  • Real Time LaTeX?

    I'm looking for an application in which I can write pure LaTeX in one half of the screen and on the other half to see the compiled document in real time. This seems really like an obvious way to do LaTeX authoring but it doesn't look like any software is able to do it. LyX is not what I'm looking for. I want to edit the actual LaTeX and see it rendered in real time. Why isn't this already being done somewhere?

  • Ignore SSL errors in Zend_Http_Client

    In PHP curl there are two functions used to ignore all SSL errors (invalid cert, self signed, expired, so on): curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_SSL_VERIFYHOST, false); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_SSL_VERIFYPEER, false); I am switching over to use Zend_Http_Client, but I can't seem to find a way to force it to ignore errors. (I don't have a way to test it just yet, I wanted to see if anybody has done this before) So, does anybody know the equivalent function/functions to do this in Zend_Http_Client?

  • Bash: "xargs cat", adding newlines after each file

    I'm using a few commands to cat a few files, like this: cat somefile | grep example | awk -F '"' '{ print $2 }' | xargs cat It nearly works, but my issue is that I'd like to add a newline after each file. Can this be done in a one liner? (surely I can create a new script or a function that does cat and then echo -n but I was wondering if this could be solved in another way)

  • How to include clean target in makefile

    I have a makefile that looks like this CXX = g++ -O2 -Wall all: code1 code2 code1: code1.cc utilities.cc $(CXX) $^ -o $@ code2: code2.cc utilities.cc $(CXX) $^ -o $@ What I want to do next is to include 'clean target' so that every time I run 'make' it will automatically delete the existing binary files of code1 and code2 before creating the new ones. I tried to put these lines at the very end of the makefile, but it doesn't work clean: rm -f $@ echo Clean done What's the right way to do it?

What I thought about would be like a server interface, meaning explorer.exe would send "queries", like, list directory, or get file through a pipe or whatever... I wanted to see if there were other sites where people have uploaded or voted on other themes to view and download.   • Ideas for student parallel programming project

    I'm looking to do a parallel programming project in C (probably using pthreads or maybe OpenMP) for a class. It will done by a group of about four students, and should take about 4 weeks. I was thinking it would be interesting to attack some NP-complete problem with a more complex algorithm like a genetic algo with simulated annealing, but I'm not sure if it would be a big enough project. Anyone knew of any cool problems that could benefit from a parallel approach?

    Hi, how can i replace ubuntu logo,(white logo with black background) which comes very first while booting (it also comes while shuting down) in ubuntu 9.10. I am able to replace other images, which comes after this image. I have done it by replaceing my images with the images present in /usr/share/images/xflash.But it is not possible to replace the mentioned image by this way.
