    I find I frequently use the combination of Suspend (^Z) then send to background (bg) in bash. Ideally I would like an alternate keyboard shortcut that negates the need to follow ^Z with the bg command, and just send the active process straight to background. Does this exist? Edit: I should have been more specific, but appending & to the command is not sufficient, as they often require interaction (stdin) between launch and backgrounding. So: launch interact background

    Let's compare WinRT with .Net .Net .Net is the 13+ years evolution of COM. Three main parts of .Net are execution environment, standard libraries and supported languages. CLR is the native-code execution environment based on COM .Net Framework has a big set of standard libraries (implemented using managed and native code) that can be used from all .Net languages. There are .Net classes that allow using OS APIs. WPF or Silverlight provide a XAML-based UI framework .Net can be used with C++, C#, Javascript, Python, Ruby, VB, LISP, Scheme and many other languages. C++/.Net is a variation of the C++ language that allows interaction with .Net objects. .Net supports inheritance, generics, operator and method overloading and many other features. .Net allows creating apps that run on Windows (XP, 7, 8 Pro (Desktop and Metro), RT, CE, etc), Mac OS, Linux (+ other *nix); iOS, Android, Windows Phone (7, 8); Internet Explorer, Chrome, Firefox; XBox 360, Playstation Suite; raw microprocessors.   • Update MS Windows XP via batch script

    Is it possible to update WXP using a batch script? Basically, I would like to run a batch script, which installs all important updates in the background accepting any dialog boxes which need user interaction. EDIT 1: I know I can enable the "Automatically download and install" option to do this, but I have about 100 computers to do, so it would be nice if it can be done via a batch file. That way, I can use the software we already have to run a batch file on all computers with a single click.

    I am trying to determine if the information shown on this website is the absolute maximum amount of information that a webserver can obtain from a web visitor. Does anyone know of any other sites that will be able to get more information from the user passively like this?     I need to add startup and shutdown scripts from a CLI through a Powershell/Python/CMD script. Ideally, I would like to have the same functionality as gpedit.msc, but it is important that the tasks of adding and removing such scripts do not require user interaction and can be done entirely within the context of a script. I have the following requirements: works on linux can create diffs can use diffs to patch files can handle binary files can handle large files (a few hundred GB should work) no user interaction required (just a console application) ideally, should be able to read from/write to pipes (so that I can pipe into it from a gzip-compressed file and write to one) Does something like that exist?

But I want to prevent paste from happening when the pasted content is not plaintext, but comes from msword or other wysiwyg editor. Anybody got any experience on that? It gives me a lot of functionality such as formatting, clipboard support, printing etc. The sample also allows for DataGrids to be inserted by using an InlineUiContainer. My problem is that the inserted DataGrid is disabled while my requirement is that the user can edit the contents of the DataGrid. How can I make InlineUiContainers that are inserted in a RichTextBox enabled?

    Hello, Is it possible to use the Open XML sdk to manipulate parts of document which is currently open in the ofice app (word/ppt). I know the easiest thing is to use VSTO, but its slow and would involve clipboard use to insert elements, the OXML sdk is direct and simpler.     In Visual Studio debug mode it's possible to hover over variables to show their value and then right-click to "Copy", "Copy Expression" or "Copy Value". In case the variable is an object and not just a basic type, there's a + sign to expand and explore the object. It there a way to copy all that into the clipboard?

    hello .. i have the same code as wx Doodle pad in the wx demos i added a tool to paste images from the clipboard to the pad. using wx.DrawBitmap() function , but whenever i refresh the buffer .and call funtions ( drawSavedLines and drawSavedBitmap) it keeps putting bitmap above line no matter what i did even if i called draw bitmap first and then draw lines . is there anyway to put a line above the bitmap ? please inform me if i miss anything thanx in advance

No problem if the IDE makes it easy to work with constructs like String x = "CREATE TABLE TEST ( \n" + "A INTEGER NOT NULL PRIMARY KEY, \n" ... What is the fastest way to paste a multi-line String from the clipboard into Java source using Eclipse (in a way that it automagically creates code like the above).
