  • Thunderbird 3.1.7 file system and file extensions

    I have lost all email messages and folders in my Thunderbird program. Where can I look for them? The messages were organized in folders for several years. My system is Windows XP. I have looked in the Thunderbird Profiles default profile folder. I can see Inbox and Trash but none of the other folders I have set up are visible. I cannot directly open Inbox or Trash so I don't know if my lost messages are in these folders. Others in the Community Forum seem to have the same problem but no one has answered them or me. Is there someone in this community who can help? Thank you, Sharon Bode

  • How can I audit a Linux filesystem for files which have been changed or added within a specific time

    We are a website design/hosting company running several sites on a Linux server using Joomla 1.5.14 and recently someone was able exploit a vulnerability in the RW Cards component to write arbitrary files/modify existing files on our filesystem enabling them to do some nasty things to our customers sites. We have removed vulnerable modules from all sites but are still seeing some problems. We suspect that they still have some scripts installed and need a way to audit anything that has been changed or added in the last 10 days. Is there a command or script we can run to do this?

  • .htaccess deny from all does not work?

    I am running Apache 2.2.20 on a Ubuntu 11.04 web server. I have a Joomla site running on it, but I have also added some custom content. In the main web directly I have added a folder /images/sub_folder and in this sub_folder I have put a bunch of pictures. I do not want anyone to be able to simply access these pictures directly from the web, so I made a .htaccess file in that sub_folder and just put the following line in it: deny from all There doesn't seem to be any effect, I can still access the images directly from a web browser. I have restarted the Apache service. What am I doing wrong? Thanks Tim

  • Trouble with mod_rewrite and PHP Extensions - Help Making the Correct .htaccess File

    I'm looking for a set of simple rules and redirects for my site. I've tried so many combinations that I'm starting to get confused. I'm not sure how to set this up. Generally, without mod-rewrite, I would use relative paths to link to files: <a href="link.php">Link</a> if it's in the same directory. Now I'd like to use this: <a href="link">Link</a> And so if you go to this page: localhost/mysite/link it will take you to the correct place, which would be: localhost/mysite/link.php But also, many directory levels deep I would like it to work as well: localhost/mysite/group/link2 would go to: localhost/mysite/group/link2.php and: localhost/mysite/group/section/link3 would go to: localhost/mysite/group/section/link3.php But then in all these cases, if someone were to type in this: localhost/mysite/group/section/link3.php in the URL bar, it would show this: localhost/mysite/group/section/link3 Thanks

Recently I have noticed, that the resource consumption of the Firefox process rose to unacceptable levels for my rather weak Laptop. How can I identify the add-ons responsible for this? I do not want to uninstall all the add-ons since I think some of them really make my life easier. Is there a way to profile my Firefox plugins, preferably over a period of time?

Unfortunately, when trying to unit test methods that use this technique I am experiencing random failures. ~3 out of every five executions of a test that contain this code fails. I can verify this by setting breakpoints in Foo and observing that they are never reached. Further, I can force a long delay after calling DoMethodThatInvokesService (which kicks off the async call), and the code is still never run. I do know that the lines of code invoking the Rx framework were called. Other things I've tried: I have attempted to modify the second last line according to the suggestions here: Reactive Extensions Rx - unit testing something with ObserveOnDispatcher No love. I have added .Take(1) to the Rx code as follows: func(inData).ObserveOnDispatcher().Take(1).Subscribe(x = Foo(x)); This improved my failure rate to something like 1 in 5, but they still occurred. I have rewritten the Rx code to use the plain jane Async pattern. This works, however my developer ego really would love to use Rx instead of boring old begin/end. In the end I do have a work around in hand (i.e. don't use Rx), however I feel that it is not ideal. If anyone has ran into this problem in the past and found a solution, I'd dearly love to hear it.

    When I look at the example of the user extensions of GWT-Ext I saw the Spinner as a user extension: http://www.gwt-ext.com/demo-ux/#spinner When I download the library from http://code.google.com/p/gwt-ext-ux/downloads/list (I downloaded the latest build -- 0.3.0) it does not appear to contain the Spinner class. Can anyone point me in the right direction for how to use it?

    Visual Studio 2010 has official Extensions for SharePoint 2010, which also includes MSBUILD .targets. I'm setting up a Continuous Integration Server at the moment, and msbuild can't compile my SharePoint projects as these targets are missing. Before I start manually identifying and copying over the SP stuff, I wonder if there is a standalone version so that I don't have to install VS2010 on my CI Server?

  • Disk usage on IIS, PHP5, performance problems.

    Hi everybody, I'm quite worried with a performance problem that I'm facing in one of our production servers. I'm working for a hosting company, so you can imagine how heterogeneous the applications runnning here are. All started with a call of a client complaining about the speed loading a Joomla. The setup is IIS6 (Windows 2003) with PHP5 and FAST CGI wich normally works pretty well. I've tested the loading time and indeed, he was right. 7 or 8 seconds to load, when usually this can be accomplished in 2. Seeing this results, I started to check first CPU and RAM. Everithing normal, 2GB of RAM free, 3%-8% of CPU activity. That's what I call a relaxed server ;). Unfortunately, digging a little deeper I've found the 'PhysicalDisk' counters quite high (above 10), specially the read queues. I've used Process Explorer to see wich of those processes has the higher deltas, but everything seemed normal. As the problem is specially related to PHP pages, I've checked specific IIS counters, as Actual connections, Number of CGI requeriments and Number of ISAPI requeriments. CGI -> 3 to 7 ISAPI -> 5 to 9 Connections-> 90 to 120 (wich appears at the top of the graph) More than a solution (I know this is hard to find), I would like to know if you have an specifical methodology to face this kind of problems.     Hi Guys, Like everyone of us, I have my own dreams about developing the next cool product that will be adopted by many users and become industry standard. Surprisingly, I find that the most challenging task is to keep my website up & running. My site is being hacked again and again no matter what I do - I blocked the FTP connections, changed the Joomla (CMS) database table names, installed all latest patches and what not. The web site supports the product (over 1800 users now...) by generating licenses, support forums, documentation, galleries etc. The product which is a winforms application cannot be marketed without this web site. My question: Do you have any innovative idea about securing joomla based web sites or what is the best secured web hosting you know. currently i'm hosting my site at ixwebhosting and i like them very much but obviously i can't do any serious marketing being hacked over and over again Thank you very much, Adi Barda
