• audio error in vmware running mac os x

  simple synchronous loading of an audio file (.mp3) in a cocos2d app makes my vmware disconnect the sound. the error is display bottom right, saying 'error in creating sound stream; sound is disconnected' i read that it might be cause of my vmware's version (mine is 8) but I'm looking for a fix, not to downgrade to another version. before i get that error, the sound on the system works just fine (youtube, etc) the exact code im calling is.. The problem is only when I choose Multi-threaded DLL (/MD). I'm releasing a dll, so should be /MD right?

I'm really at my wits end with this, help is very much appreciated thank you...

  Using http://web-sniffer.net/, I'm seeing a 500 internal error when accessing the https://www version of my site (https://moblized.com). However that URL loads perfectly fine with no errors. I was checking this because Google Webmaster is showing a bunch of 500 errors on my site. Also just noticed that I get a 200 success error if sniffing with HTTP 1.0, but a 500 with HTTP 1.1 Note: All other URL versions 301 redirect to https://www, eg. http://www , https:// , http:// FIXED: For any curious parties, there was one PHP bug that was causing a fatal error, but was still allowing the page to load. Turning on php_debug helped...

• Only want "Required field" error to appear ONCE in ASP.NET Validation Summary

  I have a form with several fields with a RequiredFieldValidator on them. If any of these fields are not filled in I only want the message "Please enter the items marked with an asterisk" to appear once in the ValidationSummary control and an asterisk to appear next to each field. I have done this using the method here. i.e. by setting Text to "*" and ValidationSummary.HeaderText to my message. Great, but no cigar as I also have other fields with other validators e.g. a RegEx for an Email field. This means that if all the required fields are entered but the email is incorrect, the ValidationSummary with "Please enter the items marked with an asterisk" will appear along with the message for the invalid email. Crap! I then tried using a ValidationGroup called "ReqField" and have a one ValidationSummary for this group (with my HeaderText) and another for the other validators, but alas, my Submit button only allows one ValidationGroup to be triggered upon the click event. Does anyone have any ideas as to how I can get this to work? Thanks in adavnce.

• Django: url and content creation results in 500 and no apache error log entry

  If i try to open a created url i get an 500 error. My procedure was: First python manage.py startapp black I added in project/settings.py under INSTALLED_APPS 'black', I added in project/urls.py url(r'^test/', include('black.urls')), Content of black/urls.py is: from django.conf.urls import patterns, url from black import views urlpatterns = patterns('', url(r'^$', views.index, name='index') ) And content of black/views.py: from django.http import HttpResponse def index(request): return HttpResponse("SHOW ME: BLACK") After all i synced the database. I can't see any error in apache-error-log and also not in my posted django files. What could cause this?

  When I tried to do a simple modification of the "hello android" program that eclipse adt plugin generates I get error and can't get the program to run again even if I restore the file to its original contents. The modification was that I changed a string in strings.xml. the line was: <string name="app_name">Todo List</string> and the app was runnable, then I changed it to <string name="app_name">Todo List1</string> and it was an error: [2010-04-21 23:18:03 - Todo_list] Error in an XML file: aborting build. And a new empty file also showed up called: strings.out.xml And then I can't get the prrogram back into runnable state even if I delete the empyt file and restore the original line, I'm a confused beginner of java, android and eclipse.

AfxBeginThread(WorkerThread, this, THREAD_PRIORITY_NORMAL, 0, 0); But the compiler complains that error C2065: 'AfxBeginThread' : undeclared identifier But in MSDN i found that AfxBeginThread is found in AFXWIN.H If I include AFXWIN.H, the compiler complains that fatal error C1189: #error : WINDOWS.H already included. MFC apps must not #include <windows.h> What am I missing here? Thanks. PS: I am using Visual Studio 6.0 Enterprise Edition in Windows XP SP2.

• Event is causing an error, but I can't catch the exception

  A developer has created a custom control in ASP.NET using VB.NET. The custom control uses a repeater. In certain scenarios, the rpt_ItemDataBound event is encountering a data error. My goal is rather than having the user see the yellow screen of death, give the user a friendlier error explaining exactly what the data error is. I figured I would be able to use a Try/Catch block as shown below throw the exception, however, it appears that the event has nowhere to be thrown to and stops executing at the "End Try" line.   I'm running a Postgresql query and getting the following error: ActiveRecord::StatementInvalid (PGError: ERROR: could not open segment 1 of relation base/20983/24161 (target block 5046584): No such file or directory The query is of the format 'SELECT "locations".* FROM "locations" WHERE ("locations"."id" IN (115990, 78330, 77891, 78248, ...)' with about 600 ids in the IN clause - not an optimal query I know but it's what I have to work with for the moment! The server is running PostgreSQL 8.4.6 on x86_64-pc-linux-gnu, compiled by GCC gcc-4.4.real (Ubuntu 4.4.1-4ubuntu9) 4.4.1, 64-bit. Postgis 1.5 is also installed, and the locations table contains a geometry column. Anyone have any idea what could be causing the error? Thanks!

• What causes Python "Interpreter not Initialized" error?

  I'm now on my third full day this week of trying to get OpenCV to work with Python. (I have been trying on and off for the past 6 months). I get this error Python 2.7.1 (r271:86882M, Nov 30 2010, 10:35:34) [GCC 4.2.1 (Apple Inc. build 5664)] on darwin Type "help", "copyright", "credits" or "license" for more information. dlopen("/Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/2.7/lib/python2.7/lib-dynload/readline.so", 2); import readline # dynamically loaded from /Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/2.7/lib/python2.7/lib-dynload/readline.so >>> import cv dlopen("./cv.so", 2); Fatal Python error: Interpreter not initialized (version mismatch?) and then it crashes (core dumps). python -v gives nothing after the dlopen.   I have installed WAMP. I am using Tomcat 6 to run my PHP scripts. I am also using JavaBridge.war and I have copied my php scripts into \webapp\JavaBridge\project. I have removed the semicolon from php.ini file before the statements extension=php_mysqli.dll extension=php_mysql.dll I have added C:\wamp\bin into my PATH env variable. I have copied all dll's from C:\wamp\bin\php\php5.3.0\ext into C:\windows\system32 I am still getting this error. Fatal error: Call to undefined function mysqli_connect() in C:\Program Files\apache-tomcat-6.0.26\webapps\JavaBridge\project\pf_query.php on line 534 Note - I dont get this error when I run my PHP script from Apache 2.2.11 of the WAMP package.

• Freeing a character pointer returns error

  I'm trying to free a character pointer after having used it but it returns a strange error. The error says: "_CrtDbgREport: String too long or IO Error" The debugger itself returns no errors while compiling.   Hi, I am trying to create dynamic excel sheet, with the help of php using XML Spreadsheet. But when I try to open the dynamically created excel sheet I keep on getting error that says 'Unable to load worksheet, problem with worksheet settings'. When I try to look at the log file it had created it shows the below text, XML ERROR in Worksheet Setting REASON: Bad Value FILE: C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\5XZ039FS\output[3].xls GROUP: Worksheet TAG: Table ATTRIB: ExpandedRowCount VALUE: 4 Can anybody tell what does the above error mean and how do I remove it?
