  • Jframe using multiple classes?

    - by user2945880
and im trying to make it so it can show multiple classes at once Jframe: import javax.swing.JFrame; import java.awt.BorderLayout; public class Concert { public static void main(String[] args) { JFrame frame = new JFrame(); frame.setSize(1000, 800); frame.setTitle("Concert!"); frame.setDefaultCloseOperation(JFrame.EXIT_ON_CLOSE); Concertbackground component = new Concertbackground(); BandComponent component1 = new BandComponent(); frame.add(component, BorderLayout.NORTH); frame.add(component1, BorderLayout.CENTER); frame.setVisible(true); } } These are the two classes mentioned in the Jframe: import java.awt.Color; import java.awt.Graphics; import java.awt.Graphics2D; import java.awt.Rectangle; import java.awt.geom.Ellipse2D; import java.awt.geom.Line2D; import javax.swing.JComponent; import java.awt.Polygon; /* BandComponent.java Justin Walker 10/27/13 */ public class BandComponent extends JComponent { public void paintComponent(Graphics g) { // Recover Graphics2D Graphics2D g2 = (Graphics2D) g; I also need to be able to add more than just these two classes to my Jframe.

I am unable to build pyv8 from source on FreeBSD. I have installed the /usr/ports/lang/v8 port, and I'm running into the following error. • broadcom 5722 NIC not installed on Ubuntu Server, although driver present

    - by Bastien
Hello, I just installed Ubuntu Server 10.04 LTS, running kernel 2.6.32-24-server, on a brand new Dell T110 server, supposedly fully compatible with Ubuntu Server. I have two NICs: one ONBOARD, the other additional on PCI. both of them are Broadcom netXtreme 5572. on the first boot of the system, I could see both cards as eth0 and eth1 (with ifconfig) I configured eth0 as static IP (as planned), and did not configure eth1. after rebooting, one of the two NICs "disappeared": it does not appear in ifconfig at all. the one that disappeared is the ONBOARD one. I investigated a bit and found the following things: the card is SEEN, but not "installed", it appears as "UNCLAIMED" in lshw: *-network UNCLAIMED description: Ethernet controller product: NetXtreme BCM5722 Gigabit Ethernet PCI Express vendor: Broadcom Corporation physical id: 0 bus info: pci@0000:04:00.0 version: 00 width: 64 bits clock: 33MHz capabilities: pm vpd msi pciexpress cap_list configuration: latency=0 resources: memory:df9f0000-df9fffff *-network description: Ethernet interface product: NetXtreme BCM5722 Gigabit Ethernet PCI Express vendor: Broadcom Corporation physical id: 0 bus info: pci@0000:05:00.0 logical name: eth0 version: 00 serial: 00:10:18:60:23:64 size: 100MB/s capacity: 1GB/s width: 64 bits clock: 33MHz capabilities: pm vpd msi pciexpress bus_master cap_list ethernet physical tp 10bt 10bt-fd 100bt 100bt-fd 1000bt 1000bt-fd autonegotiation configuration: autonegotiation=on broadcast=yes driver=tg3 driverversion=3.102 duplex=full firmware=5722-v3.09 ip=10.129.167.25 latency=0 link=yes multicast=yes port=twisted pair speed=100MB/s resources: irq:35 memory:dfaf0000-dfafffff so I checked my dmesg and found a few strange lines, showing, there actually is a problem bringing up this card: [ 3.737506] tg3: Could not obtain valid ethernet address, aborting. I've researched everything I could on the net, and found out several people having slightly comparable issues, but they usually involve different HW, and do not provide a proper explanation / solution... I would appreciate if anyone around here has some info to share ! thanks

  • Wget works, Ping doesn't

    - by derty
There are some anomalies on a Virtuozzo virtualized Debian 4 (I know, I'm gonna upgrade this one asap, but there dependences). We run some Websites on this one. And a view Days ago exmi4 wasnt able to send mails to SOME people. I'll use live.com as exampledomain! So some of this people got mails and some didn't. Some of the mails got stuck in the queue, and after 2 days they went out!! My Nagios never showed problems with the internet connection or disk space Now i wanted to install "dig" to look how he's solving the dns request. And this Debian tells me he doesn't know dig.. Long story made short, Debian is able to download sites with exact IP or even with wget live.com, but it is not able to ping live.com. I'm 99% sure that the networking is right and the routing too! Some examples of my tring below: wget live.com downloads the site ping live.com ping http://www.live.com ping http://live.com returns: ping: unknown host live.com EDIT: i now use heise.de not live.com any more. and i found out i can ping the heise.de server by using it's IP-address. myserver:~# ping 193.99.144.85 PING 193.99.144.85 (193.99.144.85) 56(84) bytes of data. 64 bytes from 193.99.144.85: icmp_seq=1 ttl=248 time=12.7 ms 64 bytes from 193.99.144.85: icmp_seq=2 ttl=248 time=12.6 ms 64 bytes from 193.99.144.85: icmp_seq=3 ttl=248 time=12.9 ms 64 bytes from 193.99.144.85: icmp_seq=4 ttl=248 time=13.1 ms 64 bytes from 193.99.144.85: icmp_seq=5 ttl=248 time=13.1 ms --- 193.99.144.85 ping statistics --- 5 packets transmitted, 5 received, 0% packet loss, time 4001ms rtt min/avg/max/mdev = 12.671/12.924/13.163/0.238 ms EDIT 2: myserver:/etc/apt# dig heise.de ; <<>> DiG 9.3.4-P1.2 <<>> heise.de ;; global options: printcmd ;; Got answer: ;; ->>HEADER<<- opcode: QUERY, status: NOERROR, id: 40551 ;; flags: qr rd ra; QUERY: 1, ANSWER: 1, AUTHORITY: 5, ADDITIONAL: 3 ;; QUESTION SECTION: ;heise.de. • Blank black screen with cursor after login -- RHEL5

