.draw() print 'picked a hole, moving left peg to center' elif event.artist is self.pegs: print 'picked a peg' sys.stdout.flush() # Necessary when in ipython qtconsole if __name__ == "__main__": pt = peg_tester() I have tried setting the zorder to make the pegs always above the holes, but that doesn't change how the pick events are generated, and particularly this funny phantom event.

  • FullCalendar and events: function

    - by Ernest
    I am trying to display my events from a MySQL database. I'm using the events function. My XML file being returned is pretty basic. I've looked at all of the FullCalendar questions and most of them talk about JSON and point to the documentation for JSON. I can't use JSON. I have to go XML. Can you tell me where I'm off. Here is a sample of what my xml looks like: Grow Your Business on the Web 2010-06-05T9:30 2010-06-05T12:30 O The whole file is prefaced with a tag and closed with a tag. My jquery is as follows: $(document).ready(function() { $('#calendar').fullCalendar({ height: 550, theme: true, header: { left: 'prev,next today', center: 'title', right: 'month,agendaWeek,agendaDay' }, editable: true, events: function(start, end, callback) { $.ajax({ url: 'ncludeFiles/sbdp-cal-xml.php', dataType: 'xml', data: { // our hypothetical feed requires UNIX timestamps start: Math.round(start.getTime() / 1000), end: Math.round(end.getTime() / 1000) }, success: function(doc) { var events = []; $(doc).find('event').each(function() { events.push({ title: $(this).attr('title'), start: $(this).attr('start'), end: $(this).attr('end'), className: $(this).attr('className'), url: $(this).attr('url') }); }); callback(events); } }); } }); }); I'd appreciate any help you could give me. Thanks!

  • Custom activity in WF 4.0: WorkflowItemsPresenter wont show converted array

    Hi There, we have an Array which is converted via a Binded Converter: else if (TTools.IsOfBaseClass(value.GetType(), typeof(System.Activities.Presentation.Model.ModelItemCollection))) { OurBaseClass[] test = (value as ModelItemCollection).GetCurrentValue() as OurBaseClass[]; List<OurBaseClass> listOfArray = new List<OurBaseClass>(); foreach (OurBaseClass item in test) { listOfArray.Add(item); } return listOfArray; } the convertion works well but it is not shown in our dynamically gui gui code with bindings: <sap:WorkflowItemsPresenter xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation" xmlns:sap="clr-namespace:System.Activities.Presentation;assembly=System.Activities.Presentation" Grid.Column="0" Name="MyArray" Items="{Binding Path=ModelItem.MyArray}" MinWidth="150" Margin="0"> <sap:WorkflowItemsPresenter.SpacerTemplate > <DataTemplate> <TextBlock Foreground="DarkGray" Margin="30">..</TextBlock> </DataTemplate> </sap:WorkflowItemsPresenter.SpacerTemplate> <sap:WorkflowItemsPresenter.ItemsPanel> <ItemsPanelTemplate> <StackPanel Orientation="Vertical" HorizontalAlignment="Center" Margin="0"/> </ItemsPanelTemplate> </sap:WorkflowItemsPresenter.ItemsPanel> </sap:WorkflowItemsPresenter> Why is the gui not shown as a List??? it works well without converter. • iPhone: CoreGraphics and memory management

    - by carloe
    Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong here? I use this method to flip through pages in a PDF. But something in the code seems to not be released properly because every-time I pull a PDF page that contains an image my memory footprint increases. I am fairly new to CoreGraphics, and can't for the life of me figure out where this method would leak memory. -(UIImage *)pageAtIndex:(NSInteger)pageNumber withWidth:(CGFloat)width andHeight:(CGFloat)height { if((pageNumber>0) && (pageNumber<=pageCount)) { CGFloat scaleRatio; // multiplier by which the PDF Page will be scaled UIGraphicsBeginImageContext(CGSizeMake(width, height)); CGContextRef context = UIGraphicsGetCurrentContext(); CGPDFPageRef page = CGPDFDocumentGetPage(pdf, pageNumber); CGRect pageRect = CGPDFPageGetBoxRect(page, kCGPDFBleedBox); //Figure out the orientation of the PDF page and set the scaleRatio accordingly if(pageRect.size.width/pageRect.size.height < 1.0) { scaleRatio = height/pageRect.size.height; } else { scaleRatio = width/pageRect.size.width; } //Calculate the offset to center the image CGFloat xOffset = 0.0; CGFloat yOffset = height; if(pageRect.size.width*scaleRatio<width) { xOffset = (width/2)-(pageRect.size.width*scaleRatio/2); } else { yOffset = height-((height/2)-(pageRect.size.height*scaleRatio/2)); } CGContextTranslateCTM(context, xOffset, yOffset); CGContextScaleCTM(context, 1.0, -1.0); CGContextSaveGState(context); CGAffineTransform pdfTransform = CGPDFPageGetDrawingTransform(page, kCGPDFBleedBox, CGRectMake(0, 0, pageRect.size.width, pageRect.size.height), 0, true); pdfTransform = CGAffineTransformScale(pdfTransform, scaleRatio, scaleRatio); CGContextConcatCTM(context, pdfTransform); CGContextDrawPDFPage(context, page); UIImage *tempImage = [UIGraphicsGetImageFromCurrentImageContext() retain]; CGContextRestoreGState(context); UIGraphicsEndPDFContext(); UIGraphicsEndImageContext(); return tempImage; } return nil; }

