  • No class def found error for JUnit Test on android

    I am having some very bizarre behaviour. I have a large number of test cases for my Android application, and they all work except for one. When I run this one I get a java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org.JUnit.test Yes, I have the JUnit 4 library imported into the project, and my other JUnit tests are running without any problems. What is particularly bizarre is that before I hit this problem I had an error in my code- basically, I tried writing a file to a read only folder. When that occurred, the JUnitTest would execute up to the point where it would hit an IO exception for accessing a part of memory it cannot access. I fix this problem, and suddenly the Android emulator doesn't seem to know what org.JUnit.test is. I have examined the run configuration for this test class, and it is the same as my others. It is in the same folder as the other tests as well. It also uses the same import statements. Any idea on what is going on? I am using the Android 10 emulator, and eclipse version 3.7.2. Edit: To clarify, the error I get appears on Logcat and not in my Eclipse project.

    I am creating a unit test in mstest with rhino mocks. I have a class A that inherits class B. I am testing class A and create an instance of it for my test. The class it inherits, "B", has some protected methods and protected properties that I would like to access for the benefit of my tests. For example, validate that a protected property on my base class has the expected value. Any ideas how I might access these protected properties of class B during my test?

  • jQuery::Ajax success never occurs

Am I doing something wrong? The PHP file does give me data when testing it directly.

  • if (self = [super init]) vs. if ((self = [super init]))

    Was just doing a code review and started to wonder: I thought if (self = [super init]) checks whether assigning return value of [super init] to variable self was successful or not (value of operation). Thus (self = nil) would actually be TRUE. I thought if ((self = [super init])) checks what is the value of self after assignment (value of variable). Thus ((self = nil)) would be FALSE. Which one is the correct way to use when initializing your own classes? Apple documentation uses the former one (for example here), which style I'm actually using now.

    In Blackberry's Application class what is the difference between hasEventThread() and isHandlingEvents(). I'm just curious, because I have only found hasEventThread useful. From BB's docs for Applicaiton: public boolean hasEventThread() Determines if this application has entered the event dispatcher. Returns: True if this application has entered the event dispatcher (i.e. has invoked Application.enterEventDispatcher()); otherwise, false. isHandlingEvents public final boolean isHandlingEvents() Determines if this application has entered the event dispatch loop. Returns: True if the application has entered the event dispatch loop; otherwise, false. My only guess is that isHandlingEvents most happen sometime after hasEventThread. But is that really that useful?

    When i try to compile this: public static int compareCardhl (Card c1, Card c2) } if (c1.suit > c2.suit) return 1 ; if (c1.suit < c2.suit) return -1 ; if (c1.rank > c2.rank) return 1 ; if (c1.rank < c2.rank) return -1 ; return 0; } i get a lot of class or intereface expected errors. They all point at the if's. i also get a ; expected error at the end of Card c2). whats going wrong here?

So the question is simple, how can i correct this ,but "$a = new myClass();" is not inside the function, since in .NET world can do this, i believe PHP also possible. And one more question is, what is the modify of function in A.php ,if i have not state private/public/protected???

    I have a small problem with ArrayList. You see, I wish to get an instance of RenderNewHUD in my renderer class, which has a list of registered renderers. I did not want to create a variable for this due to limitations and awkwardness. Here is my code. RenderNewHUD hud = renderer.renderList.get(RenderNewHUD()); How exactly can I go along getting the instance of RenderNewHUD without creating a new instance? If you need any more of my code, just ask.     I have 2 projects linked and these 2 projects each have a package under them. XProject - XPackage - XClass - X1Method(); X2Method(); YProject - YPackage - YClass - Y1Method(); I'm trying to call X1 and X2 methods from Y1 Method. I can call X1 Method but when I call X2 method I get a runtime error (java.lang.NoSuchMethodError:) All methods are public and there is nothing wrong with method names. It is just nonsense to have one of them working while other is giving runtime errors. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
