  • Cygwin make always processing target

    - by Michael
However it happens only on Windows 7. On Windows XP once it built and intact, no more builds. I narrowed down the issue to one prerequisite - $(jar_target_dir). Here is part of the code # The location where the JAR file will be created. jar_target_dir := $(build_dir)/chrome # The main chrome JAR file. chrome_jar_file := $(jar_target_dir)/$(extension_name).jar # The root of the JAR sources. jar_source_root := chrome # The sources for the JAR file. jar_sources := bla #... some files, doesn't matter jar_sources_no_dir := $(subst $(jar_source_root)/,,$(jar_sources)) $(chrome_jar_file): $(jar_sources) $(jar_target_dir) @echo "Creating chrome JAR file." @cd $(jar_source_root); $(ZIP) ../$(chrome_jar_file) $(jar_sources_no_dir) @echo "Creating chrome JAR file. Done!" $(jar_target_dir): $(build_dir) echo "Creating jar target dir..." if [ ! -x $(jar_target_dir) ]; \ then \ mkdir $(jar_target_dir); \ fi $(build_dir): @if [ ! -x $(build_dir) ]; \ then \ mkdir $(build_dir); \ fi so if I just remove $(jar_target_dir) from $(chrome_jar_file) rule, it works fine.

  • With EJB 2.1, is declaring references to resources in ejb-jar.xml required?

    - by zwerd328
I'm using Weblogic 9.2 with a lot of MDBs. These MDBs access JDBC DataSources and write to both locally and externally managed JMS Destinations using local and foreign XAConnectionFactorys, respectively. Each MDB demarcates a container-managed JTA transaction that should be distributed amongst all of these resources. Below is an excerpt from my ejb-jar.xml for an MDB that consumes from a local Queue called "MyDestination" and produces to an IBM Websphere MQ Queue called "MyOtherDestination". These logical names are linked to physical objects in my weblogic-ejb-jar.xml file. Is it required to use the <resource-ref> and <message-destination-ref> tags to expose the ConnectionFactory and Queue to the MDB? If so, is it required by Weblogic or is it required by the J2EE spec? And for what purpose? For example, is it required to support XA transactionality? I'm already aware of the benefit of decoupling the administered objects from my MDB using names exposed to the naming context of the MDB. Is this the only value added when specifying these tags? In other words, is it acceptable to just reference these objects from my MDB using the InitialContext and the objects' fully-qualified names? <enterprise-bean> <message-driven> <ejb-name>MyMDB</ejb-name> <ejb-class>com.mycompany.MyMessageDrivenBean</ejb-class> <transaction-type>Container</transaction-type> <message-destination-type>javax.jms.Queue</message-destination> <message-destination-link>MyDestination</message-destination-link> <resource-ref> <res-ref-name>jms/myQCF</res-ref-name> <res-type>javax.jms.XAConnectionFactory</res-type> <res-auth>Container</res-auth> </resource-ref> <message-destination-ref> <message-destination-ref-name>jms/myOtherDestination</message-destination-ref-name> <message-destination-type>javax.jms.Queue</message-destination-type> <message-destination-usage>Produces</message-destination-usage> <message-destination-link>MyOtherDestination</message-destination-link> </message-destination-ref> </message-driven> <enterprise-bean>

  • Is it possible to set an android icon from a drawable in a separate jar?

    - by Rpond
I want to set a menu option icon for a drawable that is in another jar inside an xml file. <item android:id="@+id/my_location" android:title="My Location" android:icon="@+drawable/my_location"> Instead of drawable/my_location have something like com.somelib.R.drawable.someDrawable. I can set this in onCreateOptionsMenu but was just wondering if it could be done via the xml file.

  • How to jar java source files from different (sub-)directories?

    - by Holger
Consider the following directory structure: ./source/com/mypackage/../A.java ./extensions/extension1/source/com/mypackage/../T.java ./extensions/extension2/source/com/mypackage/../U.java ... ./extensions/extensionN/source/com/mypackage/../Z.java I want to produce a source jar with the following contents: com/mypackage/../A.java com/mypackage/../T.java com/mypackage/../U.java ... com/mypackage/../Z.java I know I could use a fileset for each source directory. But is there an easy solution using ANT without having to refer to all extensions explicitly?