  • Flex 3 : UIComponent.addChild issue

    - by Frank
    Hello SOers, I've run into a nice problem with the UIComponent.addChild(...) function. First of all, I'm using ESRI Api for Flex. In this API you find a class called Graphic that inherits UIComponent. Basically, I'm trying to add, as a child, a Graphic 'g' to another graphic 'parent'. So that when you delete the 'parent' graphic the 'g' graphic deletes as well. private function writeMeasurements(parent:Graphic):void { var g:Graphic; if(parent.geometry.extent != null) g = new Graphic(parent.geometry.extent.center); else g = new Graphic(parent.geometry); g.initialize(); g.name = UIDUtil.createUID(); g.symbol = txtSym; graphicsLayer.add(g); parent.addChild(g); } graphicsLayer class This code actually runs pretty fine. The problem is after... it's like if the addChild function was asynchronious. This is the error I get : TypeError: Error #1009: Il est impossible d'accéder à la propriété ou à la méthode d'une référence d'objet nul. at com.esri.ags::Graphic/updateDisplayList()[C:\checkout\flex_api\api\src\com\esri\ags\Graphic.as:346] at mx.core::UIComponent/validateDisplayList() at mx.managers::LayoutManager/validateDisplayList() at mx.managers::LayoutManager/doPhasedInstantiation() at Function/http://adobe.com/AS3/2006/builtin::apply() at mx.core::UIComponent/callLaterDispatcher2() at mx.core::UIComponent/callLaterDispatcher() I know this is a very specific question, but I think you guys are the BEST! Thanks.

  • Magento: Getting Product Url's for Products within a Grouped Product

    - by Nathan
    For a grouped product, I would like to display a link to the simple products it is composed of. For example, if I have a grouped product called Dining Set composed of plates, knives, forks, etc. I'd like each of the subproducts to have a link to that subproduct (click plates goes to the Simple Product for plates) <?php foreach ($_associatedProducts as $_item): ?> <tr> <td><?php echo $this->htmlEscape($_item->getName()) ?></td> <td class="a-right"> <?php echo $this->getPriceHtml($_item, true) ?> </td> <?php if ($_product->isSaleable()): ?> <td class="a-center"> <?php if ($_item->isSaleable()) : ?> <a href="<?php $_item->getProductUrl() ?>">View</a> <?php else: ?> <p class="availability"><span class="out-of-stock"><?php echo $this->__('Out of stock.') ?></span></p> <?php endif; ?> </td> <?php endif; ?> </tr> <?php endforeach; ?> This is a code snippet from the grouped.phtml file in app/design/frontend/blank/default/template/catalog/product/view/type/grouped.phtml In particular the line that has $_item-getProductUrl() This does not work, and I don't know the code needed to get the url for this associated product item. If anyone could help here it would be much appreciated. Also, where on earth can I find the method's available (and how they're used) for Products or Categories or $_item and the like? • Google maps API V3 code to V2 help.

    - by abemonkey
    I've started working on a project to inject markers into a map with jQuery by looping through rows on a table in the page. After getting it working I realized that I was accessing the V3 API and using V3 syntax. I've been beating my head against a wall trying to get this working in google maps API V2. If someone could please take a look at my code and help that would be great! Thanks! You can see my little test in action at www.axtsweapons.com/maptest.html. Here is the JS code: <script type="text/javascript"> $(function() { var latlng = new google.maps.LatLng(45.440000,-122.630000); var settings = { zoom: 12, center: latlng, disableDefaultUI: false, mapTypeControl:false, mapTypeId: google.maps.MapTypeId.ROADMAP }; var map = new google.maps.Map(document.getElementById("map_canvas"), settings); $('tr').each(function(i) { var the_marker = new google.maps.Marker({ title: $(this).find('.views-field-title').text(), map: map, clickable: true, position: new google.maps.LatLng( parseFloat($(this).find('.views-field-latitude').text()), parseFloat($(this).find('.views-field-longitude').text()) ) }); var bounds = new google.maps.LatLngBounds(); var infowindow = new google.maps.InfoWindow({ content: $(this).find('.views-field-title').text() + $(this).find('.adr').text() }); new google.maps.event.addListener(the_marker, 'click', function() { infowindow.close(); infowindow.open(map, the_marker); }); }); }); </script>

