    We are using Cables Unlimited USB-2925 USB-to-Dual-DB9 serial cables, which use the Moschip MCS7720 controller. We have downloaded the newest driver from http://www.moschip.com/mcs7720.php, but that driver was last updated in 2005. It does not seem to be working with Macs running OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard. Does anyone know of any updates for this driver, or are there any ways to get the driver to work with Snow Leopard?

  • Disk Image Tools for Windows Server 2008

    I have a Windows Server 2008 X64 machine that I need to swap the boot drive on. I'd like to use a disk image/restore utility to make an image of the boot partition and restore that to the new drive. Does anyone know of a free or reasonably priced tool that can do this? I know that Acronis True Image will do it, but you need to have their server product to restore images of a server OS and it's prohibitively expensive ($850). Thanks, jon

    Is it possible to customize data (or date-time) format in Windows [I am using windows XP]? The current format which is followed by the OS [to show date-modified, etc.] is MM/DD/YYYY or M/D/YYYY, whereas I have been comfortable with DD/MM/YYYY or D/M/YYYY format. I am finding it hard to refer Date-modified [which I use often] of files and folders.

    Can anyone recommend a good eSATA PCIe card for Windows Server 2008 (x64)? I bought a J-Micron JMB363 and it's recognized by the OS and I can install one of their reference drivers, but it's not picking up the drive I have attached to it. Basically, I want to be able to transfer exported Hyper-V machines quickly to an external drive, and it seems that using one of these eSATA cards is the way to go.

    My screen flickers at 1280 x 1024, 75 hertz, 32 bit color, Dell Monitor e190s 19 inch square monitor. This problem only at the above mentioned resolution , it works fine with other resolutions. I just bought this Monitor 2 days back, do you think the Monitor is defective ? Why is this problem occurring , the system says this is the recommended resolution.     I've done an install of Windows 7 Ultimate on my laptop when I meant to install Pro - i.e. I've already used the Ultimate license on another box and want the laptop to run Pro for which I've got keys spare. Is there a way to change the SKU of the installed version to downgrade it so that I can use my Pro key. I've got a fair bit of stuff on it and would like to avoid re-installing the OS if I can.

    I am using Transmission (1.92, the latest version) in Mac OS X 10.6.2 Snow Leopard, and have noticed that, without any torrents (at all, not even paused), Little Snitch reports constant activity from it. What's going on? I'd always assumed when I saw that with Torrents loaded but inactive, it had to do with the DHT, or some such kind of scanning activity. But what could it be doing when no torrents are loaded at all?

I have been trying to capture http traffic but if apply following filters, the wireshark gives results not required http result: it only show ssdp traffic http (!udp) result: it does not show any thing http (!http contains ssdp) result: it does not show any thing http && tcp result: it does not show any thing http (!udp.dstport == 1900) result: it does not show any thing tcp result: it shows tcp traffic but i cannot reach to my required http messages please guide what may be the problem, as the same thing is happening when i run it on a different OS (windows7) on my laptop

I deleted the existing partition on the laptop and wanted to created a new one were to install the OS but cant because everything in the partition tab for the drive is grayed out.     I need an easy way to do system stability tests. I have come to rely on Prime95 which does a fantastic job of proving stability (or instability) very quickly; but it requires an OS installed. I would like something like Prime95 that stresses both CPU and RAM (maybe PCI-Ex bus also?) but runs in a nice bootable binary like Memtest86+ does, so I can boot it from a thumbdrive. Does such a thing exist?

I am using the following command on Mac, sudo scp ~/.ssh/mykey.rsa [email protected], there is no output from Mac command line. I am not sure whether the scp is success or not.