  • Is there a standard place to store Spring library jar files?

    - by richj
I've downloaded Spring 3.0.2 with dependencies and found that it contains 405 jar files. I usually keep third party libraries in a "lib" subdirectory, but there are so many Spring jars that it seems sensible to keep them separately so that they don't swamp the other libraries and to simplify version upgrades. I suspect that I want to keep the full set of libraries in Subversion, but only deploy the subset that is actually used. Do Spring users have a standard way to deal with this problem?

  • should I put the jar dependancies on the shared repo or just the source files ?

    - by ashy_32bit
We have a Scala project with few source files (in Scala and Java) and quite some dependencies in various binary formats (jar and DLL). I'm wondering what should go into our shared git repo. Only the source files (developers have to download or somehow resolve the dependencies themselves) or the both the source files and the dependencies? I may add that dependencies are all third parties and available for download for free.

  • Sonar Analysis crashing with default configuration in Maven

    - by Robert Mandeville
I'm starting to experiment with Sonar, and having trouble. I'm running everything on the same Red Hat Linux server, against Java 1.6.10. I launched the server with "bin/linux-x86-32" (the JVM is 32-bit). The sonar.log shows no SEVERE or ERROR and one WARNING, that I'm using the default Derby database (I'll fix that once I get things running at all). I am trying to build a Maven project that builds a JAR. I made no Sonar-specific changes (other than one described below). I can run "mvn clean install" with no problem. However, if I then run "mvn -e sonar:sonar", I get the stacktrace listed below. The server logs no events. I added the dependency "commons-pool:commons-pool:20030825.183949, but to no avail. Any idea as to what I'm doing wrong? [INFO] Error stacktraces are turned on. [INFO] Scanning for projects... • Tomcat - additional classpath

    - by s5804
We have set up Tomcat 6 with [TOMCAT_HOME]/lib - here is the standard tomcat release [TOMCAT_BASE]/lib - here we like to add non standard additional jar file However somehow I don't manage to get [TOMCAT_BASE]/lib jar files to be picked up by Tomcat. It appears that all my jar files out side tomcat are ignored. Before starting Tomcat I set the CLASSPATH=[TOMCAT_BASE]\lib -------- Edit JAVA_ENDORSED_DIRS can be used for adding an additional folder with jar files to be loaded by Tomcat

  • Why does Java tell me my applet contains both signed and unsigned code?

    - by JohnCooperNZ
My signed Java applet has been running fine until Java update 19. Now some but not all of our users on Java Update 19 report a java security message stating that our applet contains both signed and unsigned code. The process for creating our applet is as follows: 1: Clean and Build the applet project in Netbeans IDE. 2: Open the Applet jar file in WinRAR and add the required mysql JDBC driver .class files to the jar file. 3: Sign the applet jar file. Can someone please tell me how to determine what code is signed and what code is not signed in our applet? Is there a better way to include the mysql JDBC driver jar file in our applet other than copying the jar file contents into our applet jar file? Thanks

  • Building Eclipse RCP application, running fails

    - by Raven
Hi, after successfully building my application the start fails because it relies on config files which are located in the META-INF directory and after the build this directory is zipped into a jar file, hence making it unable to access the config files. After manually unzipping the jar, deleting the jar and renaming the directory with xxx.jar the program runs without a problem. The config files are needed for SSO login (Kerberos). Here is the code: Bundle bundle = Platform.getBundle(Application.PLUGIN_ID); String path; try { path = new URL(bundle.getLocation().substring(18)).getPath(); } catch (MalformedURLException e1) { System.out.println(e1); path=""; } System.setProperty("java.security.auth.login.config",path+"META-INF/jaas-win.config"); Path variable contains something like "plugin/mydomain.pluginame-xxxx.jar/" But it seems that the System needs the jar unzipped. That am I doing wrong building the app? Thanks

  • How to override ant task stored in ant lib directory

    - by mchr
At my work we use AspectJ in some of our Java projects. To get this to work with ant builds we have been placing aspectjtools.jar within ant/lib/. I am now working on a particular Java project and need to use a newer version of aspectJ. I don't want to have to get everyone who uses the project to update their local copy of aspectjtools.jar. Instead, I tried adding the newer aspectjtools.jar to the lib directory of the project and adding the following line to build.xml. <taskdef resource="org/aspectj/tools/ant/taskdefs/aspectjTaskdefs.properties" classpath="./lib/aspectjtools.jar" /> However, this doesn't work as I hoped as the ANT classloader loads jars from ant/lib/ in preference to the jar I specify in the taskdef classpath. Is there any way to force ant to pick the jar checked into my project instead?

