    Using this jquery code I am trying to change the display from none to block for the second ul under Sale which is under Belts (It has a belts-1 href). The below code should be accessing the second element but its not.     Hello, i have an php/mysql/ajax auction application application. Now there is a section that can have 3 states. State one, the user can place a bid.(Bid button is shown) State two, the user has to wait before he can place a new bid(number of sec is shown) State three, the user has an auto bidding system enabled.(The price maximum and amount ate shown). Now i get these values trough jquery ajax, and i want to present the user the right section. I was wondering if there is an easier method to accomplish such a thing. Speed is a huge issue for me because this has to run every second in the users browser. Is it possible somehow with jQuery to find the common elements and add a class to the divs in #set1 that have the same id with divs in #set2?   • IE is doing strange things with JQuery

    So ... The thing is, the code works in FireFox, no problems. But when I open the same page, it gives me the following error: "Undefined is null or not an object." But when I copy the code to a localhost page, it works fine. Also when I clear my cache in IE it works, but only once, if I refresh after that one load, it gives me the same error.   • Difficulty with jQuery and input keydown event

    I am making a simple JavaScript enhanced list. I want it to be a list of inputs, each with an 'Add' and 'Remove' button. If the user clicks 'Add', a new li will be added. If the user clicks 'Remove', that li will be removed. It works fine, except for hitting "enter" in an <input>. Currently, it always causes the Remove.click event handler to fire, unless there's only one item in the list. I'm not sure why. How can I suppress this? Here is the complete jQuery. My attempt to fix the "enter" issue is commented out, and it doesn't work.     So I've found similar questions but none that answer all the questions I have and I know there must be a simple jQuery answer to this. I've got multiple images that are being dynamically placed in their own containing div that have overflow:hidden, they need to fill their containing divs and be centered(horizontally and vertically) also. The containing divs will be different sizes as well. So in short: multiple different sized images fill and center in containing div. containing divs will be different sizes. will be used multiple times on a page.     I would like to filter a JTable, but I don't understand how I can do it. I have read How to Use Tables - Sorting and Filtering and I have tried with the code below, but with that filter, no rows at all is shown in my table. And I don't understand what column it is filtered on. private void myFilter() { RowFilter<MyModel, Object> rf = null; try { rf = RowFilter.regexFilter(filterFld.getText(), 0); } catch (java.util.regex.PatternSyntaxException e) { return; } sorter.setRowFilter(rf); } MyModel has three columns, the first two are strings and the last column is of type Integer. How can I apply the filter above, consider the text in filterFld.getText() and only filter the rows where the text is matched on the second column? I would like to show all rows that starts with the text specified by filterFld.getText(). I.e. if the text is APP then the JTable should contain the rows where the second column starts with APPLE, APPLICATION but not the rows where the second column is CAR, ORANGE.   • Action Filter Dependency Injection in ASP.NET MVC 3 RC2 with StructureMap

    Hi, I've been playing with the DI support in ASP.NET MVC RC2. I have implemented session per request for NHibernate and need to inject ISession into my "Unit of work" action filter. If I reference the StructureMap container directly (ObjectFactory.GetInstance) or use DependencyResolver to get my session instance, everything works fine: ISession Session { get { return DependencyResolver.Current.GetService<ISession>(); } } However if I attempt to use my StructureMap filter provider (inherits FilterAttributeFilterProvider) I have problems with committing the NHibernate transaction at the end of the request. It is as if ISession objects are being shared between requests. I am seeing this frequently as all my images are loaded via an MVC controller so I get 20 or so NHibernate sessions created on a normal page load. I added the following to my action filter: ISession Session { get { return DependencyResolver.Current.GetService<ISession>(); } } public ISession SessionTest { get; set; } public override void OnResultExecuted(System.Web.Mvc.ResultExecutedContext filterContext) { bool sessionsMatch = (this.Session == this.SessionTest); SessionTest is injected using the StructureMap Filter provider. I found that on a page with 20 images, "sessionsMatch" was false for 2-3 of the requests. My StructureMap configuration for session management is as follows: For<ISessionFactory>().Singleton().Use(new NHibernateSessionFactory().GetSessionFactory()); For<ISession>().HttpContextScoped().Use(ctx => ctx.GetInstance<ISessionFactory>().OpenSession()); In global.asax I call the following at the end of each request: public Global() { EndRequest += (sender, e) => { ObjectFactory.ReleaseAndDisposeAllHttpScopedObjects(); }; } Is this configuration thread safe? Previously I was injecting dependencies into the same filter using a custom IActionInvoker. This worked fine until MVC 3 RC2 when I started experiencing the problem above, which is why I thought I would try using a filter provider instead. Any help would be appreciated Ben P.S.     I am building an Android application that requires OAuth. I have all the OAuth functionality working except for handling the callback from Yahoo. I have the following in my AndroidManifest.xml : <intent-filter> <action android:name="android.intent.action.VIEW"></action> <category android:name="android.intent.category.DEFAULT"></category> <category android:name="android.intent.category.BROWSABLE"></category> <data android:host="www.test.com" android:scheme="http"></data> </intent-filter> Where www.test.com will be substituted with a domain that I own. It seems : This filter is triggered when I click on a link on a page. It is not triggered on the redirect by Yahoo, the browser opens the website at www.test.com It is not triggered when I enter the domain name directly in the browser. So can anybody help me with When exactly this intent-filter will be triggered? Any changes to the intent-filter or permissions that will widen the filter to apply to redirect requests? Any other approaches I could use? Thanks for your help.