  • problems with scrolling a java TextArea

    - by Jonathan
    All, I am running into an issue using JTextArea and JScrollPane. For some reason the scroll pane appears to not recognize the last line in the document, and will only scroll down to the line before it. The scroll bar does not even change to a state where I can slide it until the lines in the document are two greater than the number of lines the textArea shows (it should happen as soon as it is one greater). Has anyone run into this before? What would be a good solution (I want to avoid having to add an extra 'blank' line to the end of the document, which I would have to remove every time I add a new line)? Here is how I instantiate the TextArea and ScrollPane: JFrame frame = new JFrame("Java Chat Program"); frame.setDefaultCloseOperation(JFrame.EXIT_ON_CLOSE); Container pane = frame.getContentPane(); if (!(pane.getLayout() instanceof BorderLayout)) { System.err.println("Error: UI Container does not implement BorderLayout."); System.exit(-1); } textArea = new JTextArea(); textArea.setPreferredSize(new Dimension(500, 100)); textArea.setEditable(false); textArea.setLineWrap(true); textArea.setWrapStyleWord(true); JScrollPane scroller = new JScrollPane(textArea); scroller.setVerticalScrollBarPolicy(ScrollPaneConstants.VERTICAL_SCROLLBAR_ALWAYS); pane.add(scroller, BorderLayout.CENTER); Here is the method I use to add a new line to textArea: public void println(String a) { textArea.append(" "+a+"\n"); textArea.setCaretPosition(textArea.getDocument().getLength()); } Thanks for your help, Jonathan EDIT: Also, as a side note, with the current code I have to manually scroll down. I assumed that setCaretPosition(doc.getLength()) in the println(line) method would automatically set the page to the bottom after a line is entered... Should that be the case, or do I need to do something differently?

  • How to make a UITextField move up when keyboard is present

    - by philfreo
    EDIT: Over 1k views with 3 upvotes? If this question is helpful, vote it up :) With the iPhone SDK: I have a UIView with UITextFields that brings up a keyboard. I need it to be able to: Allow scrolling of the contents of the UIScrollView to see the other text fields once the keyboard is brought up Automatically "jump" (by scrolling up) or shortening I know that I need a UIScrollView. I've tried changing the class of my UIView to a UIScrollView but I'm still unable to scroll the textboxes up or down. Do I need both a UIView and a UIScrollView? Does one go inside the other? [EDIT: I now know that you want a UIView inside of a UIScrollView, and the trick is to programatically set the content size of the UIScrollView to the frame size of the UIView.] Then what needs to be implemented in order to automatically scroll to the active text field? Ideally as much of the setup of the components as possible will be done in Interface Builder. I'd like to only write code for what needs it. Note: the UIView (or UIScrollView) that I'm working with is brought up by a tabbar (UITabBar), which needs to function as normal. Edit: I am adding the scroll bar just for when the keyboard comes up. Even though it's not needed, I feel like it provides a better interface because then the user can scroll and change textboxes, for example. I've got it working where I change the frame size of the UIScrollView when the keyboard goes up and down. I'm simply using: -(void)textFieldDidBeginEditing:(UITextField *)textField { //Keyboard becomes visible scrollView.frame = CGRectMake(scrollView.frame.origin.x, scrollView.frame.origin.y, scrollView.frame.size.width, scrollView.frame.size.height - 215 + 50); //resize } -(void)textFieldDidEndEditing:(UITextField *)textField { //keyboard will hide scrollView.frame = CGRectMake(scrollView.frame.origin.x, scrollView.frame.origin.y, scrollView.frame.size.width, scrollView.frame.size.height + 215 - 50); //resize } However this doesn't automatically "move up" or center the lower text fields in the visible area, which is what I would really like.