  • Resolving SNAPSHOT dependencies with timestamps from Ivy

    - by bradhouse
    I am attempting to resolve timestamped SNAPSHOT dependencies with Ivy. The environment is Ant + Ivy 1.2.0 + Archiva. Archiva itself is populated from Maven2 builds. Ivy is only used to resolve dependencies (from a single, non Maven2 project). How can Ivy be configured to correctly resolve timestamped artifacts from an Archiva or m2 repository? For reference my current configuration is: ivysettings.xml looks similar to: <ivysettings> <settings defaultResolver="archiva-chain"/> <resolvers> <chain name="archiva-chain" changingPattern=".*SNAPSHOT" checkmodified="true"> <ibiblio name="archiva-internal" m2compatible="true" usepoms="true" pattern="[organization]/[module]/[revision]/[artifact]-[revision].[ext]" root="http://host:port/archiva/repository/internal"/> <ibiblio name="archiva-deploy" m2compatible="true" usepoms="true" pattern="[organization]/[module]/[revision]/[artifact]-[revision].[ext]" root="http://host:port/archiva/repository/deploy"/> <ibiblio name="archiva-snapshots" m2compatible="true" usepoms="true" pattern="[organization]/[module]/[revision]/[artifact]-[revision].[ext]" root="http://host:port/archiva/repository/snapshots"/> </chain> </resolvers> </ivysettings> The ivy.xml dependencies are simple: <ivy-module version="2.0"> <info organisation="com.myorg" module="myapp"/> <dependencies> <dependency org="com.myorg" name="myartifact" rev="1.8.0-SNAPSHOT" changing="true"/> </dependencies> </ivy-module> Ivy does not attempt to resolve a timestamped artifact. • Access restriction on class due to restriction on required library rt.jar?

    - by sal
I'm attempting to compile Java 1.4 code that was created by IBM's WSDL2Java on Java5 without recreating the stubs and saw this error in Eclipse. I'm under the assumption that the stubs created should just compile as long as the runtime jars are available (they are). Access restriction: The type QName is not accessible due to restriction on required library C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.5.0_16\jre\lib\rt.jar The full classname is javax.xml.namespace.QName What exactly is going on here? Is this a case where I am trying to refactor a pig from sausage? Am I better off recreating the stubs?

  • Problem running a simple EJB application

    - by Spi1988
I am currently running a simple EJB application using a stateless Session Bean. I am working on NetBeans 6.8 with Personal Glassfish 3.0 and I have installed on my system both the Java EE and the Java SE. I don't know whether it is relevent but I am running Windows7 64-bit version. The Session Bean I implemented has just one method sayHello(); which just prints hello on the screen. When I try to run the application I'm getting the following error: pre-init: init-private: init-userdir: init-user: init-project: do-init: post-init: init-check: init: deps-jar: deps-j2ee-archive: MyEnterprise-app-client.init: MyEnterprise-ejb.init: MyEnterprise-ejb.deps-jar: MyEnterprise-ejb.compile: MyEnterprise-ejb.library-inclusion-in-manifest: MyEnterprise-ejb.dist-ear: MyEnterprise-app-client.deps-jar: MyEnterprise-app-client.compile: MyEnterprise-app-client.library-inclusion-in-manifest: MyEnterprise-app-client.dist-ear: MyEnterprise-ejb.init: MyEnterprise-ejb.deps-jar: MyEnterprise-ejb.compile: MyEnterprise-ejb.library-inclusion-in-manifest: MyEnterprise-ejb.dist-ear: pre-pre-compile: pre-compile: do-compile: post-compile: compile: pre-dist: post-dist: dist-directory-deploy: pre-run-deploy: Starting Personal GlassFish v3 Domain Personal GlassFish v3 Domain is running. • How can I include platform-specific native libraries in the .JAR file using Eclipse?

