  I'm trying to draw two sprites on the same screen. I have defined the two sprite objects in two separate class files. If I comment out two lines (see "item 1" comment below) then I get a display as [a backgroundimage[background2.jpg] with a sprite[grossini.png] on the left side. If I uncomment the two lines I do not get the background image and sprite of (gameScreen.m). I get only the sprite [grossinis_sister1.png] defined in (enemy.m). But what I need is a [backgroundimage[background2.jpg]], sprite[grossini.png] and sprite [grossinis_sister1.png] in one screen.   In my app, i use UIImageView and UIScrollView to show lot of pictures(Every time there are about 20 pictures and every pictures about 600px*500px and size is about 600KB ), i use for this code to do this function. • View isn't scrolling back down after I dismiss the keyboard

  I have a Tab Bar app. One of the views has a UITextView that is hidden by the keyboard when touched. I've set the view to scroll to account for the keyboard but it the view doesn't always return to it's original position after I dismiss the keyboard.   I had a NIB with several view controllers in it. I modified the code and used Interface Builder decomose interface to get all the view controllers in their own Nib. But now with empty core data database, I'm getting "message sent to deallocated instance" errors. But in the code they are mentioning about password and password confirmation, while there are no such fields in the model. Model has only hashed_password. I am sure mistake is with me.   I have foreach function which calls specified function on every element which it contains. I want to get minimum from thise elements but I have no idea how to write lambda or function or even a class that would manage that. Thanks for every help. I use my foreach function like this: o.foreach( lambda i: i.call() ) or o.foreach( I.call ) I don't like to make a lists or other objects. I want to iterate trough it and find min. I manage to write a class that do the think but there should be some better solution than that: class Min: def __init__(self,i): self.i = i def get_min(self): return self.i def set_val(self,o): if o.val < self.i: self.i = o.val m = Min( xmin ) self.foreach( m.set_val ) xmin = m.get_min() Ok, so I suppose that my .foreach method is non-python idea. I should do my Class iterable because all your solutions are based on lists and then everything will become easier. In C# there would be no problem with lambda function like that, so I though that python is also that powerful.

• Paged UIScrollView with UIImageViews only showing first UIImageVIew

  I am working on a paged UIScrollView, but it only wants to show the first UIImageView within it. I add each UIImageView at an offset of the width of the scroll view, so that should create each page. When run, it says the scroll view is the right number of pages, but the images don't show.   I want to generate some XML in a stored procedure based on data in a table. The following insert allows me to add many nodes but they have to be hard-coded or use variables (sql:variable): SET @MyXml.modify(' insert <myNode> {sql:variable("@MyVariable")} </myNode> into (/root[1]) ') So I could loop through each record in my table, put the values I need into variables and execute the above statement. But is there a way I can do this by just combining with a select statement and avoiding the loop? Edit I have used SELECT FOR XML to do similar stuff before but I always find it hard to read when working with a hierarchy of data from multiple tables. I was hoping there would be something using the modify where the XML generated is more explicit and more controllable.

• MS Access 2003 - Unbound Form uses INSERT statement to save to table; what about subforms?

  So I have an unbound form that I use to save data to a table on button click. Is there a way I can have subforms for entry that will allow me to save data to the table within that same button click? Basically I want to add more entry options for the user, and while I know other ways to do it, I am particularly curious about doing it this way (if it can be done). So lets say the 'parent form' is frmMain. And there are two child forms "sub1" and "sub2". Just for example sake lets say on frmMain there are two text boxes: txtTitle & txtAuthor. sub1 and sub2 both have a text Box on them that represent something like prices. The idea is Title & author of a book, and then a price at each store (simplified). I tried this and got an "Access cannot find the form "" ". I think I can pretty much see why on this approach too, because when I click the button that calls the new sub form into the parent form, the values that were just entered are not held/saved as sub1 closes and sub2 opens. I should mention that the idea above is not intended to be a one or the other approach, rather both sub forms used everytime. so this is an example. i want to use this method (if possible) to have about 7 different sub form choices in one form, and be able to save to a table via a SQL statement. I realize that there may be better ways, but I am just wondering if I can get there with this approach out of curiousity. Thanks as always!

  Are there any repositories around for open sourced iPhone components? For instance, I have found myself needing to create several new types of table cells to mimic some of Apple's existing functionality (for instance, all the different types of table cells present in the Settings application). I can't imagine I'm alone here. Where do you go to find open sourced reusable components, or do you just write and hoard your own? Update: I know there are open source full projects around (see this question), but rummaging through them and picking and choosing still leads to significant duplication of effort. • SQL Server Table locks in long query - Solution: NoLock?

  a report in my application runs a query that needs between 5 - 15 seconds (constrained to count of rows that will be returned). The query has 8 joins to nearly all main-tables of my application (Customers, sales, units etc). A little tool shows me, that in this time, all those 8 tables are locked with a shared table lock. That means, no update operation will be done in this time. A solution from a friend is, to have every join in the query, which is not mandetory to have 100% correct data (dirty read), with a NoLock, so only 1 of this 8 tables will be locked completly. Is that a good solution? For a report in which 99% of data came from one table, unlock the less prio tables?

  I want to write a Mysql statement that selects all from a table(posting) where title is like $title except for the title of $title. Basically I want to display all related posting of a certain posting. I want the query to select all the postings in the table that has the title name in the title and detail. But I don't want the posting to display in the related postings. $query="Select * From posting Where title,detail, like %$title% except $title"; how do I write the except part?
