  • Trying to delete a directory stored on a WIndows server, mounted on a mac

    I am trying to delete a directory stored on a Windows 2008 R2 server, mounted on a Mac as network home (10.8.5). The directory was created by Safari and stores temporary internet files. I need to be able to delete this folder on logout from a Mac bash script. The Terminal on Mac shows the directory as empty: 36W-FacRm-02:History lwickham$ cd /home/lwickham/Library/Caches/Metadata/Safari/History 36W-FacRm-02:History lwickham$ ls -al total 0 drwx------ 1 lwickham CGPS\Domain Users 264 Nov 8 09:24 . drwx------ 1 lwickham CGPS\Domain Users 264 Nov 8 09:28 .. However, on the Windows server it has a single 0kb file that doesn't start with a "." but yet is invisible to the Mac.   • protobuf-net: Incorrect wire-type deserializing TimeSpan

    I get this exception when my client application is trying to deserialize a message comming from WCF service ("Incorrect wire-type deserializing TimeSpan"). I'm using .NET 3.5 SP1 and latest version of protobuf-net (1.0.0.275). I have no idea what could be the issue comming from. I don't undersand the reason of this error message. Anyone?

    I'm making a COM interface that c# will be using, however i am wondering how i am to check for errors and exception handling on the c# end as at the moment i am just returning a HRESTULT or bool for most methods. But several things can go wrong in some of these methods and returning a E_FAIL just doesn't cut it. What can i do in order to return more information? Can i make a HRESULT of my own?

  • Unselect Databound Combobox Winforms .NET

    The problem: combobox is databound to a DataView, first item in the dataview is DataRowView whose fields are DBNull.Value; Combo DropdownStyle = ComboBoxStyle.DropDownList Loads fine, displays fine, selects fine, problem is to Unselect via code. Setting the SelectedIndex to 0 throws an exception. (Setting to -1 is a no-no as per msdn doco that says dont set SelectedIndex=-1 if databound) So how to unselect without throwing an exception ? For now i wrapped it into a try/catch to just ignore the error! EDIT: As asked by Hubeza, i worked on sample code to post. Did a stripped down version of the original code in C# (original is in VB.NET) and could NOT reproduce it either. Converted to VB.NET and could NOT reproduce it either ! In other words, SelectedIndex = 0 does work in the stripped down version! Currently further investigating what else could be wrong with the original code. EDIT2: Case Closed. Call me a stupid fool if you like, and apologies for wasting anyone's time - The error was originating from MyComboBox_SelectedIndexChanged event, which i neglected to check !     I want to slight variation of the custom cell code example from the MS website How to: Customize Cells and Columns in the Windows Forms DataGridView Control by Extending Their Behavior and Appearance by passing an argument to the custom cell constructor. Public Sub New(ByVal a As Object) End Sub but then when I run the code it throws and exception MissingMethodException occured No parameterless constructor defined for this object. Does this mean that custom cells must have a parameterless constructor? Thanks.

    I have a WPF Application using Fluent NHibernate 1.0 RTM and System.Data.SQLite 1.0.65 that works fine in .Net 3.5. When I try to upgrade it to .Net 4.0 everything compiles but I get a runtime error where the innermost exception is this: `The IDbCommand and IDbConnection implementation in the assembly System.Data.SQLite could not be found.` The only change made to the project was switching the Target Framework to 4.0.

  • How to select TreePanel node(Parent/child) in selenium java

    My Application having TreePanel Element and I have to select the root node at the begining to add child node underit. When I try to click on root node using its XPATH String locator = "//div[@id='resultPropertyTree']/div/table/tbody/tr/td"; selenium.clickAt(locator,"0,1"); The entire element is going invisible hence script throwing debug exception saying the element is invisible/not got the focus etc. Can anybody help me out on handling above is appreciated.     If you write a ruby method as a function in C that uses rb_raise, the part of the function after the call will not get excecuted and the program will stop and you will think that rb_raise used exit(). But if you rescue the exception in ruby, like: begin method_that_raises_an_exception rescue end puts 'You wil still get here.' The ruby code will go on, but your function will stop excecuting. How does rb_raise make this happen?

I had a strange directory listing show up the other day in my git repository within Drupal. The other strange this is this entry does not show up for any other user browsing this same directory. Nor does it show up for other users period in their Git directories. The entry cannot be removed via RM. Running Centos 6.2 by the way...

  • Marshalling polymorphic objects in JAX-WS

    I'm creating a JAX-WS type webservice, with operations that return an object WebServiceReply. The class WebServiceReply itself contains a field of type Object. The individual operations would populate that field with a few different data-types, depending on the operation. Publishing the WSDL (I'm using Netbeans 6.7), and getting a ASP.NET application to retrieve and parse the WSDL was fine, but when I tried to call an operation, I would receive the following exception: javax.xml.ws.WebServiceException: javax.xml.bind.MarshalException - with linked exception: [javax.xml.bind.JAXBException: class [LDataObject.Patient; nor any of its super class is known to this context.] How do I mark the annotations in the DataObject.Patient class, as well as the WebServiceReply class to get it to work? I haven't been able to fine a definitive resource on marshalling based upon annotations within the target classes either, so it would be great if anybody could point me to that too. JAXB worked properly after that! Nonetheless, I'm still learning about JAXB marshalling in JAX-WS, so it would be great if anyone can still post any tutorial on this.     I am importing SSIS packages to SQL Server 2008 that were originally built for SQL Server 2005. I upgraded them in VS2008 and them imported them. They all import and work except for the one with the Konesans File system Watcher task. I installed in the setup exe for Konesans File system Watcher SQL Server 2008 on my dev pc and the production server, but still get this error: Exception from HRESULT: 0xC0010026 (Microsoft.SqlServer.DTSRuntimeWrap) Any advice?

  • Automated regression tests for java applets?

    We're working on a project with a number of applets that has to work across a large range of OS (WIndows, Mac, Linux), browsers (IE, FF, Safari, etc) and Java versions (1.5+), and it often happens that a fix we apply will cause some sort of security exception an another platform or some other error. Is there any way for us to prepare automated tests to immediately catch those problems in different platforms? I think it's not necessary to check that the gui parts are appearing as intended, but just to detect whether unexpected exceptions are occuring.
