• Memory Allocation Error in MySQL

  I am using MySql ODBC driver with .Net 3.5. I have created a stored procedure in MySQl which accepts around 15 parameters with types like datetime, varchar, Int32, Int64 etc.. When I run the SP from the query window with the arguments provided, it runs fine. But whwn I test using the .Net application, it gives exception with "Memory allocation error", MySQL native error code is 4001. Any help will be much appreciated.

  Hi folks, I'll briefly explain what I'm trying to do: I need to sort a set of content-types within a paginated page. Also I need to add filtering to the page, for example each content-type should have a set of tags and the filter needs to filter through these tags. • Restrict access to SSH for one specific user

  I am looking for a way to secure my servers with the following setup: I have a server where I can log in via SSH. The main account there (named "foo") is secured by a keybased login with password. I have another user account (named "bar") that I use to log in via cronjobs running on other servers - this one also has keybased login, but without password. Now I want to limit access to this machine for the "bar" account. The account should only be accessible via known IPs. However, the "foo" account should not be affected by this, this one should basically be accessible from any IP. How can I manage this? Or is there a simpler solution to everything?

  I'm looking for a good batch script that would quickly find & clean all the known safe temporary folders/files from Windows (as many variants as possible) machines (e.g. the windows temp folder, all users IE temp folders, etc.). I'm fond of UI tools like CCleaner (over Cleanmgr.exe), but when I'm trying to clean several computers quickly and/or with minimal involvement, it would be nice to have a script. Plus with a script, I could chain several scripts together. Maybe one to then fire up various antivirus and/or malware detectors. Anyone have a good one or can point to a good resource?

  Hello, I'm writing a customized reflective library for some specialized custom domain logic, and that library is going to use XML configuration files that will dynamically resolve System.Type objects at runtime. However, when writing the XML configuration files, it's a bit of a pain to write the types because they need to be fully qualified assembly names for Type.GetType() to resolve them. Is there a way to find out the AssemblyQualifiedName of an object in Visual Studio without resorting to writing a program to print them out to a file or standard out or anything like that ?

• How do I configure SSIS logging to overwrite the log file?

  My SSIS package has logging configured with a SSIS log provider for text files, which works fine, but each time the package is run the log appends to the end of the log file. I want it to truncate the file and only keep the log from the most recent execution of the package, but I don't see an option anywhere to do that. I've tried both file usage types (Existing file and New file) in the File Connection manager with the same results.

I have a toy webframework in cl that creates and manages web pages with instances of classes that represent the html tags and their properties, and as they are supposed to make an html page, they have children in a slot called children. so I was thinking how much a user's session will cost the server if I take this approach. • How to debug high memory usage by registry?

  I have a windows 2008 r2 server running ADFS2 and some web apps that is having issues with low memory. Digging around I found that the 5.5 GB were being used under Kernel Memory (paged). Further digging with Poolmon, I discovered that the majority of that (5GB+) was being used by CM - configuration manager. Also known as the registry. I'm really now sure how to tell why the registry is using so much memory however, or how to release it? Looking at the physical registry files they don't appear that large. • Accessing WindowsXP shared printer from macbook?

  My new printer is setup on WindowsXP, it works and it is configured as a shared printer. I then setup a printer from Mac OSX 10.6.3 using the approved driver from the setup CD. I browsed for the printer via the network. When I send a test page, it queues, but never prints. Its as if the driver thinks the printer is local to the mac and just never finishes printing. THe configuration shows as: smb://dragoneye/CanonMP2 Where dragoneye is the name of the Windows XP server and the CanonMP2 is the little multi-purpose printer. My other Windows' CPU can setup and print. Is this a known problem or am I missing a setting??

For this reason I would like to get control over what's cached to reduce the risk of cached credentials being used maliciously. It is possible to prevent all caching by zeroing HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\CachedLogonsCount, but this is too indiscriminate: laptops users need to be able to login when away from the network.   I'd like to duplicate the find feature (Ctrl-F in Firefox) for my users. In other words, a text box that as the user types, it finds the first occurrence of that text, and if they press "Next", it highlights the next occurrence and moves the page if necessary. I'm thinking the search input would have to be in a div that remained fixed, and as it found what it was looking for, would insert a named anchor just before it and then follow the hyperlink. Do you think this can be done?

• Login sometimes failing immediately after restoring a database

  We have a set of automated tests that restore a database then run some .net code against the database. Sometimes after the database is restored the login from Ado.net fails. If I re-run the test, then the restore and login works OK. The restored database looks OK when viewed with Management Studio. This is only an problem on some machines. We are using SQL server 2008. Is there a known issue with a database restore “returning “ a very short time before the restored database is up and running.