    - by Sean O.
I have a RHEL 5 machine here which is a Dell Precision T3500. I'm an Ubuntu guy, but I'm having a heck of a time with this machine. After processing its first security update, we cannot log in via the gdm greeter. A new kernel was installed; then I installed the nVidia drivers for our Quadro NVS 295. I know the X configuration is valid because the gdm greeter does display; however, upon login all we can get is a blank, black screen with a cursor. I thought perhaps our python installation was corrupted but a reinstall via yum has not helped. I have searched & googled extensively for a potential fix for this and can find nothing. Below are outputs from uname, a tail of an error in /var/log/messages, and the Xorg.conf. Can anyone suggest a course of action? [sean@cheetah ~]$ uname -a Linux cheetah.*.* 2.6.18-308.8.1.el5 #1 SMP Fri May 4 16:43:02 EDT 2012 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux [sean@cheetah ~]$ sudo tail /var/log/messages Jun 5 15:03:04 cheetah gconfd (sean-4592): Resolved address "xml:readonly:/etc/gconf/gconf.xml.defaults" to a read-only configuration source at position 2 Jun 5 15:03:05 cheetah hcid[3855]: Default passkey agent (:1.8, /org/bluez/applet) registered Jun 5 15:03:05 cheetah pcscd: winscard.c:304:SCardConnect() Reader E-Gate 0 0 Not Found Jun 5 15:03:05 cheetah last message repeated 2 times Jun 5 15:03:06 cheetah gconfd (sean-4592): Resolved address "xml:readwrite:/home/sean/.gconf" to a writable configuration source at position 0 Jun 5 15:03:06 cheetah setroubleshoot: [program.ERROR] exception ImportError: /usr/lib/libatk-1.0.so.0: undefined symbol: g_assertion_message_expr Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/bin/sealert", line 952, in ? from setroubleshoot.gui_utils import * File "/usr/lib/python2.4/site-packages/setroubleshoot/gui_utils.py", line 26, in ? import gtk File "/usr/lib64/python2.4/site-packages/gtk-2.0/gtk/__init__.py", line 48, in ? from gtk import _gtk ImportError: /usr/lib/libatk-1.0.so.0: undefined symbol: g_assertion_message_expr Jun 5 15:03:07 cheetah setroubleshoot: [program.ERROR] exception ImportError: /usr/lib/libatk-1.0.so.0: undefined symbol: g_assertion_message_expr Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/bin/sealert", line 952, in ? from setroubleshoot.gui_utils import * File "/usr/lib/python2.4/site-packages/setroubleshoot/gui_utils.py", line 26, in ? import gtk File "/usr/lib64/python2.4/site-packages/gtk-2.0/gtk/__init__.py", line 48, in ? from gtk import _gtk ImportError: /usr/lib/libatk-1.0.so.0: undefined symbol: g_assertion_message_expr Jun 5 15:03:08 cheetah pcscd: winscard.c:304:SCardConnect() Reader E-Gate 0 0 Not Found Jun 5 15:07:01 cheetah ntpd[4114]: synchronized to 64.16.211.38, stratum 3 Jun 5 15:07:01 cheetah ntpd[4114]: kernel time sync enabled 0001 [sean@cheetah ~]$ cat /etc/X11/xorg.conf # nvidia-xconfig: X configuration file generated by nvidia-xconfig # nvidia-xconfig: version 295.53 ([email protected]) Sat May 12 00:34:20 PDT 2012 # Xorg configuration created by system-config-display Section "ServerLayout" Identifier "single head configuration" Screen 0 "Screen0" 0 0 InputDevice "Mouse0" "CorePointer" InputDevice "Keyboard0" "CoreKeyboard" EndSection Section "InputDevice" # generated from default Identifier "Mouse0" Driver "mouse" Option "Protocol" "auto" Option "Device" "/dev/input/mice" Option "Emulate3Buttons" "no" Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5" EndSection Section "InputDevice" Identifier "Keyboard0" Driver "kbd" Option "XkbModel" "pc105" Option "XkbLayout" "us" EndSection Section "Monitor" ### Comment all HorizSync and VertSync values to use DDC: ### Comment all HorizSync and VertSync values to use DDC: Identifier "Monitor0" ModelName "LCD Panel 1600x1200" HorizSync 31.5 - 74.7 VertRefresh 56.0 - 65.0 Option "dpms" EndSection Section "Device" Identifier "Videocard0" Driver "nvidia" EndSection Section "Screen" Identifier "Screen0" Device "Videocard0" Monitor "Monitor0" DefaultDepth 24 SubSection "Display" Viewport 0 0 Depth 24 EndSubSection EndSection

