  • controlling how UltraVNC handles ALT+TAB

    Most of the time it ignores it and I am able to switch away from UltraVNC to another application. I like this behavior. However, occasionally it gets into a mode where - for no discernable reason - it passes the Alt+Tab to the remote host which is incredibly annoying as I am used to the other behavior and suddenly I have no keyboard shortcut to switch to a different local windows. Since it appears to exhibit both behaviors, I assume there is some way to control which behavior is in use, but I haven't been able to find it

  • Mac OS X VirtualBox Update to 10.6.6

    Hi. I was able to get Mac OS X 10.6.2 to work on my 64-bit Acer on VirtualBox multiple times, but I would like to update to 10.6.6. Every time I do, however, I continue to get this annoying error, saying that the kernal and OS version mismatch, and the OS Version is no longer set. What is the proper way to update to Mac OS 10.6.6 because I have heard of it being done before. Thanks in advance for your help, Thommaye

  • Java update "Failed to download required installation files."

    On my Windows 7 machine the Java update consistently fails with this error message. This seems to a common problem, does anyone have an insight into what's going wrong, and is there a fix for it other than either disabling the update check (seems a bad idea from a security point of view) or waiting for the nag message and then manually installing the new version (annoying and stupid from a usability point of view). Note that I did install the previous version manually (updating from 6.23 to 6.30 I think?), thinking that might resolve the issue, but no luck.

I could not find where I can switch of this annoying feature.     RemoteApp sessions lock if idle for 10 minutes, user needs to input password to unlock. My users are running an application from Win2008 Terminal server using RemoteApp. If the application remains idle for 10 minutes it gets "locked" and the user is required to enter username and password to continue using it. This is VERY VERY annoying as the app usually sits idle for bout 20-30 minutes, used for 1 min... repeat.

I don't know why this is happening as it doesn't affect my colleagues who are also using Jira. I am using Firefox 3.6.3 on Vista. Jira is installed on Ubuntu Hardy server edition.     It seems when I first setup a new user in Outlook 2007, a login prompt comes up and asks for credentials. After the account is setup, the login prompt will repeatedly prompt throughout the day and is a little annoying. This happened recently as all other machines are not doing this - just a few machines on the network (HP 8200 Elite small form factor machines to be exact) Any help would be much appreciated.

  • Missing computer?

    I'm trying to find a computer at work that we can't find the physical location of. There's no documentation in the inventory of it but it responds to nslookup, ping, and i can log onto it and edit it's files. However, we have no idea where in the building it is. Anyone have any good ideas for finding it outside of making it beep repetitively and annoying people while i run around looking for it?

    I have FireFox as my desktop's default browser (Ubuntu/Gnome 9.10) and most applications open links into FF readily enough, including Choqok (a KDE twitter client). But Kopete insists on opening Konqueror - which is annoying as it takes an age to load, while FF is almost always open an simply needs a new tab. I've checked though the preferences of Kopete, and can't seem to find anything to make it use FF.

    I have my job IMAP account set up in TB 3.0.3. It's becoming very annoying that in group emails where I'm in the CC or TO list I hit "Reply To All" and I find myself in the recipients list. So when I send the email I also get a copy of my own email. I haven't found where to disable or modify this. This doesn't happen with my Gmail account (also set up in TB)

    In emacs, sometimes I will be in the middle of finding a file or switching buffers or doing something in the minibuffer, and I will click somewhere else for some reason. When I go back, the only way to make the minibuffer prompt active again is to click inside the minibuffer, which is annoying because it is a thin area. Is there any way to switch back to an active minibuffer prompt without using the mouse?

  • kerio add-in for outlook disabled after every adobe update

    I'm using outlook 2010 with the kerio toolbar/add-in. Every time I install an update for Adobe (flash player, pdf reader), the kerio add-in gets disabled, which is quite annoying (more so since this is a customer computer and it is hard to get them install updates if these break add-ins they need). Is there a way either to get adobe update not to disable this, or maybe create a script which enables the add-in at user logon?

I found some article which all says to remove Anonymous login from internet receive connector (http://exchangepedia.com/2008/09/how-to-prevent-annoying-spam-from-your-own-domain.html) I think i something misunderstood about those articles, because if i remove the Anonymous connection e-mails did not receive from external address (like gmail - Diagnostic-Code: SMTP; 530 5.7.1 Client was not authenticated) Some pictures about our configuration:
