• echoing our parts of an Array?

  I have the following array that I get as an output from facebook: http://www.paste.to/v/1jntlnml With the following code: $stream = $facebook->api_client->stream_get('',128342905144,'0','0',30,'','','',''); foreach($stream as $wallpost) { echo '<pre>'; print_r($wallpost); echo '</pre>'; } So I get the data that I need, but I want to call the individual variables within this array. For example, echo out the [message] for each post. Since it only loops once, I cant echo $wallpost['message'] or anything similar. any idea?

  Let's say in Perl I have a list of hash references, and each is required to contain a certain field, let's say foo. I want to create a list that contains all the mappings of foo. If there is a hash that does not contain foo the process should fail. @hash_list = ( {foo=>1}, {foo=>2} ); my @list = (); foreach my $item (@hash_list) { push(@list,$item->{foo}); } #list should be (1,2); Is there a more concise way of doing this in Perl?

• How to handle un-assigned records

  I have this PHP page where the user can select and un-select items. The interface looks like this: Now I'm using these code, when the user hit the save changes button: foreach( $value as $al_id ){ //al_id is actually location id //check if a record exists //if location were assigned and leave it as is $assigned_count = $this->AssignedLoc->checkIfAssigned( $tab_user_id, $al_id ); if( $assigned_count == 0 ){ //else if not, insert this new record $this->insertAssigned( $tab_user_id, $company_id, $al_id ); } } Now my question is, how do I delete the un assigned locations? For example in the screenshot above, there are 4 assigned locations, if I'm gonna remove (or unassign) "Mercury Morong" and "GP Hagonoy" from the assigned locations, only two must remain. What are the possible solutions using PHP? Thanks for any help!

• C# String builder, displaying data nicely spaced out.

  Hello, I am wondering how exactly can i order my date nicely in a stringbuilder? Meaning something equal to ("{0,2}", ....) to space the data nicely out. I do not want to use consolewrites of any kind, so the class can be re-used in a form, console code etc... Currently i am using " " for the spacing, but in overall it does not give a proper display. Meaning in each index in the List a directory. How can i do it ? Tried with Directory and DirectoryInfo but i just got messed up.

I have a list of about 20 parent directories which have few thousand recursive subdirs and every subdir has few hundred records. • C# compiler fails to recognize a class is implementing an interface

  The following code fails to compile (using VS2010) and I don't see why. The compiler should be able to infer that List is 'compatible' (sorry for lack of a better word) with IEnumerable, but somehow it doesn't.   Hi, I have a list of lists as below: List<List <T> > userList Class T { string uniqueidentifier, string param2, int param2} I have a uniqueidentifier and i need to find the element T in the list that has the same 'uniqueidentifier' value. I can do it using two 'foreach' loops. This does not seem to be nice way doing things. I guess there should be some inbuilt method like 'Find' that does the same thing and is highly optimized.

• Getting a java collection of objects in Alphabetical order

  I have a question that I dont really know where to start. So I thought i'd ask it here. Basically, I have a drop down with names in it. I want these names to be in alphabetical order. Populating the drop down happens as follows; I query a database and pull down an Id and Name, make a object called "UserList", and set the name and id variables with what I get back. I then add this object to an ArrayList. I do this over and over. I then convert this collection to an array, and pass it to my JSP page using session.setAttribute("userList", UserList); I then populate the drop down as below. <c:forEach items="${usersCompanysList}" var="c" > There probably is a simple answer but how to I sort these names?

  I am aware of array_walk() and array_map(). However when using the former like so (on an old project) it failed array_walk($_POST, 'mysql_real_escape_string'); Warning: mysql_real_escape_string() expects parameter 2 to be resource, string given. So I went with this slightly more ugly version foreach($_POST as $key => $value) { $_POST[$key] = mysql_real_escape_string($value); } So why didn't the first way work? What is the best way to map values of an array to a function?

• Changing the way widgets are rendered/displayed in a form on the template

  I have a form with a few other embedded forms and some various widgets. The widgets are all saved in an array $form['elements'] and for some of them, I want to display labels and things, but for others I only want to display the basic rendering. foreach($form['elements'] as $elem) echo $elem->render(); this displays everything about the widget. The way it is right now, I couldn't for example call $elem['..'] because the different subforms appear in a random order and have different variable names. I assume I could still put some checks in the template, but it seems easier to fix this in the widget class, like override one of the render functions or something. How would I go about doing this or do you have any links that could help me understand how do do this? on a side note, one of my widgets is the sfWidgetFormChoice and I have no clue where it actually renders or how renderer_classes work

  I try to lead the types from an .dll (which is also referenced in the executing project). The public static void LoadPlugin(string pluginFile) method is located in other assembly that is also referenced in the executing project. No exceptions are thrown. What could be the issues for not loading all the types? Any ideas?

• MoveWindow API doesn't work well on Vista

  Hello! I have an application on Vista which loops through all processes and finds associated main windows in order to move and resize them. The problem is that some windows get moved and resized and some don't. Also it even seems that moved and resized windows aren't moved and resized according to the MoveWindow function call because they are resized to title bar and all of them are on the same line (same y coordinate). Here's the sample code: IntPtr handle; Process[] processList = Process.GetProcesses(); int i = 0; foreach (Process process in processList) { handle = process.MainWindowHandle; if (handle != IntPtr.Zero) //If the process has window then move and resize it. { bool moveResult = MoveWindow(handle, i * 50, i * 50, 500, 500, true); i++; } } Is this because of Vista? • Can I find out what WCF methods are supported on the endpoint before calling it?

  I have a versioning issue with a WCF service contract in which one of the many endpoints which are called for the operation is missing one method from the contract. My question is, how can I make sure the command is available on the client before attempting to call it? I tried: foreach (var od in proxy.Endpoint.Contract.Operations) { if (od.Name == "MyMethodName") { hasMethod = true; break; } } Unfortunately, this is using the contract from the calling app and does not actually describe the implementations on the endpoint itself. As a result, it returns true even though the endpoint has failed to implement the command.
