• Multiple merchant accounts with Activemerchant gem.

  I am developing a rails site that will allow a group of merchants (5 - 10) to accept credit card orders online. I plan on using the Activemerchant gem to handle the processing. In this case, each merchant will have their own merchant accounts to handle the payments. Storing banking information like that is not something I am a fan of. This could be solved by queing orders and allowing the merchant to log in to the site, input their credentials and process the order. However, if I go that route then it seems to me that I would have to store the customers' credit card information temporarily until the merchant has the opportunity to log in and process the order, which to me is the greater evil. Has anyone dealt with this situation? If so, what are the options available and what pitfalls should I look out for? In my mind, security customer credit card information is priority number one with the merchant account information a close second.

  I'm trying to create a design for a list that looks like (and mostly behaves like) the call log, like shown here: I don't need all the design, but what I'm trying to achieve is the two-columned design with the splitter in-between, and the behavior that if I click on the main item (the left part) one thing happens (in this case, you open some details about the call), and if you press the outer right part something else happens (you call the contact). I'm pretty new to android, but I've managed to do most of the designs I wanted so far, so I don't need the entire layout for this one, only the part that does the splitting and the splitter. And if possible it would be nice to know how to map the clicks appropriately, though I think I might be able to find that out by my self.

  Hi I am trying to integrate Django-Paypal onto a site, where once the customer makes a payment I need to send a dynamic URL from which the user can download some specific information. I am registering all users to a URL which allows them to buy the document. The URL which can only be accessed by a registered user with a verified email ids using django-registration, allows the user to connect to paypal and make payment. How do I capture the signal and verify which user has made the payment for which product he/she is purchased, based on this information 1) I need to know two information, which user made the payment, and for which product did he or she make the payment? 2) Only if I have these information can I send the right UR:L by email. Any help appreciated. I am not very sure how django-signals work. What all details does payment_was_successful signal return? I am using IPN

  Designing forms has always been fun, but getting them to send email on the server side is another story. I have used various email scripts (dynaform,phpmailer, etc), and have experienced a ton of problems. So here is the site I am working on: Contact On the Right. It is very basic: no validation, no required fields. I simply need anything that is entered to be sent back to me. Does anyone know of any BASIC PHP form processing scripts, or have a few lines of code that would work here? I'm not a PHP guy, so I am struggling! Thanks in advance.

• Android AlertDialog with dynamically changing text on every request

  I want to show an AlertDialog with one option that might change on every request. So for example at one time I want to show the option "add to contacts" while another time it should be "remove from contacts". My code does work on the first time, however Android seems to cache the AlertDialog so that onCreateDialog is not executed next time. Therefore the option doesnt change anymore. Can I prevent this caching, or is there just another way of changing the option? I am working with SDK 1.5 but using 1.1. @Override protected Dialog onCreateDialog(final int id) { ...   I have the following ER Diagram for a bank database - customers may have several accounts, accounts may be held jointly by several customers, and each customer is associated with an account set and accounts are members of one or more account sets. What design rules are violated? What modifications should be made and why? So far, a few flaws I'm not sure about are: 1) Redundant owner-address attribute in AcctSets Entity. 2) This ER does not include accounts with multiple owners with different addresses. My Question is: How would I go about fixing these flaws and/or other flaws that I may be missing from my analysis? Thanks!

  Hello everybody, We are developing an ASP.NET MVC Application that currently uses it's own databse ApplicationData for the domain models and another one Membership for the user management / membership provider. We do access restrictions using data-annotations in our controllers. [Authorize(Roles = "administrators, managers")] This worked great for simple use cases. As we are scaling our application our customer wants to restrict specific users to access specific areas of our ApplicationData database. Each of our products contains a foreign key referring to the region the product was assembled in. A user story would be: Users in the role NewYorkManagers should only be able to edit / see products that are assembled in New York. We created a placeholder table UserRightsRegions that contains the UserId and the RegionId. How can I link both the ApplicationData and the Membership databases in order to work properly / having cross-database-key-references? (Is something like this even possible?) All help is more than appreciated!

• Security exception with ASP.NET AJAX toolkit

  I've got an ASP.NET WebForms app that I've written, which uses the ASP.NET AJAX Toolkit. I've put the MultiView control onto the web form, and it worked fine, when I had it under Vista. Well, I had to replace my machine (HD failed) and I went to Windows 7 Ultimate. I tried copying the ASP.NET app from the system (before it finally failed for good) and put it onto the Windows 7 machine. I can bring up the app fine, go to all pages, but the one with these controls on it. When I do I get the following error: Security Exception Description: The application attempted to perform an operation not allowed by the security policy. To grant this application the required permission please contact your system administrator or change the application's trust level in the configuration file. Exception Details: System.Security.SecurityException: Request for the permission of type 'System.Web.AspNetHostingPermission, System, Version=2.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089' failed. What's going on? How do I fix it?