  • Securing smtp with login

    - by Paul Peelen
I have a ispconfig server, and it seems that someone is using it to send spam. I got about 130 "Mail Delivery System" email about declined send email. This spammer uses my email address as sent from adress, so I get all these email adresses to my mail. I am using Postfix and Courier. I installed my server according to this guide: http://www.howtoforge.com/perfect-server-debian-lenny-ispconfig3-p3 I did this a few months ago. My question: Can I secure my server to require login to be able to send email, and if so... how? Thanks! • How to disable proxy requests once a server has been added to spammers "open proxy" list?

    - by Matt
Hello all, I've just started in a new company, and have been going over the setup of their Apache webserver conf files... only to find that they've had their apache servers set up as open proxies available to all the world for the last two months. I've already set ProxyRequests Off in the httpd.conf file and restarted the web server, but the access log file is still growing at a horrendous rate (about a gig a day). I noticed that another question was posted on here about this (http://serverfault.com/questions/63715/apache-hit-with-proxy-request), but their access log was supposedly returning 404 errors, while mine appears to be returning 403 and 404 codes... Is this correct? Here are a few lines out of my access log: 87.118.118.124 - - [16/Mar/2010:10:56:36 -0400] "GET http://www.c5interlude.ru/torrent/viewtopic.php?p=2501 HTTP/1.0" 404 219 "http://www.c5interlude.ru/torrent/viewtopic.php?p=2501" "Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; .NET CLR 1.1.4322)" 117.41.184.27 - - [16/Mar/2010:10:56:36 -0400] "GET http://ad.xtendmedia.com/st?ad_type=iframe&ad_size=300x250&section=790074 HTTP/1.0" 404 200 "http://www.newbiegamer.com" "Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.0; Alexa Toolbar)" 122.224.55.222 - - [16/Mar/2010:10:56:36 -0400] "GET http://www.188woool.net/\xb4\xf3\xd4\xcb\xb4\xab\xca\xc0.rar HTTP/1.1" 403 214 "http://www.188woool.net/\xb4\xf3\xd4\xcb\xb4\xab\xca\xc0.rar" "Mozilla/4.0" 58.55.21.40 - - [16/Mar/2010:10:56:36 -0400] "GET http://www.cpx24.com/ad1.js HTTP/1.0" 404 204 "http://thebighits.com/?id=aibux" "Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.01; Windows NT 5.0)" 122.226.223.188 - - [16/Mar/2010:10:56:36 -0400] "GET http://ad.reduxmedia.com/st?ad_type=iframe&ad_size=160x600&section=798636 HTTP/1.0" 404 200 "http://www.gvvu.com" "Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.5; AOL 6.0; Windows 98; Win 9x 4.90)" 84.51.109.31 - - [16/Mar/2010:10:56:36 -0400] "GET http://www.kslp.ru/forum/index.php HTTP/1.0" 404 213 "http://www.kslp.ru/forum/index.php" "Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 7.0b; Windows NT 6.0 ; .NET CLR 2.0.50215; SL Commerce Client v1.0; Tablet PC 2.0" 122.224.48.49 - - [16/Mar/2010:10:56:36 -0400] "GET http://www1.vip218.com/\xb2\xca\xba\xe7\xb4\xab\xca\xc0.exe HTTP/1.1" 403 214 "http://www1.vip218.com/\xb2\xca\xba\xe7\xb4\xab\xca\xc0.exe" "Mozilla/4.0" 117.41.184.27 - - [16/Mar/2010:10:56:36 -0400] "GET http://ad.xtendmedia.com/st?ad_type=iframe&ad_size=728x90&section=657624 HTTP/1.0" 404 200 "http://www.raiseanimals.com" "Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows 98; Alexa Toolbar)" And my corresponding error log entries: [Tue Mar 16 10:56:36 2010] [error] [client 87.118.118.124] File does not exist: C:/public_html/torrent, referer: http://www.c5interlude.ru/torrent/viewtopic.php?p=2501 [Tue Mar 16 10:56:36 2010] [error] [client 117.41.184.27] File does not exist: C:/public_html/st, referer: http://www.newbiegamer.com [Tue Mar 16 10:56:36 2010] [error] [client 122.224.55.222] (22)Invalid argument: Cannot map GET http://www.188woool.net/\xb4\xf3\xd4\xcb\xb4\xab\xca\xc0.rar HTTP/1.1 to file, referer: http://www.188woool.net/\xb4\xf3\xd4\xcb\xb4\xab\xca\xc0.rar [Tue Mar 16 10:56:36 2010] [error] [client 58.55.21.40] File does not exist: C:/public_html/ad1.js, referer: http://thebighits.com/?id=aibux [Tue Mar 16 10:56:36 2010] [error] [client 122.226.223.188] File does not exist: C:/public_html/st, referer: http://www.gvvu.com [Tue Mar 16 10:56:36 2010] [error] [client 84.51.109.31] File does not exist: C:/public_html/forum, referer: http://www.kslp.ru/forum/index.php [Tue Mar 16 10:56:36 2010] [error] [client 122.224.48.49] (22)Invalid argument: Cannot map GET http://www1.vip218.com/\xb2\xca\xba\xe7\xb4\xab\xca\xc0.exe HTTP/1.1 to file, referer: http://www1.vip218.com/\xb2\xca\xba\xe7\xb4\xab\xca\xc0.exe [Tue Mar 16 10:56:36 2010] [error] [client 117.41.184.27] File does not exist: C:/public_html/st, referer: http://www.raiseanimals.com Does this in fact look like the server is blocking them correctly, and is there anything else that I could do better to cut down on my access log size? • Oracle Virtual Server OEL vm fails to start - kernel panic on cpu identify