    - by Martin Wiboe
Hello all, I am just starting to learn JNI. I have been following a simple example, and I have created a Java app that calls a Hello World method in a native library. I'd like to target Win32 and Linux x86. My library resides in a DLL, and I can call it just fine using LoadLibrary when the DLL is added to the root of my Eclipse project. However, I can't figure out how to get Eclipse to export a runnable JAR that includes the DLL and the .SO file for Linux. So my question is basically; how would you go about creating a project in Eclipse and include several versions of the same native library? Thank you, Martin

  • Ant + JUnit = ClassNotFoundExceptions when running tests?

    - by rfkrocktk
    I'm trying to run some tests in Ant presently using JUnit, and all of my tests are failing with the following stacktrace: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: com.mypackage.MyTestCase It doesn't make too much sense to me. I'm first compiling my test cases using <javac>, then directly running the <junit> task to run the tests. My buildfile looks like this: <target name="compile.webapp.tests"> <javac srcdir="${test.java.src.dir}" destdir="${test.java.bin.dir}"> <classpath> <filelist> <file name="${red5.home}/red5.jar"/> <file name="${red5.home}/boot.jar"/> <file name="${bin.dir}/${ant.project.name}.jar"/> </filelist> <fileset dir="${red5.lib.dir}" includes="**/*"/> <fileset dir="${main.java.lib.dir}" includes="**/*"/> <fileset dir="${test.java.lib.dir}" includes="**/*"/> </classpath> </javac> </target> <target name="run.webapp.tests"> <junit printsummary="true"> <classpath> <filelist> <file name="${red5.home}/red5.jar"/> <file name="${red5.home}/boot.jar"/> <file name="${bin.dir}/${ant.project.name}.jar"/> </filelist> <fileset dir="${red5.lib.dir}" includes="**/*.jar"/> <fileset dir="${main.java.lib.dir}" includes="**/*.jar"/> <fileset dir="${test.java.lib.dir}" includes="**/*.jar"/> </classpath> <formatter type="xml"/> <batchtest todir="${test.java.output.dir}"> <fileset dir="${test.java.bin.dir}" includes="**/*TestCase*"/> </batchtest> </junit> </target> This is really weird, I can't seem to fix this. Is there something I'm doing wrong here?

  • Java: Use jar library's from package manager in Linux.

    - by jonescb
I'm trying to find the best way to use Java libraries that were installed by the package manager instead of just putting a copy into ${project.root}/lib My distro, Gentoo, has a package for Java libraries like jdbc-postgresql. It's installed to /usr/share/jdbc-postgresql/lib/jdbc-postgresql.jar I assume that this path may be different in Ubuntu, Fedora, or Arch. Is there any way to do like what C does? Where you just add a -lfoo, and the linker would find libfoo.so. I'm using Ant 1.8.0 and Java 1.6.0_19.

  • How to perform ant path mapping in war task?

    - by eljenso
I have several JAR file pattern sets, like <patternset id="common.jars"> <include name="external/castor-1.1.jar" /> <include name="external/commons-logging-1.2.6.jar" /> <include name="external/itext-2.0.4.jar" /> ... </patternset> I also have a war task containing a lib element: ... Like this however, I end up with a WEB-INF/lib containing the subdirectories from my patterns: WEB-INF/lib/external/castor-1.1.jar WEB-INF/lib/external/... Is there any way to flatten this, so the JAR files appear top-level under WEB-INF/lib, regardless of the directories specified in the patterns? I looked at mapper but it seems you cannot use them inside lib.

  • Creating java executable using JNI ?

    - by Xinus
I am trying to create executable under windows platform for Java program using JNI ,C/C++ and invocation API, I have already created jar file for my program which includes all dependencies. I want to embed it in exe file, I was successful in running simple main class(present in file system) using JNI invocation API, I am planning to add jar file as resource in C/C++ program. But I don't know how do I run that jar file , One option is create temporary jar file on file system and run it using java, But I do not want to expose my jar file to everyone for security reasons, How can I run serialized jar file on the fly using JNI ?
