  • php json encode

    - by hafizan
This below output come from php json_encode.What we see here is 0849 is twice.Since javascript only use sn to get value why we need the "0" value. The main problem is speed execution. If 800 kb data might can be reduce to 400 kb {"success":"true","total":968,"data":[{"0":"0849","sn":"0849" }] If no solution i have to make a script to filter in json_encode so no need twice data transter.

  • using php to create a joomla user password?

    - by SoulieBaby
Hi all, I'm trying to create a custom registration component for Joomla, and I was wondering if anyone knew how to create the correct password encryption for joomla? Joomla passwords look like this : fbae378704687625a410223a61c66eb1:VM6DwmVWHTwpquDq51ZXjWWADCIc93MR Which I believe are md5 (or something) and one way encryption? Am just looking for a php code of sorts to create that same encryption. Cheers

    - by snaken
Hi, Is there a way to create a new MySQL database, a new MySQL user and give the new user priviledges on the new database all using PHP? I've seen examples where mysql_query is used like this: mysql_query("CREATE DATABASE ".$dbname)or die(mysql_error()); but i don't see how this would work as there's no database connection. • PHP code to convert a MySQL query to CSV

    - by Reilly
What is the most efficient way to convert a MySQL query to CSV in PHP please? It would be best to avoid temp files as this reduces portability (dir paths and setting file-system permissions required). The CSV should also include one top line of field names. Cheers.

  • Is switching to PHP 5.3 a good idea?

    - by understack
I'm using PHP 5.2.11. I've seen that 5.3 version has several backward incompatibility issues and because of that some code might require changes. Since my website is hosted on shared server, many have suggested that those server won't upgrade to 5.3 in near future (probably due to incompatibility issues for many shared users). Would it be wise to develop a new project in 5.3 which would be hosted on shared server?

  • Set the current date in PHP

    - by Rowan
I'm currently working on my company's in-house CMS and wish to add the ability for an admin to view the site on a specific date. This will allow admins to preview the site with archived or scheduled posts. I'd like to avoid finding all mentions of date() or time() and offsetting them. Is there a way of making PHP think it's a specific date so that all calls to date() default to the new time? Thank you

  • PHP URL encoding retaining invalid url characters

    - by Keyo
I need to replace url invalid characters with something url valid then convert it back again. This is for a search page with a url like http://my.site/search/this-is-a-search, the search form POSTS then the user redirected to the new url. Php has functions urlencode and urldecode however these do not work at all, and leave invalid characters in my url. Surely I don't need to reinvent the wheel here.

  • Matching 'weird' characters in PHP regex

    - by Bill X
I have some strings that need a-strippin': ÃœT: 9.996636,76.294363 Tons of long strings of location codes. A literal regex in PHP won't match them, IE $pattern = /ÃœT:/; echo preg_replace($pattern, "", $row['location']); Won't match/strip anything. (To know it's working, /T:/ does strip the last bit of that string). What's the encoding error doing on here? Alternately, I would accept a concise way to take out just the numbers.
