A page contain multiple radio buttoned values and one choice is to made, this correct choice option is hidden within the page the radio buttons are present in the form whose structure is <form name="bloogs" action="/myaddres.php" id="bloogs" method="post" > then the hidden field as <input type=hidden value="abcd" name="ans"> then all the radio button values are followed as <input type="radio" id="r1" name="opt" value="abcd"> abcd <input type="radio" id="r1" name="opt" value="efgh"> efgh <input type="radio" id="r1" name="opt" value="ijkl"> ijkl and so on thus i need the button with value=abcd be selected as soon as the page loads.   We're working on a site and have come to a choice between one long (not too excessive) main page and several subpages. The subpages would have custom metas/titles/h2 tags and the content that corresponds to them. The main page would have all the content and many more inbound links (pagerank) and with longer content encompassing the content we'd put on the shorter pages. Which would be better for seo and traffic in general? Both schemes are very usable to the user although we are a little concerned with duplicate content (the page's header/footer and other elements remain the same)

  Using C#, say you have a ComboBox that has a DropDownStyle set to DropDown (there are items in the drop down but the user can manually enter a value as well). How do you set a default value for the ComboBox that is not in the list of values in the drop down, but begins with text from a possible selection? Normally setting ComboBox.Text works fine, but if there is an item in the drop down that begins with the text you want as the default, it automatically selects the first item in the list that starts with the text. For example: Values in the drop down: c:\program files\ c:\windows\ d:\media\ Default Value Assignment myComboBox.Text = "C:\"; Result Initial value of ComboBox when the form opens is "c:\program files\". So what am I doing wrong? How do I correctly set a default value of an item not in the drop down list that begins with a possible selection?

• Design Code Outside of an IDE (C#)?

  Does anyone design code outside of an IDE? I think that code design is great and all but the only place I find myself actually design code (besides in my head) is in the IDE itself. I generally think about it a little before hand but when I go to type it out, it is always in the IDE; no UML or anything like that. Now I think having UML of your code is really good because you are able to see a lot more of the code on one screen however the issue I have is that once I type it in UML, I then have to type the actual code and that is just a big duplicate for me. For those who work with C# and design code outside of Visual Studio (or at least outside Visual Studio's text editor), what tools do you use? Do those tools allow you to convert your design to actual skeleton code? It is also possible to convert code to the design (when you update the code and need an updated UML diagram or whatnot)?

• How do i rotate a CALayer around a diagonal axis?

  Hi, im trying to implement a flip animation to be used in board game like application. The animation is suppose to look like a game piece that rotate and change to the color of its back. I have managed to get a animation that flips around orthogonal axis, but when i try to flip around a diagonal axis by changing the rotation around the z-axis not surprisingly the actual image also gets rotated. Instead i would like to rotate the image as it is around a diagonal axis. I have tried to change layer.sublayerTransform but with no success. Here is the current implementation. It works by doing a trick to resolve the issue of getting a mirrored image at the end of the animation.   In summary, I am having a problem where I read what I expect to be an NSNumber from an NSArray contained in a property list and instead of getting a number such as '1', I get what looks to be a memory address (i.e. '61879840'). The numbers are clearly correct in the property list. Below is my process for creating the property list and reading it back. • What's the right way to calculate derived data in a Flex AdvancedDataGrid using summaries?

  Here's the gist of the problem: I have a set of rows of data with (say) field1 to field4 in them. I'm using a GroupingCollection to group on field1 and field2. So, I have something like this: f1.1 f2.1 f3.1 f4.1 f3.2 f4.2 f2.2 f3.3 f4.3 f3.4 f4.4 f3.5 f4.5 f1.2 f2.1 f3.6 f4.6 f2.2 f3.7 f4.7 f3.8 f4.8 f3.9 f4.9 (or at least, I hope that's clear enough) I need to calculate some derived values for each leaf row, for example f3, that is the ratio of f3 to the average of all f3 in that particular part of the tree. So, for f3.7 I need to calculate f3.7 / avg(f3.7..f3.9) and fill that into the f3_index property on the row, displaying that in lieu of f3 itself. So, basically, what it looks like I have to do is add source field values in the summarizeFunction implementation. It seems to me that there must be a better way of doing this. Is there?

• Vertex Normals, Loading Mesh Data

  My test FBX mesh is a cube. From what I surmise, it seems that the cube is on the extreme end of this issue, but I believe that the same issue would be able to occur in any mesh: Each vertex has 3 normals, each pointing a different direction. Of course loading in any type of mesh, potentially ones having thousands of vertices, I need to use indices and not duplicate shared verts. Currently, I'm just writing the normals to the vertex at the index that the FBX data tells me they go to, which has the effect of overwriting any previous normal data. But for lighting calculations I need more info, something that's equivalent to a normal per face, but I have no idea how this should be done. Do I average the 3 different verts' normals together or what?

• iPhone metering problems

  When I'm recording an AVAudioRecorder object, I repeat a chunk of code via an NSTimer that includes: [soundrecording updateMeters]; NSLog(@"channel 0 average:%f, peak:%f",[soundrecording averagePowerForChannel:0],[soundrecording peakPowerForChannel:0]); NSLog(@"channel 1 average:%f, peak:%f",[soundrecording averagePowerForChannel:1],[soundrecording peakPowerForChannel:1]); When I'm recording a mono file, the peak power for channel 0 is just what you'd expect, a float from -160 to 0. But average power for channel 0 is always zero. (And, of course, the values for channel 1 are both zero.) When I'm recording a stereo file, both the average and peak values for both channels are as expected. Any thoughts on why, when recording a mono file, the average value for channel 0 isn't returning correctly, even though the peak is? Thanks!
