• Strange problem with Random Access Filing in C++

  This is a simple random access filing program . The problem arises where i want to write data randomly. If I write any where in the file the previous records are set to 0. the last 1 which is being entered currently holds the correct value all others =0.   I am SICK AND TIRED of WPF and all its "if thats dosen't work, try this" fucking fixes ALL THE TIME, well heres one the collection: I have a Custom Control which uses some PART controls: [TemplatePart(Name = "PART_TitleTextBox", Type = typeof(TextBox))] [TemplatePart(Name = "PART_TitleIndexText", Type = typeof(Label))] [TemplatePart(Name = "PART_TimeCodeInText", Type = typeof(TextBlock))] [TemplatePart(Name = "PART_TimeCodeOutText", Type = typeof(TextBlock))] [TemplatePart(Name = "PART_ApprovedImage", Type = typeof(Image))] [TemplatePart(Name = "PART_CommentsImage", Type = typeof(Image))] [TemplatePart(Name = "PART_BookmarkedImage", Type = typeof(Image))] public class TitleBoxNew : Control { This control is overriding OnApplyTemplate: public override void OnApplyTemplate() { base.OnApplyTemplate(); InitializeEvents(); } Which works well, most of the time.. I have added the control inside a custom tab control in a window and somehow OnApplyTemplate is never called for that control! WHY IS WPF SO FUCKING RANDOM!?

  I'm receiving a "Ext.data.DataReader: #realize was called with invalid remote-data" error when I create a new record via a POST request. Although similar to the discussion at this SO conversation, my situation is slightly different: My server returns the pk of the new record and additional information that is to be associated with the new record in the grid. My server returns the following: {'success':true,'message':'Created Quote','data': [{'id':'610'}, {'quoteNumber':'1'}]} Where id is the PK for the record in the mysql database. quoteNumber is a db generated value that needs to be added to the created record. Though the copy is pointing to the same address, the method receiving the argument cannot change original. • problem with sIFR 3 not displaying in IE just getting XXX

  I am having a problem with sIFR 3 not displaying in IE. I get 3 larges black XXX in IE yet it displays fine in Firefox. I have checked i do have the most recent version of flash installed correctly.   Is it possible to override a function based on the number of parameters that you are passing into it? For instance: function abc(name) { document.write ('My name is' + name); } function abc(name,friend) { document.write ('My name is' + name + 'and my best friend\'s name is' + friend); } So in the HTML if I just called abc(george) it would use the first version of the function, but if I called abc(george,john) it would use the second version.   Here is my dilemma, I have not been able to manipulate my data to a form fitting to jqgrid standards. This is my first time using the jqgrid and I've spent a lot of time reading up on it. • jquery css menu not selecting the active link

  What is wrong with this and how could I fix it. I have css menu (horizontal) that I want the background and font to be changed when one of the items is selected. I found another post that gave me some jquery code to help make it work, and I thought I had it coded right, but when I click on an item to change its class it adds the class, but the background and font stay the same? • What is the `name` keyword in JavaScript?

  When I typed this apparently innocent snippet of code: values.name gedit highlighted name as a keyword. However, name is not listed by the pages linked to by an answer to a question about reserved keywords. I also did a couple trivial tests in SpiderMonkey, but name seemed to act like an ordinary identifier. A Google search didn't tell me much either. However, I did find a page listing name in "Other JavaScript Keywords". My guess is that name is a function or a member of some DOM element and does not intrude on the namespace. Is name really a keyword in JavaScript? If so, what does it do?

  Hello, I'm validating a text field in my form as follows: $name = new Zend_Form_Element_Text('name'); $name->setLabel('First Name:') ->setRequired(true) ->addFilter(new Zend_Filter_StringTrim()) ->addValidator('regex',true,array('/^[(a-zA-Z0-9)]+$/')) ->addErrorMessage('Please enter a valid first name'); What I'm trying to accomplish is - how can i display a meaningful error message? Eg: If first name is 'XYZ-', how can i display '- is not allowed in first name.' Is there a way I can access what character the regex is failing for? Would you recommend something else altogether? I thought about writing a custom validator but the regex is pretty simple, so I don't see the point. I couldn't find a decent documentation for the zend 'regex' validator anywhere. If I don't override the default error message, I simple get something like : ';;;hhbhbhb' does not match against pattern '/^[(a-zA-Z0-9)]+$/' - which I obviously don't want to display to the user. I'd appreciate your inputs.

• [PHP] Difference between normal and magic setters and getters

  I am using a magic getter/setter class for my session variables, but I don't see any difference between normal setters and getters. The code: class session { public function __set($name, $value) { $_SESSION[$name] = $value; } public function __unset($name) { unset($_SESSION[$name]); } public function __get($name) { if(isset($_SESSION[$name])) { return $_SESSION[$name]; } } } Now the first thing I noticed is that I have to call $session->_unset('var_name') to remove the variable, nothing 'magical' about that. Secondly when I try to use $session->some_var this does not work. I can only get the session variable using $_SESSION['some_var']. I have looked at the PHP manual but the functions look the same as mine. Am I doing something wrong, or is there not really anything magic about these functions.

  I'm trying to submit a form on an .asp page but Mechanize does not recognize the name of the control. The form code is: <form id="form1" name="frmSearchQuick" method="post"> .... <input type="button" name="btSearchTop" value="SEARCH" class="buttonctl" onClick="uf_Browse('dledir_search_quick.asp');" > My code is as follows: br = mechanize.Browser() br.open(BASE_URL) br.select_form(name='frmSearchQuick') resp = br.click(name='btSearchTop') I've also tried the last line as: resp = br.submit(name='btSearchTop') The error I get is: raise ControlNotFoundError("no control matching "+description) ControlNotFoundError: no control matching name 'btSearchTop', kind 'clickable' If I print br I get this: IgnoreControl(btSearchTop=) But I don't see that anywhere in the HTML. Any advice on how to submit this form?
