• Scapy install issues. Global name 'dnet' is not defined when trying to run in interactive mode

  I have an apple computer running Leopard with python 2.6. I downloaded the latest version of scapy and ran "python setup.py install". All went according to plan. Now, when I try to run it in interactive mode by just typing "scapy", it throws a bunch of errors. What gives!

  I used Python to generate a CSV file. But when I open it in Excel, Excel will auto recognize a string into a number if it could be converted. e.g.33E105, which is actually an ID, not a number. How to disable this in Excel while opening a CSV file? Or I need to resort to a excel-python library to output a excel file and specify the format myself? Thanks!

  I'm trying to install the Python Imaging Library on Mac OS X 10.4, but I get errors. I'm not sure where the error starts, it's just a huge wall of text when executing sudo python setup.py install. But the last few lines are: ... collect2: ld returned 1 exit status lipo: can't open input file: /var/tmp//ccNKvQpP.out (No such file or directory) error: command 'gcc' failed with exit status 1 I've googled, but none of the results are working.

  I'm working with PyInstaller under Python 2.6, which is only partially supported due to the mess MS have created with their manifest nonense which now affects Python since it is now MSVC8 compiled. The problem is that the manifest embedding support relies on the pywin32 extensions in order to build which is a pain because without including the host's site-packages folder when I create the virtualenv (kinda defeats the point in a build environment) I cannot find a way to install the required extensions so they are accessible to PyInstaller. Has anyone found a solution to this issue?

  I had Ubuntu 8.10. I upgrade it to 9.04. I have Openerp5.0 , server/client/web. It worked on 8.10 but not with 9.04. Now when I try to launch my server using: ./openerp-server.py I have this error: ERROR: Import xpath module ERROR: Try to install the old python-xml package It seems that this version of openerp doesn't work with python2.6.