I am in the process of following a guide to setup various oracle vm templates, so far I have installed OVS 2. 2 and got the OVM Manager working, imported the template for OEL5U5 and created a vm from it.. the problem comes when starting that vm. • iCloud stuff stops working while connected to OpenVPN

    - by Taco Bob
I have a fairly simple OpenVPN setup on an OpenVZ VPS with Ubuntu 11.10. Client is the Viscosity client on Mac OS X 10.8.2, and after some testing, we can rule out the client as being part of the problem. Everything has been working fine except for Apple's iCloud stuff. Web surfing, email, FTP, NNTP, and Skype are all working as expected. It's ONLY the iCloud services that cease to function. If I connect to the VPN, iCloud stuff stops working. I no longer get anything in Messages, Calendar items don't get updated, and Notifications stop working. If I disconnect, the iCloud stuff all starts working. Connect again, iCloud stops working. Here's the server.conf: status openvpn-status.log log /var/log/openvpn.log verb 4 port 1194 proto udp dev tun ca /etc/openvpn/ca.crt cert /etc/openvpn/server.crt key /etc/openvpn/server.key dh /etc/openvpn/dh1024.pem server 10.9.8.0 255.255.255.0 ifconfig-pool-persist ipp.txt push "redirect-gateway def1" push “dhcp-option DNS 10.9.8.1? keepalive 10 120 duplicate-cn cipher BF-CBC comp-lzo user nobody group nogroup persist-key persist-tun tun-mtu 1500 mssfix 1400 I'm using iptables in a script, and it's also fairly simplistic. iptables -F iptables -t nat -F iptables -t mangle -F iptables -A FORWARD -i tun0 -o venet0 -j ACCEPT iptables -A FORWARD -i venet0 -o tun0 -j ACCEPT iptables -A INPUT -p tcp --dport 22 -j ACCEPT iptables -A INPUT -p tcp --dport 1194 -j ACCEPT iptables -A INPUT -p udp --dport 1194 -j ACCEPT iptables -t nat -A POSTROUTING -s 10.9.8.0/24 -j SNAT --to-source <server's public ip> echo 1 > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward I tried forwarding ports as well, with no success. iptables -A FORWARD -p tcp -d 10.9.8.0/24 --dport 5222:5230 -j ACCEPT iptables -t nat -A PREROUTING -p tcp --dport 5222:5230 -j DNAT --to-destination 10.9.8.6 I am also sometimes behind a double-NAT situation that I have no control over. Client -> work VPN -> my OpenVPN box -> Internet. Client -> Airport Express -> ISP (which is doing NAT) -> my OpenVPN box -> Internet. Those two situations are just the fact of life where I am, and I cannot change them. I do have full control over my client and the OpenVPN server. I am completely out of ideas. I have posted a similar query at the OpenVPN forums, but it hasn't posted yet and seems to be in their moderation queue still. Tried on freenode irc channels, but nobody is awake, so here I am. I have Googled extensively for this, and can find nothing that is related. Help me get iCloud stuff working again! (I tried serverfault, it was closed as off-topic. I'm trying here and the Unix site as well. Here because it's a more general audience that might know more about OpenVPN based on the number of questions I see asked about it) EDIT: -I have also tried upgrading to Version: 2.3-beta1-debian0 - issue persists. -Removed all iptables rules except for the ones that flush -left this rule:iptables -t nat -A POSTROUTING -s 10.9.8.0/24 -j SNAT --to-source (server ip) -added iptables -A FORWARD -m state --state RELATED,ESTABLISHED -j ACCEPT still, nothing works. I can see traffic in tcpdump on the server if i watch the tunnel: 20:03:48.702835 IP nk11p01st-courier105-bz.push.apple.com.5223 10.9.8.6.60772: Flags [F.], seq 2635, ack 1218, win 76, options [nop, nop,TS val 914984811 ecr 745921298], length 0 20:03:48.911244 IP 10.9.8.6.60772 nk11p01st-courier105-bz.push.apple.com.5223: Flags [R], seq 3621143451, win 0, length 0 But still, no push messages/notifications are ever delivered. :/ EDIT: * Further testing indicates that it might actually be the client after all.

