  • nginx inserting extra characters in Multi-status reply body

    Here's the setup. I've got one server running apache/php hosting ownCloud. Among other things, I'm using to do CardDAV contact syncing. In order to make things work with my domain I have an nginx server running on the frontend as a reverse-proxy to the ownCloud server. My nginx config is as follows: server { listen 80; server_name cloud.mydomain.com; location / { proxy_set_header X-Forwarded-Host cloud.mydomain.com; proxy_set_header X-Forwarded-Proto http; proxy_set_header X-Forwarded-For $remote_addr; client_max_body_size 0; proxy_redirect off; proxy_pass http://server; } } The problem is that when my phone does a PROPFIND on the server, nginx adds extra characters to the content body that throw the phone off. Specifically, it prepends d611\r\n at the front of the body and appends 0\r\n\r\n to the end of the content. (I got this from wireshark.) It also re-chunks the result. How do I get nginx to send the original content as-is?

    Hello all, I have a RHEL3 server with sendmail configured to relay mail to: # "Smart" relay host (may be null) DSmailrelay This relay server is an exchange server not administered by me. A few days ago its IP address was changed without my knowledge so I've updated the correct ip in /etc/hosts for the mail relay entry. The administrator of this machine has put it back to me saying he sees no problems, and I just want to cover everything before passing it back to him. Is there any other tests/logs/reasons for sendmail to only report it as "stat=queued" ? I've looked in previous logs and the relay is set to root@localhost in those but none were ever set to queued.   • Alternative to arrow keys in Google Chrome location bar

    I like Google Chrome because it is fast but I don't like using the arrow keys in the location bar to complete URLs. Is there any extension, or setting I'm missing, that allows me to use the Tab key (or other customizable key) for completion like in Firefox? I am an Emacs user and am aware of Conkeror. I just wanted to give Google Chrome a fair chance. Edit: I'm using version 4.0.266.0 on Linux.

    I have recently got a laptop with windows 7 installed and it is showing normal task bar at bottom and one taskbar with glass like background (I think I seen similar one in either mac or ubuntu) which have the icons for accessing internet, email, mediaplayer. But after sometime it suddenly disappeared and I don't know how to get it back? I don't even know what it is called ;( Can anybody please help?

  • Browser displays 'Apache is functioning normally' when I enter 'http://you/' in the location bar

    I am on a Mac and when I enter http://you/ in the location bar, it displays 'Apache is functioning normally' no matter which browser (Safari, Firefox, Chrome) I am using. Is this normal? Or could it be that my computer is hacked in some way and is now acting as a server for the hackers? EDIT: I originally wanted to go to the youtube.com, but entered http://you/ by accident and found out this strange behavior.

    I'm using nginx + passenger. I'm trying to understand the nginx response 200 and 304. What does this both means? Sometimes, it responses back in 304 and others only 200. Reading the YUI blog, it seems browser needs the header "Last-Modified" to verify with the server. I'm wondering why the browser need to verify the last modified date. Here is my nginx configuration: location / { root /var/www/placexpert/public; # <--- be sure to point to 'public'! passenger_enabled on; rack_env development; passenger_use_global_queue on; if ($request_filename ~* ^.+\.(jpg|jpeg|gif|png|ico|css|js|swf)$) { expires max; break; } } How would I add the header "Last-Modified" to the static files?   • System Centre Essentials 2007 Clients Losing Status

    Clients that have been reporting their state fine suddenly start reporting "Windows 0.0" for their OS and "Not yet contacted" for their Last Contacted date even though previously these values were present and correct. Any idea why this might be happening? I've spend a long time playing with wsauclt etc and just when I think I've the problem it comes back again! Thanks.

  • Interface to collect successful remote backups status

    I would like to deploy into our infrastructure a web interface that could register when the copies are finished and if for some reason they haven't. The current issue is that we are doing on site backups for customers, for each backup a mail is sent ad the end of the backup, the problems is that sometimes the mail isn't sent for a variety of reasons: System doesn't have internet Backup system crashed before sending the mail etc.. What I'd like to do is to have a web interface that the backup software cant visit after doing the backup (either if it's a success or a fail), that acknowledges that the backup has finished, after some time, I'd like to receive a report of the machines that hadn't done the backup. Is there anything remotely similar to this that I could use/adapt to our environment? UPDATE: Just found out this (paessler.com) that seems to be a privative solution of what I intended.

  • Get WebDav uploading progress and status (Linux, davfs2)

    I am using WebDAV on Linux box with davfs2 1.4.6. When I copy a file to a mounted WebDAV service, it is goes rather fast, just like a regular local drive operation. And it actually is, because the file is first copied to ~/.davf2/cache directory. But how do I know that uploading is finished and where do I see current progress? Is there a way to know that uploading failed due to lack of space or file size restrictions?

  • Delivery Status Notification (Relay) in Exchange Server 2007 with original email attachment

    I have recently setup Exhchange Server 2007. The server is smarthosting outgoing messages. Users have 'request delivery receipt' on by default their 'auditing' purposes in Outlook. They would like the original email attached to the delivery notification as was the case in Exchange Server 2003. I need this same functionality in 2007. The question has been asked here, here and here but cannot find a valid solution. Here's some information about the functionality in Exchange 2003. The question is, can i replication this functionality in 2007? Here is what a 2007 delivery message looks like: I know it's possible to customize DSN's. Can I make a custom DSN for this type of message and have the original included as an attachment? Anyone got any other ideas?

  • Windows Live Messenger stops space bar working

    On Windows Vista, the included Windows Live Messenger frequently stops the space bar working after a long period (or is it after I put the computer into standby). It is frustrating to have to exit Windows Live Messenger and re-start just so I can type spaces in conversations. Anybody else have this problem?