  • Integrate Google Maps API into an iPhone app

    - by Corey Floyd
    Update: iPhone SDk 3.0 now addresses the question here, however the NDA prevents any in depth discussion. Log in to the iPhone Dev Center if you need more info. Ok, I have to admit I'm a little lost here. I am fairly comfortable with Cocoa, but am having trouble picking up the bit of javascript needed to solve this problem. I am trying to send a request to Google for a reverse geo code. I have looked over the Google documentation I have viewed here: http://code.google.com/apis/maps/documentation/index.html http://code.google.com/apis/maps/documentation/geocoding/ Even after a rough reading, I am missing a basic concept: How do I talk to google? In some examples, they show a url being sent to google (which seems easy enough), but in others they show javascript. It seems for reverse geocoding, the request might be be harder than sending the url with some parameters (but I hope I am wrong). Can someone point me to the correct way to make a request? (In objective-C, so I can wrap my head around it)

  • Geolocation Firefox accurate than iPhone Safari?

    - by johnz
    I just tested Geolocation on Firefox 3.6 and iPhone Safari (os 3.1.3), the result is interesting, firefox is more accurate than safari. any one got idea how to make iPhone Safari result more accurate. this is the code for testing: navigator.geolocation.getCurrentPosition(handler, {enableHighAccuracy: true}); function handler(location) { var message = document.getElementById("message"); message.innerHTML = "<img src='http://maps.google.com/staticmap?sensor=true&center=" + location.coords.latitude + "," + location.coords.longitude + "&size=300x300&maptype=street&zoom=16&key=ABQIAAAAZrVtlT2df2pkfI_RZB_6WBRWTAkRKJS7h1XjKaOTqACHuw1n0BT5cATkkKFnZNGHmrwUw9IilQK0Eg' />"; message.innerHTML+="<p>Longitude: " + location.coords.longitude + "</p>"; message.innerHTML+="<p>Latitude: " + location.coords.latitude + "</p>"; message.innerHTML += "<p>Accuracy: " + location.coords.accuracy + "</p>"; // call the function with my current lat/lon getPlaceFromFlickr(location.coords.latitude, location.coords.longitude, 'output'); } . . test from here

  • Pixel Perfect Collision Detection in HTML5 Canvas

    - by Armin Ronacher
    Hi, I want to check a collision between two Sprites in HTML5 canvas. So for the sake of the discussion, let's assume that both sprites are IMG objects and a collision means that the alpha channel is not 0. Now both of these sprites can have a rotation around the object's center but no other transformation in case this makes this any easier. Now the obvious solution I came up with would be this: calculate the transformation matrix for both figure out a rough estimation of the area where the code should test (like offset of both + calculated extra space for the rotation) for all the pixels in the intersecting rectangle, transform the coordinate and test the image at the calculated position (rounded to nearest neighbor) for the alpha channel. Then abort on first hit. The problem I see with that is that a) there are no matrix classes in JavaScript which means I have to do that in JavaScript which could be quite slow, I have to test for collisions every frame which makes this pretty expensive. Furthermore I have to replicate something I already have to do on drawing (or what canvas does for me, setting up the matrices). I wonder if I'm missing anything here and if there is an easier solution for collision detection.

    - by viky
    I want to style my ListBox and displaying some Border around it, i want to hide this Border when ListBox gets focus, <Trigger Property="IsFocused" Value="True"> <Setter Property="Visibility" TargetName="border" Value="Collapsed"/> </Trigger> Same thing i m using in TextBox also and it is working properly, why this Trigger not working for ListBox? Edit: i am having this Style for my ListBox <ControlTemplate TargetType="{x:Type local:ListBox}"> <Border SnapsToDevicePixels="true" x:Name="Bd" CornerRadius="5" Background="{TemplateBinding Background}" BorderBrush="{TemplateBinding BorderBrush}" BorderThickness="{TemplateBinding BorderThickness}" Padding="1"> <Grid> <local:ScrollViewer Focusable="false" Padding="{TemplateBinding Padding}"> <ItemsPresenter SnapsToDevicePixels="{TemplateBinding SnapsToDevicePixels}"/> </local:ScrollViewer> <Border CornerRadius="5" Background="Red" x:Name="border"> <TextBlock VerticalAlignment="Center" FontWeight="Bold" Foreground="White" Text="{TemplateBinding Message}" FontFamily="Courier New" /> </Border> </Grid> </Border> </DockPanel> <ControlTemplate.Triggers> <Trigger Property="IsFocused" Value="True"> <Setter Property="Visibility" TargetName="border" Value="Collapsed"/> </Trigger> <Trigger Property="IsEnabled" Value="false"> <Setter Property="Background" TargetName="Bd" Value="{DynamicResource {x:Static SystemColors.ControlBrushKey}}"/> </Trigger> <Trigger Property="IsGrouping" Value="true"> <Setter Property="ScrollViewer.CanContentScroll" Value="false"/> </Trigger> </ControlTemplate.Triggers>

  • Bing maps silverlight control pushpin scaling problems.