  • Determining the required depth and specifications for a server cabinet

    - by Bingu Bingme
I'm trying to understand the considerations ("why") that go into determining the specifications ("what") for a rackmount server cabinet, in order to determine what sort of rack I should purchase for my home use. Since this is for home use, I won't be following certain best practices (eg. hot/cold aisle, not even air conditioning) and may be willing to sacrifice in various areas in order to reduce cost and footprint - but please advise if there are safety concerns or other considerations to note. The most basic specs for a server cabinet are the dimensions (external width x external depth x usable height). Width: commonly 600mm or 800mm (if the use case requires extra clearance around the sides, such as if there is lots of cabling). In my case and most common cases, I'm going to stick with 600mm. Height: Select a sufficiently tall rack to fit my equipment. But how much may I stuff into it? Eg, if there is a 15U rack, can I really populate it with 15U of servers, or should I leave 1U at top and bottom for air circulation? Depth: Racks commonly have external depth of 600mm (network equipment), 800mm, 1000mm, or even longer. I'm trying to see how to fit into the 800mm depth. With reference to http://www.server-racks.com/rack-mount-depth.html, I'm hoping to have the front and rear posts mounted ~ 28.5" (72cm) apart, which would leave only 8cm for front space and rear space. How much rear space (from rear posts to back of rack) do I really need? I won't use cable management arms, so can I mount a 72cm depth server since the power, KVM, network cables won't take up much depth? My most important equipment are all < 60cm depth (4U chassis) and should comfortably fit within the 800mm cabinet. The rest of the equipment are very old 1U servers that range from 65-72cm depth. I might still want to make further use of them, or I might discard them since they are so old. Even if the 72cm servers cannot be powered on in an 800mm rack, I should be able to use them as 1U shelves. But, what server depth can I expect to be able to operate? Or am I forced to upgrade to 1000mm depth racks in order to use any servers deeper than 60cm? With reference to best practices for HP racks, some other specs and installation considerations: There aren't any minimum recommendations for clearance on the sides of the rack. It is recommended to leave 48" front clearance. The 48" front clearance is based on 32" chassis depth, 13" to extend the rack rails and mate the inner/outer rails, and 3" for movement. If I don't use such rails (eg, use shelves instead), it should be sufficient to leave front clearance of chassis depth + 3". It is recommended to leave 30" rear clearance "to provide space for servicing the rack". I'm planning to back the rack into a corner of the room, and wheel it slightly out when I need to access the rear. If the wheeling plan is ok, I still need to know how much rear clearance is required for air circulation and ventilation purposes. Castor wheels and stabilising feet. Since I'm backing the rack into a corner of the room, I'll only be able to set the stabilising feet on the front corners. Thoughts on safety? The rack that I'm considering has front glass doors with side ventilation slits and fully perforated rear doors. I'm hoping this will be a good balance between temperature and noise (only ventilation slits facing out the front, while the rear is facing the walls). Or is the sound of high-rpm fans going to escape through the front slits anyway and destroy my sanity?

  • Excessive denied requests for port 58322 in syslog

    - by Nathan C.
My iptables is setup to block all unneeded ports as it should but I'm checking my syslog due to these random but all-to-frequent apache2 crashes and I noticed a lot of requests such as this. In all the archived syslogs that I have these are present from different IP addresses. There is a similar question with an accepted here: What service uses UDP port 60059? • Permission Mystery - apt-get and other system utilities have 000 permissions

