  • PHP: Simple, Validate if string is hex?

    - by oni-kun
I have no clue how to validate this string. I am simply supplying an IV for an encryption, but can find no "is_hex()" or similar function, I can't wrap my head around it! I read on a comment in the php documentation (user contrib. notes) this: if($iv == dechex(hexdec($iv))) { //True } else { //False } But that doesn't seem to work at all.. It only says false. If it helps my input of my IV would be this: 92bff433cc639a6d

  • Running PHP Zend Test in Eclipse

    - by Carlos Eiroa
Is it possible to run PHP Zend test cases (those that extend Zend_Test_PHPUnit_ControllerTestCase, etc.) through Eclipse PDT? I would like to be able to run them in a similar fashion as you run JUnit tests in Eclipse, by right-clicking the test file and selecting "Run as a JUnit test case." I'd love to see the green or red bar instead of having to go to the command line :). Thanks in advance.

  • Add Access-Control-Allow-Origin to header in PHP

    - by SANDeveloper
    I am trying to workaround CORS restriction on a WebGL application. I have a Web Service which resolves URL and returns images. Since this web service is not CORS enabled, I can't use the returned images as textures. I was planning to: Write a PHP script to handle image requests Image requests would be sent through the query string as a url parameter The PHP Script will: Call the web service with the query string url Fetch the image response (web service returns a content-type:image response) Add the CORS header (Add Access-Control-Allow-Origin) to the response Send the response to the browser I tried to implement this using a variety of techniques including CURL, HTTPResponse, plain var_dump etc. but got stuck at some point in each. So I have 2 questions: Is the approach good enough? Considering the approach is good enough: I made the most progress with CURL. I could get the image header and data with: $ch = curl_init(); $url = $_GET["url"]; curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_URL, $url); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_HEADER, true); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_HTTPHEADER, array('Content-Type:image/jpeg')); //Execute request $response = curl_exec($ch); //get the default response headers $headers = curl_getinfo($ch); //close connection curl_close($ch); But this doesn't actually change set the response content-type to image/jpeg. It dumps the header + response into a new response of content-type text/html and display the header and the image BLOB data in the browser. How do I get it to send the response in the format I want? Managed to get it working: $ch = curl_init(); $url = $_GET["url"]; curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_URL, $url); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_HEADER, false); //Execute request $response = curl_exec($ch); //get the default response headers $headers = curl_getinfo($ch); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_HTTPHEADER, $headers); header('Content-Type: image/jpeg'); header("Access-Control-Allow-Origin: *"); // header("Expires: Sat, 26 Jul 2017 05:00:00 GMT"); //close connection curl_close($ch); flush();

  • PHP output of foreach loop into a new array.

    - by RobHardgood
I know I'm probably missing something easy, but I have a foreach loop and I'm trying to modify the values of the first array, and output a new array with the modifications as the new values. Basically I'm starting with an array: 0 = A:B 1 = B:C 2 = C:D And I'm using explode() to strip out the :'s and second letters, so I want to be left with an array: 0 = A 1 = B 2 = C The explode() part of my function works fine, but I only seem to get single string outputs. A, B, and C.

  • Future proof Tweeting with PHP

    - by YsoL8
Hello I'm looking to implement a system for tweeting directly from my site backend, which is written in PHP 5. I have a script from the internet that I can adapt, but I'm concerned that when Twitter switches to Oauth only, I'll be out in the cold. Basically, I'm hoping someone can point me toward a script/tutorial that will let me do the following: access twitter via the Oauth system Post Tweets and receive error codes Let me define an application/site name (I'm a bit fuzzy on whether Twitter allows this) Ideally I need all 3 points explained in detail. Thanks

  • Solve math question in PHP

    - by Koning WWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW
The user can enter a math problem like 5 + 654, 6 ^ 24, 2!, sqrt(543), log(54), sin 5, sin(50). After some reformatting (e.g. change sin 5 into sin(5)), and doing an eval, PHP gives me the right result. However, this is quite unsafe. Can anyone point me in the right direction parsing and solving a math question like the examples above, which is safe? Thanks.

  • PHP mysqli error return time

    - by Dori
Hello. Can i ask a fundamental question. Why when I try to create a new mysqli object in php with invalid database infomation (say an incorrect database name) does it not return an error intstantly? I usually program server stuff in Java and something like this would throw back an error strait away, not after 20 seconds or so. For example $conn = new mysqli($host, $username, $password, $database); Thanks!

  • splitting strings in php

    - by JPro
I have some testcases/strings in this format: o201_01_01a_Testing_to_see_If_this_testcases_passes:without_data o201_01_01b_Testing_to_see_If_this_testcases_passes:data rx01_01_03d_Testing_the_reconfiguration/Retest: Actually this testcase name consists of the actual name and the description. So, I want to split them like this : o201_01_01a Testing_to_see_If_this_testcases_passes:without_data o201_01_01b Testing_to_see_If_this_testcases_passes:data rx01_01_03d Testing_the_reconfiguration/Retest: I am unable to figure out the exact way to do this in explode in php Can anyone help please? Thanks.