    - by Rares Musina
    Baiscally my problem is that i've adapted a piece of code found here http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/vemapcontroldev/thread/62e70670-f306-4bb7-8684-549979af91c1 which does exactly what I want it to do, that is scale some pushpin images according to the map's zoom level. The only problem is that I've adapted this code to run with the bing maps silverlight control (not virtual earth like in the original example) and now the images scale correclty, but they are repositioned and only reach the desired position when my zoom level is maximum. Any idea why? Help will be greatly appreciated :) Modified code below: var layer = new MapLayer(); map.AddChild(layer); //Sydney layer.AddChild(new Pin { ImageSource = new BitmapImage(new Uri("pin.png", UriKind.Relative)), MapInstance = map }, new Location(-33.86643, 151.2062), PositionMethod.Center); becomes something like layer.AddChild(new Pin { ImageSource = new BitmapImage(new Uri("pin.png", UriKind.Relative)), MapInstance = map }, new Location(-33.92485, 18.43883), PositionOrigin.BottomCenter); I am assuming it has something to do with a different way in which bing maps anchors its UIelements. Details on that are also very userful. Thank you!

  • sIfr (3.436) and IE8 - My h1 and h2 are flickering

    - by André
    I am using sIfr (3.436) for my H1 and H2 tags. In IE8 the text flickers and jumps around alot. See example: http://www.addenergy.no/drilling-production/category352.html I have tried various font-tuning as explained at Wiki.Novemberborn, but can't get a good result. Any help to lead in the right direction is appreciated! The sifr-config.js looks like this (h1/h2 is basically the same): sIFR.fitExactly = true; sIFR.fixWrap = true; sIFR.forceWidth = true; sIFR.replace(fedraSerif, { selector: '#placeholder-top h1', css: '.sIFR-root { background-color: #FFFFFF; color: #000000; }', ratios: [8, (...), 1.26] }); And sifr.css (bottom): @media screen { .sIFR-active #placeholder-top h1 { visibility: hidden; font-family: Verdana; font-size:2.5em; line-height:40px; } .sIFR-active #placeholder-top h2 { visibility: hidden; font-family: Verdana; font-size:2em; line-height:30px; } } My style.css (general for the site has): html, body { font-family: Verdana, Arial, Sans-serif; margin: 0; padding: 0; color: #333; background: #cccccc url('images/background.gif') repeat-y top center; } h1 { font-size: 35px; line-height: 40px; } #placeholder-top h1 { margin: 20px 120px 10px 5px; font-size:2.5em; display:block; line-height: 40px; } h2 { line-height: 30px; color: #009bdb; } #placeholder-top h2 { margin: 0px 120px 20px 5px; font-size:2em; display:block; line-height: 30px; }

  • jQuery / jEditable and jQuery UI Dialog. Re-populating table cell.

    - by solefald
    Hello, this is my first time using JS, so i really have no idea what i am doing. I have a table with data, and using jEditable to allow a user to edit the data and POST it to my php script. When user hits "Save", it opens jQuery UI with the data from php script and it seems to work fine, however, if the user hits Cancel or Esc to close the jQuery UI dialog, they and up back on the page, but the cell they tried to edit is now completely empty. How do i get the cell re-populated? Thank you! $(".editable_textarea").editable("/path/to/my/scrip.php", { indicator : "<img src='/images/indicator.gif'>", type : 'textarea', submitdata: { _method: "post", uri: "<?php echo $this->uri->segment(3); ?>" }, select : false, submit : 'Save', cancel : 'Cancel', tooltip : "Click to edit...", cssclass : "editable", onblur: "cancel", cssclass: "edit_destination", callback: function(value, settings) { $(this).dialog({ autoOpen: true, width: 400, modal: true, position: "center", resizable: false, draggable: false, title: "Pending Changes", buttons: { "Cancel": function() { $(this).dialog("close"); }, "Confirm Changes": function() { document.findSameDestination.submit(); } } }); $('form#findSameDestination').submit(function(){ $(this).dialog('open'); return false; }); $(this).editable("disable"); }, data: function(value, settings) { var retval = value.replace(/<br[\s\/]?>/gi, '\n'); retval = retval.replace(/(<([^>]+)>)/gi, ''); return retval; } });
