  • Traffic going to wrong server

    I'm in the process of migrating to a new server, but some traffic that should be going to old server is now coming to the new server before I am ready to migrate. My provider used an IP used as the secondary nameserver on the old server as the primary IP on the new server, so now my secondary nameserver is directing traffic to the new server. Is there a way to forward the traffic hitting the new IP back to the old IP while I wait for DNS to propagate? Server is Linux CENTOS 6.5 x86_64 w/ cPanel Thanks

  • PDF form (not) saving

    I've created a form in a PDF with Adobe Acrobat Pro. When empy, I want to use it as a template which the user opens, fills in, and saves as a copy to preserve the blank state of the template. Here's the trick : I found both ways to make the document read only - the user can't save the form value, only print them make the document writeable, but in this case the document acting as a template can be modified too.     I am currently trying to figure out which solution would be best for software renting service (with proper licensing and stuff). I know its kinda stupid and so on, but I just have to develop it. Long story short - user can connect to a virtual machine (with windows guest os) using vnc and use some specific software for some specific time (eg., 1 hour). I have already considered VirtualBox, Xen and some other, but maybe somebody has a better idea. Thanks.

    I'm stuck between ´eVGA GTX 550 Ti 1GB Super OC´ and ´eVGA GTX460 SE 1GB SuperClocked OC´. I know that 460 is better in performance, but does the 550 Ti has any newer feature, which makes it better? I'll mostly use it for HD movies and HD gaming (skyrim, la noire).     I am writing a VIM function which should search for the text found in register a. In VIM I would start a search with / then press Ctrlr and finish off with a then Return. However this line in the function is not working: execute "/<c-r>a<Return>" It is throwing this error: E486: Pattern not found: <c-r>a<Return> How do I enter the literal Ctrlr into the function?     What is in Oracle's sqlplus equivalent of Linux's man or --help ? When I'm in sqlplus and type help index, I get some commands displayed, but there is no way to get specific sql syntax. For example if I type 'help select' I get: SP2-0172 No HELP matching this tiopic was found. Of course, I would like to get all available options for select command.   • Using ssd intensively. Should we worry?

    I'm currently using conventional HDDs like the 5200 rpms, browsing a lot, my folder and files are scattered, torrenting always and I'm not fond of optimization like disabling cache, cleaning temp Files , etc. My question is, given the above conditions (no disable of cache, seeding always in torrent, downloading torrent) is it safe to use SSD? I'm pretty worried about cycles but I read an article wherein it says its safe since it will usually wear out for 10 years given that you always write heavily and continuously. Thanks

  • ping preload is not permitted, what could be the reason?

    I am trying to ping one of my local host and checking CPU process to see how "Ping of death" attack behaves. I tried to ping my other PC which is in local network with 192.168.44.2 IP Address. I tried this, ping -l 5000 192.168.44.2 and I got error like this, ping: -l flag: Operation not permitted I am on MacOSX Lion. How can I remove this flag so machine can let me ping with preload?
