    I'm trying to implement a genetic algorithm that will calculate the minimum of the Rastrigin functon and I'm having some issues. I need to represent the chromosome as a binary string and as the Rastrigin's function takes a list of numbers as a parameter, how can decode the chromosome to a list of numbers? Also the Rastrigin's wants the elements in the list to be -5.12<=x(i)<=5.12 what happens if when i generate the chromosome it will produce number not in that interval? I'm new to this so help and explanation that will aid me in understanding will be highly appreciated. Thanks.

  • fitbounds() in Google maps api V3 does not fit bounds

    hi, I'm using the geocoder from Google API v3 to display a map of a country. I get the recommended viewport for the country but when I want to fit the map to this viewport, it does not work (see the bounds before and after calling the fitBounds function in the code below). What am I doing wrong? I have created scrollbar style (using standard scroll bard template - Blend 2) I am not sure how to apply this style "MyScrollStyle" to a ListBox Template . I saw on ListBox template they have Scroll Viewer -- which should contain the scrollbar Assuming it is something simple as ---Content Added--- After going through lot of xaml in template edit I kind of understood how to apply style. My company has a DSL 2mb connection. My main problem is latency, in the morning its good but after that its gets really bad.     Hi there, I'm running a tomcat 6, spring, apache cxf webservice, know it is a must to add one third party library to my webapp to fulfill an order. I have jaxb-impl-2.1.12.jar for apache cxf in WEB-INF/lib folder and the new library which contains the JAXB 1.0 runtime. JAXB 2 ist used by apache cxf for dynamic clients (i need them). So is there a possibility to run the webapps with both libraries?     Microsoft originally slated the final release build for April 12, 2010. Somasegar said the Visual Studio 2010 and .NET Framework 4 releases will now be pushed back "a few weeks." I know the version / product name says "2010", but that doesn't necessarily mean that it will RTM in 2010. After all VS'2008 RTM'd in November 2007. The last Beta of VS'2008 came out in July 2007, and it RTM'd in November. As I have an excel with 20 columns, now want to use AutoFilter function to search in some columns if it contains one value (Ex: ID010). what i want is it'll display all rows that have at least one column contains ID010. Currently, i use the below code to search.   • TimeoutException in simultaneous calls to WCF services from Silverlight application

    Analysing log files I've noticed that ~1% of service calls ended with TimeoutException on the Silverlight client side. The services (wcf) are quite simple and do not perform long computations. According the log all calls to the services are always processed in less that 1 sec (even when TimeoutException is occurred on the client!), so it is not server timeout. So what is wrong? Can it be configuration or network problem? How can I avoid it? What additional logging information can be helpful for localizing this issue? The only one workaround I've thought up is to retry service calls after timeout. I will appreciate any help on this issue! Update: On startup the application performs 17 service calls and 12 of them simultaneously (may it be cause of failure?). Update: WCF log has not contained useful information about this issue. It seems some service calls do not reach the server side.

  • Why do I get this error when I try to push my SQLite3 to Postgresql (via Taps) on Cedar Stack?

    I've done quite a bit of research on Heroku Dev Center and I am now looking to the community for help. Here is my problem. I can not push my db to Heroku Cedar Stack. I am trying to migrate a sqlite database to postgresql via Taps gem. When I am ready to deploy I run: bundle install --without production heroku run db:push I get the following result: Running db:seed attached to terminal... up, run.17 sh: db:seed: not found heroku run rake db:migrate And when I run the migration: heroku run rake db:migrate I get the following: Running rake db:migrate attached to terminal... up, run.18 rake aborted! My database.yml production environment still points to sqlite adapter even after I have run the following command successfully: heroku config:add BUNDLE_WITHOUT="test development" --app app_name_on_heroku Out of ideas.   • Google Maps Api v3 - getBounds is undefined

    Hi All, I'm switching from v2 to v3 google maps api and got a problem with gMap.getBounds() function. I need to get the bounds of my map after its initialization. Here is my javascript code: var gMap; $(document).ready( function() { var latlng = new google.maps.LatLng(55.755327, 37.622166); var myOptions = { zoom: 12, center: latlng, mapTypeId: google.maps.MapTypeId.ROADMAP }; gMap = new google.maps.Map(document.getElementById("GoogleMapControl"), myOptions); alert(gMap.getBounds()); So now it alerts me that gMap.getBounds() is undefined. I've tryed to get getBounds values in click event and it works fine for me, but I cannot get the same results in load map event. Also getBounds works fine while document is loading in Google Maps API v2, but it fails in V3. Could you please help me to solve this problem?

    Through work I have an Visual Studio Premium with MSDN subscription that I love. However, my biggest disappointment of the last 12 months was discovering that our 2nd from the top level subscription was not enough to get me Sketchflow! This sucks and I am borderline distraught! What are my options? Upgrading to an Ultimate subscription for Sketchflow is out of the question. Am I forced, then, to stay with Blend 3 or Purchase Blend 4 seperately? If this is not a question I should ask here please inform and I'll delete. I just tend to default to SO for all questions that Google can't answer and Google did not answer this one.