  If I have a paid app on Android Market, will my merchant API callback URL get a hit when the customer goes to check out? I am wondering how merchants/vendors/developers secure their applications for android market. I have used google checkout before to implement a custom integration, so I understand how that all works. What I do not see anywhere that I have looked is what, if any, integration does the merchant/developer have with the Android Market checkout process? I understand that the market uses google checkout, but in that case the market hosts the checkout process and not the merchant, so it's not clear whether they give your URL a call. So where is the hook? Am I right in assuming it is the merchant API callback URL?

In this theme they have a share button that I like the functionality of. I want to replicate the button in the front section of the site within the gallery pages. • What is the problem with the logic in my UPDATE statement?

  Hello, I would appreciate some help with an UPDATE statement. I want to update tblOrderHead with the content from tblCustomer where the intDocumentNo corresponds to the parameter @intDocumentNo. But when I run the my statement, the order table is only updated with the content from the first row of the customer table. What is the problem with my logic? I use Microsoft SQL Server.   Hello, C# 2008 I am not sure how much work there is to inheriting from the web client class. Currently I am using it in my project. And I can't change to anything else. The customer would like to have a timeout after a certain period of time. The web client doesn't have this. So rather than re-invent the wheel, I am thinking of inheriting from the web client and adding this property. Do you think this is a suitable solution? Could it mean more work just to add this.   I'm pre-packaging a JSP web-app that relies on some file path settings found within web.xml. These settings are unknown at packaging time, because they reference a path the customer will set when deploying the entire application (of which the web-app is a management interface). It seems that the easiest way to avoid tokens and file modifications in my installer script, is to ask the user for an install location, set this location as an environment variable (e.g JAVA_HOME), and have web.xml always reference that variable. Is there a way to reference an environment variable value from within web.xml? Google searches lead to the J2EE method of SETTING environment variables from ejb xml files.   How to use jasper reports to print something only on the first page. I am using jasper reports for printing invoices and only on the 1st page I need to print the Remit Payment To section with the address following it. Customer address is also present there. The way it is currently designed is that this goes into pageFooter section and we use printWhenExpression(PAGE_NUMBER = 1) so that this only gets printed on the 1st page of the invoice. But the downside of this approach is that the jasper engine reserves the size equivalent of the page footer on all the other pages (1..n) of the invoice. So we are able to use only about 2/3 rd of all pages. Remaining 1/3rd page which is for page footer is blank for all pages except the 1st page. This increases the number of pages. Any ideas for fixing this issue?

  I am looking for a way of introducing random noise into my scoring function, and I'm at a loss on how to best proceed. Some background: We use Solr for a web application that manages large-ish sets of photos for agencies. One customer has an interesting requirement for scoring: 'quality' field, maintained by editors, from 1 (highest) to 3 (lowest); 'date' field, boosting more recent photos; I would probably use a logarithmic function; However, due to how the stock photo market works, this will likely result in many similar photos appearing together. Their request is to give 'quality' a large boost, but introduce some randomness so that photos will not appear in a strict date order. Any idea? EDITED: a key requirement is to have "stable" query results: if I search twice for "tropical island" I can get a slightly different result set, but if I ask for the first page, then the second, then the first, I'd better get the same results :)

The 'product id' determines what movie, platform etc each item is. My question is: When creating a form for the Loan_Items table, how can I populate the loanItem_cost field (so it is stored) whenever a new Loan_Item record is added? I need to store it as the cost of the item (product_cost) may change over time and I'd like to record what the customer paid at the time the loan was made. Thanks in advance

• How do I get a full Magento session in an external script? (Specifically, Catalog Rules)

  I'm running an external script that loads up a Magento session. Within that script, I'm loading products and grabbing a bunch of properties. The one issue is that getFinalPrice() does not apply the catalog rules that apply to the product. I'm doing everything I know to set the session, even a bunch of stuff that I think is superfluous. Nothing seems to get these rules applied.   We are running several ASP.NET applications (one per customer) based on our custom framework (which just extend ASP.NET). Each web application use its own database (Initial Catalog in the term of connection string). Now we would like to add workflow capability to the applications (to our framework respectively). The particular workflows will be the same for all the applications only some initial settings of each workflow can vary, e.g. in one application the e-mail will be send to the user X, but in other application to the user Y. The question is if we can install one workflow engine (with one database for persistence) and share this for all workflows in all web applications. If so, how then workflow engine get knows the particular workflow belongs to which web application? Should we store some application identifier somewhere in workflow? Thanks for suggestions!

• mouseover detection in NSTableView's NSCell?

  I am wanting to change the text background color on a tableview's cell when it is hovered upon, similar to how AddressBook "highlights" the label of a contact's element when you mouseover the label names. However I cannot figure out how to accomplish... detecting a mouseover on a particular NSCell and... After detecting the cell his hovered upon, highlighting the text in that cell (not highlighting the entire row as if the user selected that row) As NSCell is not a subclass of NSView this seems to be a very difficult task. Any example of this or explanation on how this might be done would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