    - by emteh
I'm trying to track down this strange behavoir for years now. Always after installing software-updates the permissions of a lot of system-tools are broken as you can see below. I am reasonable convinced that the machine is not owned by someone else. Regular security updates + grsecurity kernel + pax + daily rkhunter runs. Besides that there is no incentive for an attacker to fiddle in such obvious ways with the system. I installed bastille linux (http://bastille-linux.sourceforge.net/) und tried to deinstall it later, so the problems could be related to that. However I don't see how this can happen in a regular way after updates. System: Ubuntu 10.04, recently updated to Ubuntu 12.04 but the problem persists. Apt-Configuration in /etc/apt/ looks sane to me. But nevertheless - could here be the source of the trouble? DPkg::Pre-Install-Pkgs {"/usr/sbin/dpkg-preconfigure --apt || true";}; DPkg::Post-Invoke { "if [ -x /usr/bin/debsums ]; then /usr/bin/debsums -- generate=nocheck -sp /var/cache/apt/archives; fi"; }; // Makes sure that rkhunter file properties database is updated // after each remove or install only APT_AUTOGEN is enabled DPkg::Post-Invoke { "if [ -x /usr/bin/rkhunter ] && grep -qiE '^APT_AUTOGEN=.? (true|yes)' /etc/default/rkhunter; then /usr/share/rkhunter/scripts/rkhupd.sh; fi" } DPkg::Post-Invoke {"if [ -d /var/lib/update-notifier ]; then touch /var/lib/update- notifier/dpkg-run-stamp; fi; if [ -e /var/lib/update-notifier/updates-available ]; then echo > /var/lib/update-notifier/updates-available; fi "; }; Where do these chmod 000 come from? • /phpTest/zologize/axa.php? Another botnet?

    - by M132
    Starring at the log made me think, what is /phpTest/zologize/axa.php and why are bots looking for it? Previously, I had lots of /HNAP1/ requests. Requesting /HNAP1/ from IPs from log revealed, that all of them were sent by Linksys routers. 3 months later, these requests turned out to be generated by a router worm called TheMoon. But requesting /phpTest/zologize/axa.php from these servers returns a 404 error. How these servers got infected, and how can I protect mine from this? 124.11.224.69 - - [02/Feb/2014:00:37:16 +0100] "GET /phpTest/zologize/axa.php HTTP/1.1" 404 168 "-" "-" 140.113.238.121 - - [21/Feb/2014:01:24:32 +0100] "GET /phpTest/zologize/axa.php HTTP/1.1" 404 168 "-" "-" 77.121.132.79 - - [22/Feb/2014:00:03:56 +0100] "GET /phpTest/zologize/axa.php HTTP/1.1" 404 168 "-" "-" 142.4.201.210 - - [24/Feb/2014:21:54:33 +0100] "GET /phpTest/zologize/axa.php HTTP/1.1" 404 168 "-" "-" 212.83.168.39 - - [24/Feb/2014:23:16:00 +0100] "GET /phpTest/zologize/axa.php HTTP/1.1" 404 168 "-" "-" 87.117.229.210 - - [26/Feb/2014:06:34:58 +0100] "GET /phpTest/zologize/axa.php HTTP/1.1" 404 162 "-" "-" 78.100.82.99 - - [26/Feb/2014:08:25:48 +0100] "GET /phpTest/zologize/axa.php HTTP/1.1" 404 162 "-" "-" 198.50.205.219 - - [26/Feb/2014:09:59:11 +0100] "GET /phpTest/zologize/axa.php HTTP/1.1" 404 162 "-" "-" 210.60.142.107 - - [27/Feb/2014:00:12:12 +0100] "GET /phpTest/zologize/axa.php HTTP/1.1" 404 162 "-" "-" 101.109.4.73 - - [27/Feb/2014:08:50:46 +0100] "GET /phpTest/zologize/axa.php HTTP/1.1" 404 162 "-" "-" 61.91.128.158 - - [27/Feb/2014:08:59:15 +0100] "GET /phpTest/zologize/axa.php HTTP/1.1" 404 162 "-" "-" 201.188.41.175 - - [27/Feb/2014:11:25:42 +0100] "GET /phpTest/zologize/axa.php HTTP/1.1" 404 162 "-" "-" 220.133.137.2 - - [27/Feb/2014:12:12:46 +0100] "GET /phpTest/zologize/axa.php HTTP/1.1" 404 162 "-" "-" 203.156.104.88 - - [28/Feb/2014:18:11:49 +0100] "GET /phpTest/zologize/axa.php HTTP/1.1" 404 162 "-" "-" 61.19.52.58 - - [28/Feb/2014:22:02:56 +0100] "GET /phpTest/zologize/axa.php HTTP/1.1" 404 162 "-" "-" 84.2.92.40 - - [28/Feb/2014:23:04:17 +0100] "GET /phpTest/zologize/axa.php HTTP/1.1" 404 162 "-" "-" 58.64.205.11 - - [01/Mar/2014:06:08:33 +0100] "GET /phpTest/zologize/axa.php HTTP/1.1" 200 21 "-" "-" 113.61.200.151 - - [01/Mar/2014:18:25:25 +0100] "GET /phpTest/zologize/axa.php HTTP/1.1" 200 21 "-" "-" 178.33.219.12 - - [03/Mar/2014:14:41:48 +0100] "GET /phpTest/zologize/axa.php HTTP/1.1" 200 21 "-" "-" 74.63.220.132 - - [04/Mar/2014:01:16:44 +0100] "GET /phpTest/zologize/axa.php HTTP/1.1" 200 21 "-" "-" 187.141.230.106 - - [04/Mar/2014:15:39:26 +0100] "GET /phpTest/zologize/axa.php HTTP/1.1" 200 21 "-" "-" 103.22.181.146 - - [09/May/2014:17:16:56 +0200] "GET /phpTest/zologize/axa.php HTTP/1.1" 502 166 "-" "-" 176.31.200.14 - - [10/May/2014:19:52:24 +0200] "GET /phpTest/zologize/axa.php HTTP/1.1" 200 68 "-" "-" 124.120.92.70 - - [12/May/2014:16:19:40 +0200] "GET /phpTest/zologize/axa.php HTTP/1.1" 200 68 "-" "-" 219.85.198.142 - - [15/May/2014:19:21:22 +0200] "GET /phpTest/zologize/axa.php HTTP/1.1" 200 37 "-" "-" 80.84.53.226 - - [23/May/2014:08:58:25 +0200] "GET /phpTest/zologize/axa.php HTTP/1.1" 200 37 "-" "-" 87.213.11.165 - - [25/May/2014:06:20:27 +0200] "GET /phpTest/zologize/axa.php HTTP/1.1" 200 37 "-" "-" 122.116.220.106 - - [25/May/2014:07:10:21 +0200] "GET /phpTest/zologize/axa.php HTTP/1.1" 200 37 "-" "-" 58.8.128.30 - - [29/May/2014:02:43:49 +0200] "GET /phpTest/zologize/axa.php HTTP/1.1" 200 37 "-" "-" 142.4.197.135 - - [29/May/2014:11:36:45 +0200] "GET /phpTest/zologize/axa.php HTTP/1.1" 200 37 "-" "-" 178.32.243.65 - - [30/May/2014:01:59:53 +0200] "GET /phpTest/zologize/axa.php HTTP/1.1" 200 37 "-" "-" 58.8.164.221 - - [30/May/2014:14:04:16 +0200] "GET /phpTest/zologize/axa.php HTTP/1.1" 200 37 "-" "-" 140.127.182.15 - - [01/Jun/2014:14:45:40 +0200] "GET /phpTest/zologize/axa.php HTTP/1.1" 200 37 "-" "-" 218.166.43.21 - - [01/Jun/2014:16:07:52 +0200] "GET /phpTest/zologize/axa.php HTTP/1.1" 200 37 "-" "-" 178.32.188.140 - - [01/Jun/2014:19:11:46 +0200] "GET /phpTest/zologize/axa.php HTTP/1.1" 200 37 "-" "-" 94.23.211.173 - - [05/Jun/2014:00:52:52 +0200] "GET /phpTest/zologize/axa.php HTTP/1.1" 200 37 "-" "-" 120.117.105.201 - - [05/Jun/2014:04:39:39 +0200] "GET /phpTest/zologize/axa.php HTTP/1.1" 200 37 "-" "-" 187.172.27.146 - - [05/Jun/2014:10:20:22 +0200] "GET /phpTest/zologize/axa.php HTTP/1.1" 200 37 "-" "-" 203.195.219.91 - - [05/Jun/2014:10:53:42 +0200] "GET /phpTest/zologize/axa.php HTTP/1.1" 200 37 "-" "-"

