• Jquery UI Dialog Empty On Auto-Open

  I am having a somewhat strange error with my jquery dialog. When I have it autoopen, the dialog box is completely empty. If I exit out of the dialog and then reopen (through the standard dialog open event) the content appears. The jquery setup: $("#content_locker").dialog({ autoOpen: true, modal: true, height: 600, width: 800 }); Here you can see the webpage that I am working on (it is a link-shortening service). The dialog div starts on line 148 of the source: <div id="content_locker" title="Exclusive Content"> You will see that the dialog is empty. If you exit out and click on the unlock button, the proper html is there. Any ideas?

  when I try to loop through the children of a List component that has buttons in it, I can't seem to access those children. • A simple log file format

  Hi, I'm not sure if it was asked, but I couldn't find anything like this. My program uses a simple .txt file for log purposes, It just creates/opens a file and appends lines. After some time, I started to log quite a lot of activities, so the file became too large and hardly readable. I know, that it's not write way to do this, but I simply need to have a readable file. So I thought maybe there's a simple file format for log files and a soft to view it or if you'd have any other suggestions on this question? Thanks for help in advance.

• Can return and else statements be used interchangable in CFScript?

  I would like to know your opinion on using return and else statements interchangeably in CFScript. I generally use the following syntax: if (something) { // Do something } else { // Do something else } It recently occurred to me I could do this instead: if (something) { // Do something return; } // Do something else Would those two styles yield a different end result? I like not having to wrap code in an else statement. My thinking is that if the if statement evaluates true and returns, the code below it will not run. If it does not evaluate true, then the code below it will run regardless of whether it is wrapped in an else statement or not. Does that sound write?

  Hi everyone, I am testing out some memcache code here in PHP: 1: $testInstance = new Memcache; $var = @$testInstance->connect('localhost', 11211); echo $var; // Outputs true no matter if the memcached is running or not. 2: $testInstance = new Memcache; $var = @$testInstance->connect('blablabla', 11211); echo $var; // Outputs false Why on earth is this occuring? I am running WinXP in my development environment and I cant see how the localhost version always returns true no matter if the memcached is running or not. Thanks!

• Should I use C(99) booleans ? ( also c++ booleans in c++ ?)

  I haven't done much c programming but when I do when I need a false I put 0 when I want true I put 1, (ex. while(1)), in other cases I use things like "while(ptr)" or "if(x)". Should I try using C99 booleans, should I recommend them to others if I'm helping people new to programming learn c basics(thinking of cs 1?? students)? I'm pretty sure the Visual Studio compiler supports c99 bools, but do a lot of projects (open source and c apps in industry) compile for c89? If I don't use C bools should I at least do something like #define TRUE 1 #define FALSE 0? Also what about c++ Booleans (for c++)?

• Running a loop (such as one for a mock webserver) within a thread

  I'm trying to run a mock webserver within a thread within a class. I've tried passing the class' @server property to the thread block but as soon as I try to do server.accept the thread stops. Is there some way to make this work? I want to basically be able to run a webserver off of this script while still taking user input via stdin.gets.   Hi: I have to update some fields of a table of access according to the value of parameter. If this paramter is "true" I need to update. Table idInvoice price percentageTax1 tax1 percentageTax2 tax2 total Example values: idinvoice: 12300 price: 100 € percentageTax1: 10 % tax1= 10€ percentageTax2: 5 % tax2: 5€ total: 115 € (result: 100€+10€+5€) Ok. If the parameter on that I have commented before is "true" I must update the percentages and then update the total. I need to replace the "old" percentages by new percent. Ok I can do it in 3 queries: update invocies set percentageTax1=20,tax1=price *(percentageTax1/100) where idInvoice=@number and percentageTax1=10 update invocies set percentageTax2=7,tax2=price *(percentageTax2/100) where idInvoice=@number and percentageTax2=5 update invocies set total=price+tax1+tax2 where idInvoice=@number . But my question is: is there any an alternative to do this in 1 query?

  Hello, I've searched around online, but can't find the answer to my question. What I want to do is run a command in pythong, using the subprocess module, and store the output in a variable. However, I do not want the command's output to be printed to the terminal. For this code: def storels(): a = subprocess.Popen("ls",shell=True) storels() I get the directory listing in the terminal, instead of having it stored in a. I've also tried def storels(): subprocess.Popen("ls > tmp",shell=True) a = open("./tmp") [Rest of Code] storels() This also prints the output of ls to my terminal. I've even tried this command with the somewhat dated os.system method, since running "ls tmp" in the terminal doesn't print ls to the terminal at all, but stores it in tmp. However, the same thing happens. I'm using python 2.6. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

  I received a SSL cert to use for a Tomcat 6.0 server, ready to use. I configured Tomcat to use it with the following in server.xml: <Connector port="8443" maxThreads="200" scheme="https" secure="true" SSLEnabled="true" keystoreFile="C:\Tomcat 6.0\ssl\cert" keystorePass="*****" clientAuth="false" sslProtocol="TLS"/> I started Tomcat using the command prompt so I could see any error message as they happened. There were none. The results for accessing different URLS: http://localhost - normal page loads fine https://localhost - browser claims page cannot be found https://localhost:8443 - page cannot be found http://localhost:8443 - offers a certificate, after accepted redirects to https://localhost (I suspect the https:// urls initially offer the certificate which is automatically accepted by the browser, as it was issued by Verisign) How to fix? Edit: I've also tried port="443". Same result.