    Hey! I've got a quick question about the jQuery UI DatePicker. When I load the page, defaultDate: 0 will work fine with selecting the current day's date. I would like to create a 'fake' click on the date so it will execute my JavaScript function and retrieve information from the database.   • Jquery fadeOut looking different in FF than in Chrome/Safari

    Hey all, i have a page that when a user desides to delete a company, it fades out using the jquery fadeOut() command. This works great and does as it should in FireFox but for some reason it doesn't do the same in Chrome/Safari browsers. The problem is that i have a png image overlay on top of the company logo image that also fades out with the company logo. But if there are more than one company logo on the page, it moves the others in the place where the one got deleted. Like i said, it works fine (and as it should) in Firefox and even IE (SHOCK!) but not in Chrome or Safari.     I'm building a simple proof-of-concept for an iPad-specific website that would use video transitions to bring users from section to section. For purposes of the proof of concept, each "section" is just an image with a semitransparent content text box positioned above it. There are just 2 sections, "home" and "contact", and they've got a transition video sandwiched between them via z-indexing. The idea for the proof of concept is that clicking on the "home" section causes it to disappear, followed by playback of the transition video, which (upon completion) disappears to reveal the "contact" section. Everything is working fine with this version of the demo on the iPad and on Safari for Windows and OS X. On the iPad, however, the text box fades out as expected and the home section disappears as well, but the video stubbornly refuses to start playing. I really don't know why this would be the case, but that's what's happening. I'd appreciate any advice you might have!     I can't quite wrap my head around this one... A table like the one below is spit out by a renderer from some XML. The XML it comes from has a variable depth. (Please point out if I'm using the rowspans in a horrific manner as well, I just came to this table with some experimentation). <table border="1"> <tr> <td rowspan="12">> 1</td> </tr> <tr> <td rowspan="3">1 > 2</td> </tr> <tr> <td>1 > 2 > 5</td> </tr> <tr> <td>1 > 2 > 6</td> </tr> <tr> <td rowspan="3">1 > 3</td> </tr> <tr> <td>1 > 3 > 7</td> </tr> <tr> <td>1 > 3 > 8</td> </tr> <tr> <td rowspan="3">1 > 4</td> </tr> <tr> <td>1 > 4 > 9</td> </tr> <tr> <td>1 > 4 > 10</td> </tr> </table> What I'm trying to accomplish in JQuery is this... User clicks cell "1 2" (which will have an ID). An item is dynamically added to the third level, but UNDER "1 2 6". What I could do is just add another row underneath "1 2" and increase the rowspan from "1 2", but the new cell would then appear out of order amongst "1 2 5" and "1 2 6". I don't really need the exact code to do this, just something to stop my head from spinning around this...Thanks!

  • Slow Jquery Animation

    I have this webpage : http://miloarc.pyrogenicmedia.com/ Which atm is nothing special. It has a few effects but none that break the bank. If you mouse over a tile, it should change it's opacity to give it a fade effect. This is done through the Jquery Animation, not through CSS (I do this so it can fade, instead of being a straight change). Everything looks nice when the page loads, and the fades look perfect. Infact if you drag your mouse all over the place, if gives you a "trail" almost like a snake. Anyway, My next problem is that you will see there is a box in the top left, which is going to tell you information about the tile you are hovering over. This seems to work fine. When you mouse over that information box, it switches it's position (So that you can reach the tiles that were previously hidden underneath it). From my understanding, this is all working fine, and to the letter. However, After one move of the info box (One hover). Viewing the page in Firefox turns slugish. As in, after a successful move of the info box, the fade effects become very stuttered, and it doesn't pick up events as fast meaning you can't draw a "trail" on the screen. Chrome doesn't have this issue. It seems to work fine no matter what. Safari also seems ok. Although I do notice if I move my mouse really fast, it does jump a bit but not as much as firefox. Internet explorer doesn't work at all. Seems to crash the browser... And there is an error with the rounded corner plugin im using (Not sure why...). All in all, I think whatever I'm doing inside my code must be heavily sluggish. But I don't know where it is happening.     I cant seem to get my JSON file to work when pulling it in from another domain using JQuerys getJSON. I have placed the callback part at the end of the url but still have no joy.