  • Is this valid JFS partition?

    - by Coolmax
    This is my first question on StackExchange. My teacher gave my his laptop (with Fedora 16 on it) and compact flash card with data. He want to have access to files on card, but he couldn't get access to it. The problem is Linux don't know what type of partion is. I suppose there is JFS: root@debian:~# dmesg |grep sdc [ 9066.908223] sd 3:0:0:1: [sdc] 3940272 512-byte logical blocks: (2.01 GB/1.87 GiB) [ 9066.962307] sd 3:0:0:1: [sdc] Write Protect is off [ 9066.962310] sd 3:0:0:1: [sdc] Mode Sense: 03 00 00 00 [ 9066.962312] sd 3:0:0:1: [sdc] Assuming drive cache: write through [ 9067.028420] sd 3:0:0:1: [sdc] Assuming drive cache: write through [ 9067.028637] sdc: unknown partition table [ 9067.097065] sd 3:0:0:1: [sdc] Assuming drive cache: write through [ 9067.097281] sd 3:0:0:1: [sdc] Attached SCSI removable disk and some of data: root@debian:~# hexdump -Cn 65536 /dev/sdc 00000000 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 |................| * 00008000 4a 46 53 31 01 00 00 00 48 63 0e 00 00 00 00 00 |JFS1....Hc......| 00008010 00 10 00 00 0c 00 03 00 00 02 00 00 09 00 00 00 |................| 00008020 00 20 00 00 00 09 20 10 02 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 |. .... .........| 00008030 04 00 00 00 26 00 00 00 02 00 00 00 24 00 00 00 |....&.......$...| 00008040 41 03 00 00 16 00 00 00 00 02 00 00 a0 cc 01 00 |A...............| 00008050 37 00 00 00 69 cc 01 00 b6 d8 ac 4b 00 00 00 00 |7...i......K....| 00008060 32 00 00 00 02 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 |2...............| 00008070 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 |................| 00008080 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 90 15 e5 5f e3 c4 45 fa |..........._..E.| 00008090 9d 6a 5c b5 4f da 62 1a 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 |.j\.O.b.........| 000080a0 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 c3 c9 01 00 ed 81 00 00 |................| 000080b0 01 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 |................| 000080c0 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 |................| * [cut] * 0000f000 4a 46 53 31 01 00 00 00 48 63 0e 00 00 00 00 00 |JFS1....Hc......| 0000f010 00 10 00 00 0c 00 03 00 00 02 00 00 09 00 00 00 |................| 0000f020 00 20 00 00 00 09 20 10 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 |. .... .........| 0000f030 04 00 00 00 26 00 00 00 02 00 00 00 24 00 00 00 |....&.......$...| 0000f040 41 03 00 00 16 00 00 00 00 02 00 00 a0 cc 01 00 |A...............| 0000f050 37 00 00 00 69 cc 01 00 b6 d8 ac 4b 00 00 00 00 |7...i......K....| 0000f060 32 00 00 00 02 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 |2...............| 0000f070 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 |................| 0000f080 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 90 15 e5 5f e3 c4 45 fa |..........._..E.| 0000f090 9d 6a 5c b5 4f da 62 1a 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 |.j\.O.b.........| 0000f0a0 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 c3 c9 01 00 ed 81 00 00 |................| 0000f0b0 01 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 |................| 0000f0c0 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 |................| * 00010000 I'm total newbie to filesystems. I googled and found that JFS superblock may starts on 0x8000 offset. But what next? How to mount this card? If there would be normal partition table I would expect 55 AA on 510th and 511th byte, but first 8000 bytes are clear. Any help would be greatly appreciated. And sorry for my bad english :) Kind regards.

  • Print directly to CUPS server from non-local clients (Ubuntu 14.04)

    - by OEP
I set up a CUPS server with a few queues and printing from local clients (the CUPS test page and Samba) seems to work just fine. It seems like the CUPS server is denying non-local clients though: 130.127.48.70 - - [03/Jun/2014:14:29:19 -0400] "POST /printers/m137 HTTP/1.1" 200 390 Validate-Job successful-ok 130.127.48.70 - - [03/Jun/2014:14:29:19 -0400] "POST /printers/m137 HTTP/1.1" 200 339 Create-Job client-error-not-authorized localhost - - [03/Jun/2014:14:40:50 -0400] "POST /printers/m137 HTTP/1.1" 200 410869 Print-Job successful-ok This makes me think I have some sort of host-based restriction in my configuration file, but I can't find it. I've even set my default policy to Allow all only to get the same log message. I'm working from a configuration file which had previously worked on an older version of CUPS, which looks quite similar to the example cupsd.conf. I could be wrong but it looks like that final <Limit All> block ought to allow the actions the logs complain about. • High Server Load cannot figure out why

    - by Tim Bolton
My server is currently running CentOS 5.2, with WHM 11.34. Currently, we're at 6.43 to 12 for a load average. The sites that we're hosting are taking a lot time to respond and resolve. top doesn't show anything out of the ordinary and iftop doesn't show a lot of traffic. We have many resellers, and some not so good at writing code, how can we find the culprit? vmstat output: vmstat procs -----------memory---------- ---swap-- -----io---- --system-- -----cpu------ r b • Kubuntu 12.04 - Touchpad and keyboard stopped working at random

    - by StepTNT
As in the title, I've got this problem with my Kubuntu 12.04. At first I've thought that the whole system was hung, but it happened again 5 minutes ago and, while the keyboard and the touchpad stopped working, the music was still playing, so I guess that's just an "input" problem, because the system was still working! Any solution? Is there some data that you need to know about my setup? EDIT: Added my lshw outout description: Notebook product: N53SV () vendor: ASUSTeK Computer Inc. version: 1.0 serial: B2N0AS17695408A width: 64 bits capabilities: smbios-2.6 dmi-2.6 vsyscall32 • Macbook OSX applications crashing on startup

    - by Ryan Doom
Closed my computer last night, went home. Opened it and it had restarted. Now when I open a couple programs such as Adobe Fireworks or Appcelerator Titanium they throw up a nasty error like below. Other programs (Chrome, Firefox, Textmate, Versions) works fine. Any thoughts on this? I haven't owned my Macbook long so I'm not even aware of the right tools or places to look to track this down. Any help would be most appreciated. It's making it hard to get my work done :] If it helps at all both those programs were probably open when it restarted. From the look of it I'm not sure if it's a permissions error or something? I completely re-installed on of the applications Titanium. Didn't seem to help.
